Dude, this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. I had an old 3 bar and I went to a LSA map sensor and actually needed to scale DOWN. If you let holly scale it it's definitely not done correctly. The speadsheet is legit! I love how you can change the breakpoints on the new graphs and it'll automatically populate based on the interpolation. *chef's kiss*
Holy crap man. The dude himself has landed on our channel. Thanks for the support man. I even looked at your channel to see if this was something you had already built, but only saw a video walking through doing it the manual way. (Which is still helpful for somebody doing it for the first time).
@@LeechMotorsports for sure man thats a great spread sheet right there. I'm gonna send this this to some people at holley see if they can incorporate something like this into software
That would make me super happy. I’ll make a simpler version with a function in a macro that will eventually overwrite the sheet out there now. Probably have some time to do that tomorrow.
Made a fresh Google Sheets copy today. Haven't added the function yet, but found a few minor issues. Here's the new link. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fKRAedNg_SSC8pUmmppkT89quGSxhaQrk_EJTYu2oqw/edit?usp=sharing
I just got a holley hp because I can't find a terminator for a sbf so I said the hell with it and got the hp, it's a 363 dart 12.1 compression afr 195 heads 88mm turbo, do you have tunes to buy or a file that's already set up to get me running and maybe remote tune idk, been watching videos to help me get started
We don’t currently offer canned tunes. And honestly not something we are likely to do any time soon. However, we do make custom base tunes for a small fee, which includes a live idle tuning session. Or we can do full remote tuning. That said, we are booked a few months out and are likely to soon quit taking new projects for 2021. Shoot an email to cody@leechmotorsports.com if you’d like to discuss these options in further detail.
Well this saves a crazy amount of time… Thank you for the work ya put into this! Unfortunately I am raising my rpm to 8500 and boost way up. So this will probably help me keep my fueling right where it was.. I’ll just have to figure the rest out. Easy enough. Thank you!
Channel subscriber and love the content. I have a 347 in my fox and need some help setting up my Terminator X. I have learned a lot from you recent videos but not sure how much adjustments need to be made to the 351 base global file. I thought it would be fairly close to get me stated but that may not be the case. Thanks for any possible help.
This almost works perfectly! The problem is that the lowest row for MAP and the highest column for RPM both become invalid unless you change them in the New tables. So if my lowest MAP is 21, I have to change it to at least 21.1 for the cells to display, otherwise they show an error. For RPM, my highest RPM is 5300, so I have to change it to 5299 for the cells to display. I tried it on both the Excel version and the Google Sheets version, both of them have this problem. You made it clear that you can't expand the outer boundaries, but in this case I'm not expanding the boundaries, just trying to keep them the same.
Yeah this has been a design flaw from the beginning. I have since developed a technique for extrapolation that will go all the way up or down as far as you want to go. The further you are outside the bounds of the source values, the less accurate it will be. But it should still serve as a decent approximation. I haven’t coded this yet, but have walked through the logic As an exercise on a recent megasquirt project. And the algorithm should work well for this. May be a month before I’ll have time though. Will 100% add a video and post about it once available. I have many other tools to release this year.
Hey guy I’m about to spring for a terminator x kit and I’m gonna get that y splitter. What is the 48 inch can bus splitter for my Ford kit? Ive looked all over for it. Please and I’m gonna be looking at you for help with the getting a tune going till I understand it. Thanks bub!
I’m no tuner but my car idles at 78 Kpa, so intill I rescaled it, that and rpm axis it totally changed everything, I noticed that there’s videos out there were people try to teach how to tune & I see there axis not scaled right, so pick through videos is what I do
Awesome work mate!!! I love a good spreadsheet, so if you need any help, happy to chip in, not saying I'll have the answer but happy to have a crack 👍👍
Im trying to use the excel file. but for some reason the "new timing table" and "new target AFR" dont scale the RPM as much as the original. Original table goes to 7000rpm.... 'new' table only goes to 6500
Great vid! I bought the terminator x foxbody kit for my N/A 408w swap. I have never done any turning, what platform do you think is a more "beginner friendly" turner studio or holley? I have microsquirt and the terminator x. Thanks man!
Terminator x is definitely more user friendly for a first time tuner to get the car up and running. But you will need some help establishing your target AFR and timing maps if you don’t know what would be good targets. The handheld tunes will it yield optimized settings at all for those two things.
Absolutely. We do remote tuning daily. We support stock mass air computers and all the Holley efi products, and we specialize in small block ford and fox body mustang configurations. Shoot me an email at matt@leechmotorsports.com with your contact info and some information about your project and I’ll give you a call to discuss.
@@LeechMotorsports well thank you for getting back so fast. I will look for one. I’m still waiting on my stimulus check. As soon as it comes I will holler at you when I get it installed. @@LeechMotorsports ok I bought a laptop. But after our last conversation we had a rain here that flooded where I live. Yeah, 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ like I mentioned Im definitely no an excel guy. To the point of even how to really manipulate files. After seeing your reply it dawned on me, I needed to make a copy of it and open that. Epic fail on my part. Lol during my “l’ll take 5 for sanitys sake” I was looking for a possible different root to rescaling. I saw a few guys said they never bothered doing this until after the initial start. Could doing this for a first start scenario be 🤔 well bad? I plan on leaving a nice wide window tho definitely not as tall and prolly wide as the canned tune.
@@brianmiller4466 I always recommend scaling things how you want them to be before even the first startup. Because when you get some of the fuel dialed in, then shift the tables around, you'll end up having to fine tune, even if accurately interpolating things using my tool. I mean, if you're only trying to do a first startup to confirm that the holley is installed correctly and the car will stay running, then do whatever you'd like within reason. But if you're beyond that stage already, no reason to dial in ANYTHING unless you have all the scaling how you want it for the real deal. Just my $.02 Cheers from the 405!

Fantastic! I made a video regarding the scaling in a previous video, and your spreadsheet makes it a lot easier. Thank you and well done!

Do you still have the Excel file? It's gone from the Google drive
