  • TIMESTAMPS: The Eden part of the chase starts at, well, the beginning of the video, and the 2nd part, heading to Batavia and remaining there for a bit, starts at 1:41
What a day. The remnants of Beryl still produced severe weather even up into the northeast. This storm lasted all the way from far southwest Chautauqua County to near Batavia before it officially weakened below severe limits.
We drove to Eden, where I now know an EF2/EF3 tornado hit (rating has yet to be official from the NWS), and at the intersection of Jennings Rd. and Each Church St., we were at a light and I saw what looked like circulation in the sky. It had to be the tornado, but it was heavily obscured by trees. I couldn't see anything than the slightest bit of the base of the wall cloud that I know was close. It was scary being within what seemed like a mile to a strong tornado. We then followed the storm all the way back north and east to Batavia where it kept its rotation, but at that point it really started to weaken, but I did see remnant circulation in the clouds above when we parked just north of Batavia. The view was great and if a legit tornado touched down, we would've seen it. We would've seen it back in Elma too but again, we were surrounded by trees. If this was in the great terrain of tornado alley, we would've seen this without a doubt, even from way farther away. Overall still a very active day for severe weather and a day this area will remember for a long time, including me.

If there's ads in my videos before I'm even able to monetize them, it's out of my control. It's weird, because they just started appearing. Once I get to the point where I'm eligible for monetization, it'll be because I enabled it, not because they appear randomly.

Spectacular stuff we got today i would never have exepected a long track tornadic super cell in our area, it was wild seeing and feeling the warm inflow from the south east and seeing the cloud move in oppisite directions with height.

That was the strangest thing even though the storm was much weaker when I noticed this in Batavia, winds rushing in from the opposite direction the storm was, seeing the clouds move so fast and in opposite directions too, with a little bit of lingering rotation it looked like too. Never have experienced that in a storm in my life so far.

@J42274 if the rotation didn't weaken just as it got to Batavia we 100% would've seen a tornado on our chase there after the chase before. The view was perfect for this area.
Even has farm equipment like from Twister too. 😆
You can probably see it in the video.
