The truck is currently for sale in Pennsylvania at Rayco Eurospec, the sound from these door panels is amazing, the midbass hits you like a punch in the face.
I did the setup, layout, and assembly, I had help from a local shop with the fiberglass and leather wrap. If you are in Pennsylvania, Sonic Sounds in Taylor PA can assist
Electric mods were not to bad, had to extend the harness for the climate control module, 4 wheel drive, and upfitter switches. I also had to block off one of the ac vents. As long as you match the same wire gauge, just extend one conductor at a time.
Amazing work. Finaly someone with a older superduty clean biuld .My trucks a 01 ,couldnt give up the 7.3 Im in the process of making my pliars, door pods and blow thru box for 3) 13w7s. one day my last step i also want to do the same dash for a samsung 12 inch tab.Whats the devices you used to feed your amps a signal .My issue ill have is i have older equipment so i need to use rca's any advice . i have all older jl 1000/1s and 300/2s
Hello, I am replying from my other YT Account. For this build I went from the IPad to the Sony Hi-Res player using the lighting usb cable. From the Sony head unit I used an optical cable to the a Mosconi 8 to 12 Aerospace processor, then from the processor to the Mosconi Amps using RCA’s. I am pretty sure Audio Control makes an adapter that may work for your setup. I would maybe message them and give them the layout of your system and see if there support will message you back with a current part number that would work for you.
I made them, used .25" clear acrylic and had a local sign company make vinyl stickers of the focal logo, then used an airbrush with abrasive medium to frost the exposed acrylic. Finally I edge lit the acrylic with red LED's.
Johnson Lake I did the majority of the work, I had a local shop help me body work the panels and a-pillars once the shape was done, and had an upholstery shop wrap the door panels with leather that matches the seats.
Could u send me some detailed pictures of the a pillars and the door panels both front and rear. Also what did u do for bass? Email me at johnsonlake340@gmail.com. thanks
@@johnsonlake3019 I have a separate videos on the A-Pillars and sub box I built for the truck. I went with (3) JL 12TW3 subs in a ported wedge enclosure. I have to weld brackets to relocate the factory seat bolts in order to fit the enclosure. I put 3 Mosconi amps in the rear window (2) Zero4 and (1) Zero3. I recently sold the pickup to start another project.
Good afternoon, It was hard to tell in the video, but was the dash trim in carbon fiber? Also, if it was or was not what was it? Thank you very much and stay safe
Good afternoon, the dash trim was SEM 39853 texture coat, once dried I used sandpaper to lightly knock down the finish, then used color coat spray paint that was mixed to match the black factory plastics.
When I did mine I ordered a replacement dash from Ford, I highly recommend this because if you mess up you are not without a dash piece. You will then need to purchase an ipad kit that works with your model ipad either from Soundman or Fifield Fabrication, personally I have had better luck with Jamie from Fifield. Epoxy, body filler, sanding primer and SEM color coat spray paint to match your factory dash color. Once the body work was done we sprayed a texture coat on the whole piece, let it dry, then lightly sanded the piece to give it somewhat of a factory grain finish. When you cut the dash to install the ipad you will notice that the top right corner sits about 1.5" above the contour of the factory piece, you will need to build up that corner and shape the piece so it looks good, we used 1/8" abs plastic to do this. Lastly once your piece is complete flip it over and re-enforce the back of the kit to the dash piece to prevent hairline cracks when trying to snap the piece back into the truck. For mine I had to relocate the ac controls, 4 wheel drive button and cover over 1 of the ac vents.
Thank you for the interest in our build. We do not offer this service to the public, this was a personal build. Jamie at FiField Fabrication can quote you, look him up on facebook
Sony RSX-GS9, hi-res head unit, it allows high rate files played from the Ipad and has a Optical output that sends the information to the Mosconi 8to12 Aerospace processor.
The width of the opening is smaller than the width of the Ipad, when you slide it in the right side is held by the mount and the left side is held by the lightning connector.
The truck was completed over 2 years of working on and off. I do not remember the cost of the dash panels, Fifield Fabrication in California did them for me. I did the door pods and the A-pillar pods.
you looked up soundman whos in california but wasnt feasible for you which is understandable but then you looked up other places and ended up finding a guy and shipping to to him who is in California??? that makes no sense lol clean build but story made no sense at start
Thank you for your reply. The location of the shop was not the problem, at the time I contacted Soundman and never received any followup. After not hearing back I searched more and Found Jamie Fifield. Hopefully this clears up the confusion. Thank you for the compliment on the build.
@@AnthraciteElectric ahhh that makes sense then and for sure definitely found someone who knew what they were doing even tho sadly soundman didnt reply
Need a number to call him I got a 2006 zf6 manual 12v cummins swapped quad cab short bed single axle in the rear I just installed black vinyl flooring and black vinyl seat skins I think that doing this headunit and the headliner will make it amazing already got the 15plus face lift newer mirrors and a flat bed on the rear so from the outside it looks a lot newer

Awesome dash man. An inspiration haha I’d just love to put in something with Bluetooth, and honestly I’m dreading pulling the dash apart.
Looks factory and great!

4 year old video. But here I go. Hope you respond. Where did you get your speaker olastics on the doors?
I made them, used .25" clear acrylic and had a local sign company make vinyl stickers of the focal logo, then used an airbrush with abrasive medium to frost the exposed acrylic. Finally I edge lit the acrylic with red LED's.
I removed the vent and sealed off the duct using abs plastic and CA glue
Hi, cool build.. how's the iPad holding up with heat? I keep seeing comments about it overheating in the truck (lack of air flow). Thanks
I never had trouble with heat, though I always used the truck for moderate drives. Never more than 1 hour or so at a time.
I made them with my father. Then had a local upholstery shop wrap them in black leather to match the grain of the seats.
and the demo? I want to hear that doors
Where did you get the bottom bezel under it
Where did you get the door panels and a pillars done at
Looks good, I’m take a few of your ideas
Thanks, let me know if you have any quest
Is there something like this for the 99-03 7.3
i love what you did to your dashboard. i have the same truck and my question to you is how had or what’s involved on the electronic modification?
What was the solution to the air vent behind the iPad? Any moisture concerns or were you able to reroute it?
Where did you get the dash cluster
So you use the iPad to control the radio and Android auto?
No, the ipad was the source, the head unit converted the signal to optical output and sent it to the Mosconi processor.
Can you tell me about the speaker panel in your front doors?
For anyone interested, the pickup truck is for sale in Pennsylvania at raycoeuro.com/listings/2006-ford-f-250-ac8f3a59f2051142bd430cc9d4e59bff/

what did you do with the other a/c vent that was in the front of dash?
I cutout a piece of Kaisen Foam and inserted it in the duct from the vent and used a thin bead of silicon to seal the edge

What did u do about blocking off the vent
I cut a piece of 2” kaizen foam, press fit it into the duct where the vent was and put a small bead of silicon to keep it from slipping

Email me your setup and I’ll see if there is a option other than a single din deck. mike@anthraciteelectric.com
How much did all this cost?
Mike Shea do you do these builds for people? And if so what is the cost for this same set up with updated components?

The idea for the new Ford f150 2021
