My immediate assumption is that Ventress will have a few episodes centered around her in season 2 of Tales of the Jedi, since she started as a Jedi as a child.

I really like how Ventress's Journey through Clone Wars kinda mirrored Anakin's. But while Anakin fell to the dark side in the end, Ventress managed to free herself from it's grasp and live for herself and not to service some master. Really curious to see how it ends, hope Omega gets to stay with the Batch, while also receiving the training she needs (if she is indeed force sensitive).
Loved the fight between the Bad Batch and Ventress. They made Ventress basically mop the floor with them but despite that also made the batch look really cool at the same time somehow. Really nice.
It could be like an Obi-Wan scenario, where she's not inherently force sensitive. Obi barely had a high enough of an mcount to even be accepted into the order as a youngling. It was only through his dedication and focus that he became as a in tune with the force as he did. And Sabine is a good example of anybody can be it's just you need to actually try/be trained. I feel like a lot of people overlook that with Obi-Wan whenever new characters wind up being force sensitive. That's just my opinion though :)

I would absolutely fucking love a series following Asajj Ventress helping Omega get to safety after the finale of this series and maybe Omega becomes her apprentice. In that series that could maybe do some flashbacks to the Clone Wars when she was training with Dooku or something and then meeting Quinlan Vos for the first time.
It really wasn't Ventress's fault near the end as it just so happened that her Force Connecting Summoning-Call for the school of Bio-luminescent stingrays made it easier for the sea monster leviathan Vrathean to summon up/show up & have its next meal as they were bundled up & circled in place for it to eat them
Am I the only one who thinks ventress pulled a Shrek blue flowers with red thorns moment and told omega to get that flower cuz she knew shit was gonna hit the fan.
This also kinda shows how the Jedi made way more use of their lightsaber than necessary, they could've chosen to take their foes down with hand combat many times, but immediately chose to ignite their sabers instead.
Ventress wasn't lying. She probably is saving high M-count people, knows Omega isn't Force sensitive but can't figure out why the Empire is still after her (project necromancer) yet.
The point this episode is driving is that what's special about Omega isn't Force sensitivity. That's irrelevant. The point is that she's special enough Force-related for the Emperor's purposes.
Right. It's midiclorian compatibility. Palpatine wants a clone that can take a midiclorian boost without rejecting it. Omega is the clone they can study to learn how to make a midiclorian tolerant clone for Palpatine.
This. Ventress doesn't know exactly what Palpatine wants, so she is just testing Omega's force capability, but that isn't exactly the reason that Palpatine wants a high M-count, they are working under the wrong assumption there, they would know more if they knew the experiments.
Also I just think it's funny that both Cal and Quinlan are psychometric Jedi who fall in love with Nightsisters and end up helping out with the Path, lol. (And man I so desperately want to see Jedi Fallen Order stuff brought in to live action...ESPECIALLY now that we have live action Nightsisters ready to come back to Dathomir...). If Ventress is currently involved in the Path, that means technically she could be contemporary with Cere and that's a connection to Merrin (although I'm guessing for security reasons they don't actually know all the others involved).
There was a comic series where Ventress was apparently killed. However, she went into a force healing trance until she could revive. Perhaps she did the same when she was hit by Dooku's lightning. Obi-Wan and Vos put her in stasis for 4 months, then buried her in her home waters. These are magical and healing, so perhaps she was able to revive again. This would explain her lives comment. 😉
Seeing Ventress is a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one as she still does bounty hunting post order 66, and her hand to hand combat style is wing chun like as it is great to see force users fight hand to hand.
Oh it is so good to see Asaj Ventress back! Her character arc has just been fantastic!! I wish this episode was a bit longer, but overall was really good. That fight scene was flipping awesome and that shot of her calming down the monster was beautiful! Hope to see more Ventress soon!
I think the episode is fine, definitely short, but if anything, I'm glad we still don't definitely know why the Empire wants Omega. I'm still betting on her having a universal blood type that allows for the transfusion of m-count rather than having the potential to become a force wielder.
While I would’ve liked more answers on how they brought her back without decanonizing Dark Disciple, I was content with how she was brought back because everything we’ve seen and heard of Ventress in this episode implies Dark Disiciple is still canon. And the new interview with Jennifer Corbett, Brad Rau, and Nika Futterman on the official Star Wars website said the questions over how she survived death and how Dark Disciple will still be canon will be addressed in future on-screen stories. So I’ll be patient.
No and I don't care about how she was revived; it's the mere fact that she was brought back to life that renders her death and the conclusion of the book meaningless. Ventress made a noble decision and sacrificed herself, and she faced the ultimate consequences because she died. By bringing her back to life, those consequences are erased, making her sacrifice noble but shallow. Her sacrifice no longer matters. (Personally, I see it as robbing a character from the best story) I just feel cheated that I was even emotionally affected by the events of The Dark Disciple. Now the character is brought back to life. What's the point of experiencing the death of any character if they just get up without any consequences? Maybe then let Windu, Padme, and others get up too.
