- The new 42-inch-tall pipe barrier - which the State Department has not yet named - is made of steel and concrete materials readily available in countries around the world. It spans 15 feet long and is anchored into a shallow concrete foundation 18 inches thick. The weight of the whole system is about 50,000 pounds.
The test was considered a success because the bed of the truck and its cargo were prevented from passing the barrier.

Legend has it the hood still going!
Awesome! Do this with an Abrams tank next!
Now that's a lot of damage
It'll buff out. 2024 price adjusted for inflation, 35k, slightly used.
Was wondering where the engine went. Saw it at the end.
It didn't look to me like there was an engine it. They engine wouldn't have been crushed like a can it would have pushed into the cab before the barrier.
You are right
If you watch closely when they show the slow speed front view you actually see the engine gets pushed down and back. You can actually see the engine block dropping out the bottom. You do have to look close and know what you're looking at and for but it is there.
No problem, a little duct tape and some bondo, good as new.
Whew! Saved the cargo. Good job! 👍
Definitely a fatal
My very first thought too.
Now try it with a full engine and transmission in it
What about the Fiberglass Semis ? You strike anything above that bumper in the front you’re in a big nothing.
Well at least the cargo survived
If it had an engine in it, it wouldn’t be so disastrous.
Great Video
Goood Job! Very impressive!
But what use is something that just sits there like a solid barrier? It's not retractable.
How to remove an engine in two seconds.
Не хотел бы я быть водителем на таких успешных испытаниях.
Slightly used, one owner. No low balling, I know what I got
Круто
😂😂😂😂😂🎉
Best video but not amazing
Holy shit, the body isnt a solid steel box?
Who knew?
God damn what a waste of time and money.
The result is obvious to anybody with the knowledge of basic physics.
If it's so obvious, why bother commenting?
@@codymoe4986 If the room is obviously on fire, and nobody knows, should you let them die?
Preferred they used a prostars or 9400i
