I lived in Coventry in the 60's - early 70s. Broadgate was much nicer when Lady Godiva was surrounded by grass & flowers. Have they changed the double-decker buses from wine colour? I used the buses all the time to go everywhere in Coventry. As I watched this video I was saying the names of the places & shops I knew as you passed them. Would love you to turn left as you walk down the Precinct & go to the market area, presuming it's still there. Thanks for a great video. More please. It makes me very nostalgic watching them. Thanks for the vlog of Coventry UK . I used to live in Coventry, born and raised up until 16 years old but the moved to California USA in 1984 , only been back twice , seems the same. Please upload more of Coventry....🥰
I used to live in Coventry when I was 8 yrs old back in 1988. Me and my mother used to walk down the coventry city centre and it felt like every one was white and staring at me and my mother because I was brown, what a contrast it is now.
Growing up in coventry people staring at each other is a coventry thing, I never realised I did it until I moved to another city and my girlfriend at the time asked why I kept staring at people when I walked past. Went back to coventry a few years ago and it really struck me that a lot of people do it no matter any colour differences. There is a famous saying about being 'sent to coventry' you should look it up.
It's just some school hanging around outside the Mcdonalds in the burges. Coventry centre is quite safe and clean, never had any problems there. A A few of the inner city areas and suburban areas though can be pretty rough.
The Burges was rough as hell in the 80s especially around the taxi rank at night, it is where everyone who wanted to fight hung around after the nightclubs closed. I've seen running battles there between certain areas of the city and some serious blood spilt.
Looks just like any other normal British city in terms of demographics. But it is rough as hell, and there are lots of bad people in that city. More so than most others.

It is not too big, but it has everything that you need. It's easy to walk around. Since the Coventry University is located in the city itself, you can see there are plenty of international students.
