(How to Cook Beef Kaldereta | Classic Filipino Sytle Beef Stew)
Beef Kaldereta is a delicious and hearty Filipino stew that’s perfect for special occasions or family gatherings. This flavorful dish is made with tender chunks of beef cook in a rich tomato sauce and loaded with vegetables like potatoes, carrots, and bell peppers. This dish is also similar with English Beef Stew.

Ingredients:
800 g braising steak cut in cubes 1 to 1 1/2 inches
1/2 cup of soy sauce
1/2 cup of lemonade/calamansi, or lemon (alternatives)
4-5 pieces of potatoes cut in quarters
2 large carrots cut in big slices
2 bell peppers cut in big slices
1/2 cup, pickled relish,
100 g cheese
20 pieces of olives
Reno liver spread or pork liver pate (alternative)
500 g tomato sauce
1 tablespoon of tomato purée
400 mls of water
Pang Gisa/ Base sauce :
5-6 pieces of garlic, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 tomato chopped
seasonings :
Fish sauce,
ground black pepper
Salt,
Sugar
Olive oil