I really loved this episode. I thought that they did a really great job in just about every aspect of this episode. There were just so many amazing, interesting and entertaining scenes and moments throughout this episode. Again, the voice acting was perfect, I feel like all the voice actors were giving an amazing performance and through their deliveries they felt like they were fully dedicate and invested to their character and their roles. I thought that the writing was really fantastic and the animation was incredible and was able to perfectly capture the tone and atmosphere of whatever it was trying to portray. And the music for this episode was really great, I’m so glad that they brought the Kiners back to do this shows score, I can’t wait to hear more of the music they have composed for this season. I loved Ventress in this episode. Not only was it amazing to get to see her on screen again for the first time in like 11 years, but I think she was utilized perfectly. I think it was really great and very interesting to get to see her at this point in her story. I thought it was really cool to see her being this neutral type figure and I really enjoyed getting to see her be more tapped into the Light Side here. I really enjoyed the interactions between Omega and Ventress, I thought they had a very interesting dynamic that reminded me a lot of Luke and Yoda from Empire Strikes Back. I also really like getting to see this more wise and calm Ventress who is more in tune with the Light Side and more capable and willing to be a teacher. Again, reminding me a lot of Yoda from Empire Strikes Back. I loved the fight scene between Ventress and the rest of the Bad Batch. I thought the choreography was really great and it was really cool to see them start out by going hand to hand against each other but but then as the fight progressed, they started to use their weapons, including Ventress pulling out her new Yellow Lightsaber. I will say, though there were certain parts during this fight where the footage looked oddly sped up, I don’t know what that was about, but other than that I still thought this fight scene was all around pretty cool. Also, this is just a small thing, but I really loved all the creature designs in this episode. I know they weren’t that important to this episodes plot, but I just really liked the look of that giant shelled, Squid creature and those glowing Stingray looking creatures. I’m still really interested in getting to see more from Omega and her M-Count. With the way Ventress was initially trying to cover it up it makes me wonder just how much of it Omega actually has. And with Ventress saying that Omega’s M-Count will make her even more of a target it makes me wonder for how much longer the Batch will be safe on Pabu before the Empire possibly shows up. It was just so awesome to get to see Ventress again in this episode, I can’t wait to see her possibly return at some point in the remainder of this show, or possibly in some upcoming show in the future, either way, I am really excited to see where her story goes from here. I can’t wait to see where the ending of this episode will lead into next week’s episode and how it will impact the future of this show and its continuing story. I am still really loving everything about this show and I can’t wait to see the rest of the season and where all the characters and this story and will go next. I absolutely cannot wait for next week’s episode, I am so excited!
In a way, I wonder if Omega is using the force. She just tells Batcher where she wants to go and she takes her there. Is she that smsrt? Or is there a force connection?
I thoroughly enjoy having Michael on. As someone who tries to keep up with Star Wars lore as much as I can, it’s nice to have someone who has said is not an expert but is very knowledgeable to at least fill in fans like me on topics that can easily be grazed over like the relationship between Ventress and Vos.
They thought of bringing her back in the resistance tv show and to duel kylo so they’ve been wanting to bring her back for awhile it wasn’t just a split decision when making Bad Batch. I’m hoping with the future content for her character somehow allows her to live through the OT and to make it to Ahsoka season 2 I really wanna see how Ventress would feel about the nightsisters coming back because of Thrawn. Although that would make a huge plot point of Jedi Fallen Order because Merrin says she’s the last left alive
Every weeks thumbnail spoils an aspect of the show for me. Yes in hindsight, people have told me it was in the trailer but I never watch trailers for that exact reason😂 wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t uploaded before I can even load up D+
To be fair, this episode isn't really the place to explain why she's still alive. No one here knows that she died and she's not about to divulge her whole life's story to a bunch of clones she just met.
What a great episode of Bad Batch. With Asajj back, my headcanon theory that Shin Hati is the love child of Ventress and Quinlan Vos can actually be true. If she ever appears in live-action, which she should, here are my casting prospects for an older Asajj Ventress: - Cate Blanchett - Uma Thurman - Angelina Jolie For a younger Asajj: - Evan Rachel Wood - Cara Delevingne - Margot Robbie (not realistic but had to mention) - Lauren Cohan (Maggie of TWD) - Anya Taylor-Joy (Queen's Gambit. My top choice for Ventress) - Sadie Sink (Max of Stranger Things) - Scarlette Johanson (not realistic but had to mention) - Bryce Dallas Howard (can also play older) - Anne Hathaway (unrealistic unless they made her the lead of her own series or movie. She'd crush it either way)
Honestly it never even occurred to me from the start that midicholorians conflicted with the previous Force lore. I can totally see them as some kind of entity that maybe is attracted to the Force, and so is a proxy for measuring your sensitivity, but it doesn't take the place of actual training, discipline, philosophy, etc. Even if midichlorians are how we communicate with the Force or have some Force conduit affect, it still doesn't explain what the Force IS. For what it's worth, I used to be a microbiologist so it didn't really phase me at all. Likewise, all living things have the Force and can maybe even commune with it, but that's different from being skilled in wielding it. I could see Omega perhaps being on a Chirrut level - clearly seems to have some deeper/sense and intuition, but maybe not the same amount of latent ability. Perhaps with a ton of meditation/training they could tap into it (and maybe even draw it to themselves?) more.
I think Omega summoned the vratheon. Ventress told her to reach out to everything. Ventress only summoned the jelly-fish. She even said she didn't intentionally summon the vratheon.

