Your book reviews are the best! They are so very thorough! And they make me want to purchase all the books you show. This one seems wonderful. I like the hyperrealism, although I do not like to paint like that myself. Hyperrealism fascinates me greatly. Thank you for your wonderful video! : )
Thank you for this review Alyona. I am currently thinking of subscribing for Anna's on line course and so to see you do this book review was great. I tend to look on your channel if there is something I am looking to purchase as you have often done a very thorough review. So thank yo for this.
I have done a few in a sketchbook, smaller, A5 and A4 and it is very interesting, technical and tight. I got some lovely results. I am exploring her methods and more loose ones.
EDIT: Kept calling the brushes shorts, but they're called spotters. Sheesh. Sorry about that! She uses brushes that are called spotters rather than the normal rounds :) that is why the belly is shorter. She rarely does large washes, and since there are usually several layers, she's not concerned with totally smooth and flat washes--the layers and dry brushing smooth out and blend as time goes on with the painting. Anna reminds me of Rosie Sanders in many ways (though Rosie works MUCH larger). I will say that this book was nice in that it has other subjects than just flowers. The first book she wrote features just plant life.

As I've known you here: You "always" resonate to books, whilst the knowledge, but, you have "never" succeeded in "creating" them!!! I know, it's difficult, 'coz we only follow our "styles", but then, to following lessons is there in front of us, not?!

I'm blown away that she is self taught! Amazing.
