- I didn't realize how much I missed Ventress until I watched this episode! this was a bit of a longer reaction because I loved this episode so much! thanks for hanging out with me and listening to me yap about Star Wars as always :)

If you look closely, you can see scars all over Ventress’ face from Dooku’s lightning, Star Wars usually doesn’t show lightning scars but I think they intentionally did it there to show that she still died the same way. Also Ventress has her old saber hilt back that the Jedi took from her with her newer crystal from the Black Market, so after she came back she either stole it or Quinlan got them for her or maybe Quinlan buried her in the lake with them. Also would 100% make sense for her to be able to come back to life since she’s such a powerful Nightsister and she was buried in a magical lake inside a Nightsister temple.
Also Omega is definitely force-sensitive because she technically did pass the tests (from a certain point of view, lol)
The first test was balance, Omega couldn’t balance herself physically but she was able to bring balance between the team and diffuse the hostility.
She passed both of the last tests during the second test, she was able to retrieve the flower but she also used her connection with Batcher to help her. I think Ventress knew that Omega formed a connection with Batcher which is why she had her leave Batcher on the island, to see if she could take it further. Why else would she say to Omega that she’s not the one holding back? It sounds like she’s implying that she’s aware Omega is not opening herself up to the Force, I think it’s a similar situation to Sabine. Sabine couldn’t use the Force until she had faith in it, I think Omega can’t use the Force because she’s afraid of having the power.
Seeing Asajj Ventress again was awesome and amazing and I absolutely can't wait to see her in future content, Great video as always Laney keep it up 😀👍🏽😎👍🏽😀
They said in an interview how Ventress survived the events of Dark Disciple will be revealed in future content & Nika Futterman, the voice of her, said her appearance on this show is just an appetizer for what's to come...

Nine lives. I love your reaction videos. These are my predictions: I think we see Cad Bane next episode. He captures Omega and tells the Empire the location of Pabu. They invade Pabu. Omega has her “identity crisis” as she’s now in Hemlock‘s hands and she asks him why she so important. Emerie too has an identity crisis. Then in the next episode in “point of no return,” Emerie sees how maniacal Hemlock is, has a change of heart, because she has sympathy for Omega and makes a decision, and she turns. And there’s no turning back now. She’s crossed the line. She surreptitiously slips location of Tantiss to the bad batch.

every episode im scared for the batch batch as i know they can’t survive too much longer! i am wondering what disney is going to do with omega since i don’t think they will kill of a child but she’s obviously not apart of any of the movies so we will see. thank you for this keep it up!

I think this season of Tales of the Jedi will be about Ventress and Baylon, so I think we’ll see how she got resurrected. Nine Lives

I don't care about how Ventress was revived; it's the mere fact that she was brought back to life that renders her death and the conclusion of the book meaningless. Ventress made a noble decision and sacrificed herself, and she faced the ultimate consequences because she died. By bringing her back to life, those consequences are erased, making her sacrifice noble but shallow. Her sacrifice no longer matters.
(Personally, I see it as robbing a character from the best story)
If you want to show Ventress, show Dak Diciple and don't destroy the meaning of this story...
I just feel cheated that I was even emotionally affected by the events of The Dark Disciple. Now the character is brought back to life. What's the point of experiencing the death of any character if they just get up without any consequences?
Maybe then let Windu, Padme, and others get up too.
Now that I think about it, I asked myself why Ventress?
There were so many other options. Vos, Keleran, Luminara, Barriss, Katooni, Gungi, and even future Inquisitors.
There were plenty of other options; all they had to do was think and try to develop already interesting characters further.
(Of all the characters, Barriss would literally be perfect to replace Ventress in this episode even the interactions with Bad Batch would be very similar)
Instead, we have the laziest move, which is bringing Ventress back to life. And to avoid too much controversy, they deliberately showed her in the trailer.
it’s totally valid that you feel that way as a fan of the novel! i plan on reading it, but im glad, in a way, that i went into this without the personal connection to the novel. as far as why, i feel like that remains to be seen. there has to be a reason they chose to bring back ventress, but i think they’re saving that for future projects. thank you for sharing your thoughts!
@@laneybyers Ideas to resurrect Ventress already existed, and that's Filoni's idea. Generally, there are two reasons here:
1. Filoni, due to Disney's decision to stop the production of Clone Wars, couldn't finish Ventress's story. (So Dark Disciple became a book instead of an animation.)
2. Filoni doesn't consider books as canon, or to put it better, he considers TV series as a more important canon. And he has already shown this withno respect to other books.
Here the worst decision was made because a popular book was considered canon but it no longer matters. Decanonization would have been a better move than this because this is already no respect for the book.
The creature is a Vrathean, and Ventress is being a little unambiguous with her assessment of Omegas abilities, but I do feel that Omega will gain a better understanding of what she is capable of by herself. One thing we know about Omega is that she's a very determined character who will want to gain more knowledge of what the force actually is. I'm pretty sure we will see her again before the end of the series and Omega will leave with her to start her training.
Love your positivity with so many haters out there, just disliking stuff for the hell of it. Ventress is a fantastic character and It's great to see her back and the change in her from when we last saw her in the Clone Wars, she is still a bit acerbic but trying to do good not evil is a side that we haven't seen from her.

@@laneybyers I understand why you would feel that way, but I think it's inevitable if she is to reach her full potential. I hope we don't lose all of the BB, but I fear some will die, taking on the Empire means some will sacrifice themselves for Omega and their brothers.

Somebody has 9 lives. ... Maybe you edited it out, but at one point Venttiss said "mediclorian" and I fully expected you to point at the screen and yell " she said THE word!" I'm also curious, being a gamer, are you looking forward to the Fallout Television series at all? Or Are you exclusively Star Wars?
