- Oct. 10, 2018 | Abby O'Neill -- The energy in the room was buoyant and vibrant from the moment they walked in the door. OutKast star Big Boi, Sleepy Brown of the prolific Atlanta production collective Organized Noize, and their eight-member backing band have been working together for 20-plus years, and their chemistry is instantaneous and undeniable.
These guys helped redefine the sound and style of hip-hop in the '90s, incorporating funk and psychedelia while transcending genre boundaries. As half of OutKast - still the only rap group ever to take home Album of the Year at the Grammys - Big Boi continues to thrive as a solo act, riding the charts with last year's Boomiverse and its hit single "All Night."
Big Boi played that infectious, horn-drenched banger at the Tiny Desk, and book-ended it with two of his best-known OutKast songs: "So Fresh, So Clean" from 2000's Stankonia and "The Way You Move" from 2003's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. Along the way, he and his stellar supporting players just keep feeding off each other in a set that's bound to leave you smiling.

They did! 2014 Hangout Festival, Gulf shores Alabama. Big Boi and Andre blew it out! Nostalgia washed over me like the waves on the beach. We were all singing along with every song. I hope you get to see them too one day. ❤❤

Big boi is stankonia is the dungeon fam, and for sure carries outkast. 2 decades strong 💪. Not that there isn’t anyone else there but he is consistently. Maintaining hit after hit after hit. Still relevant still cooler than a polar bears.... well you get it...... thank you for letting a country white girl from not too far from the A feel exactly what was coming from the heart. College park to the moon and back we went there. And it moved me into the human I am today.🙏🙏🙏❤️🙏

See im from the old ATL. One of the first true Aqueminians. When it comes to Outkast, Dre and Big Boi cannot outshine each other. They are two bright stars, gleaming in their own galaxy. Their galaxies just so happened to cross and created a super nova.

I’m obsessed with Big Boi.. Don’t get it twisted but man the 90s in me was ready *Southernplayalisticadiillacmuzik* *AtLiens* *Aquemini* and *Stankonia* together as a whole.. But I will take them both as I get them.. Seeing that is like seeing a unicorn and I’m overly satisfied with just Big Boi.. But man 😩.. And the Houston in me would have loved to see OutKast and UGK go back in time to see them perform *Int’l Players Anthem* But this for me was greatness made me happy for 12 of them thangz 😌
