- It happened when I first saw a derecho storm from earlier this into our home in Maryville, MO through across Illinois and Indiana states on June 29th, 2023, and NWS's first emergency alert issued DESTRUCTIVE STOTMS for 80 MPH winds hits East of Maryville and law enforcement had many reported a lot of trees damaged the whole city after the storm. It was pretty bad and terrifying with poor trees downed by this derecho storm I've ever seen in my first time. I made more of these videos editing the long footage to give you more views my channel.

That footage contrasting the sunrise and the sounds of a summer morning with the lightning behind the camera is gorgeous. The crossfade around 5:05 shows just how defined the front became. I think 7:30 is the most intimidating though... the leaning trees, the lighting contrast, and the clouds moving at 80 mph.
This is a really epic and cool looking storm! ⛈️ good
Morning Missouri!😂 what a way to start off your day!
Totally awesome and beautiful TA. Loved the cloud movement. Also loved the birds. Wonderful video. Glad you didn't blow away...😊😊

Great footage! What windspeeds did your anemometer measure?
That's what I would like to know also. Probably up to 80MPH.
You guys get the rain we need in lafayette county ❤
How….unexpected. Imagine waking up to start your day, only to find a derecho is heading your way?
سحابة سوبر سيل خضراء مرعبة وموحشة ومفيدة وجميلة شكرا على تصوير هذه اللحظات.
Around 2:13 reminds me of those first couple scenes in Twister before the storm hits.
Glad you’re ok
good job! shared!
Oof, I was in the Student Union building at Northwest when the storm hit. Scary as hell in that building.
How fast did that wind blow according to your anemometer?
Wow
If I had a derecho like this hit me, me heart would be beating faster than that anemometer😅
It crazy I love watching videos of these but scare at the same time we had a bad storm like this in Illinois I say last yr the it was day time I cloud was super dark wind came out of no where.
Thats crazy, i thought green skies usually only happen in the afternoon, i didnt think it was possible in the morning

Amazing!
There had to be a tornado somewhere in this storm

The birds are very noisy that's a sign of something about to happ
Reminds me of the derecho Southern MI had on July 16, 1980, when I was 9 years old. This was known as "The Green Storm." It started in MN and traveled across WI and Lake Michigan into MI, and dissipated in NW OH.
I was only 5 years old for that one. We lost power for 8 days in Livonia. I heard that there were Category 5 hurricane wind gusts in that and railroad cars flipped in Allen Park
I heard it referred to as the orange storm. I just remember everything bright yellow at the end of the storm
I can't even imagine living in peace knowing wat the townspeople inflicted on a rape victim and even being a part of it. 🤢🤮🤮
What about the lightning