They were surprised in their reaction and I would have liked to have been surprised as well. I thoroughly enjoy having Michael on. As someone who tries to keep up with Star Wars lore as much as I can, it’s nice to have someone who has said is not an expert but is very knowledgeable to at least fill in fans like me on topics that can easily be grazed over like the relationship between Ventress and Vos.
They thought of bringing her back in the resistance tv show and to duel kylo so they’ve been wanting to bring her back for awhile it wasn’t just a split decision when making Bad Batch. I’m hoping with the future content for her character somehow allows her to live through the OT and to make it to Ahsoka season 2 I really wanna see how Ventress would feel about the nightsisters coming back because of Thrawn. Although that would make a huge plot point of Jedi Fallen Order because Merrin says she’s the last left alive

What a great episode of Bad Batch. With Asajj back, my headcanon theory that Shin Hati is the love child of Ventress and Quinlan Vos can actually be true.

Honestly it never even occurred to me from the start that midicholorians conflicted with the previous Force lore. I can totally see them as some kind of entity that maybe is attracted to the Force, and so is a proxy for measuring your sensitivity, but it doesn't take the place of actual training, discipline, philosophy, etc. Even if midichlorians are how we communicate with the Force or have some Force conduit affect, it still doesn't explain what the Force IS. For what it's worth, I used to be a microbiologist so it didn't really phase me at all.
Likewise, all living things have the Force and can maybe even commune with it, but that's different from being skilled in wielding it. I could see Omega perhaps being on a Chirrut level - clearly seems to have some deeper/sense and intuition, but maybe not the same amount of latent ability. Perhaps with a ton of meditation/training they could tap into it (and maybe even draw it to themselves?) more.
I always said Tales of a Jedi S2, should be what happened to Ventress and what happened to Maul.
I think Omega summoned the vratheon. Ventress told her to reach out to everything. Ventress only summoned the jelly-fish. She even said she didn't intentionally summon the vratheon.
I feel like Michael every time I watch Star Wars with friends, I drop some knowledge then Greg comes in like “yea? I’m unamused” lol
