Just found your channel after a post on E46 Owners, as the owner of a Carbonschwarz over Cinnamon '06 M3 Vert...seems like that's the cool car to have now. haha Love it! Can't wait to see your post purchase video!
Great video Rob. New sub here from the UK currently looking for an E46 m3 project myself. I hadn’t considered the convertible….that colour combo is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing it progress. Thanks!
I recognize that cluster issue, if it was the ignition switch it wouldnt start. like u said the cluster needs to be resoldered, the good news is its usually one specific electrical track that you can just bypass by soldering a wire in from its point a to its point B.
Great video. Here are my thoughts…1) black over cinnamon is killer 2) parted out, that car will bring in roughly 10k 3) it’s a fun car to drive 4) would make an amazing project series. 5) I doubt you lose money if you fix, drive through the summer and flip. 6) I can’t believe it’s still on stock suspension. German engineering!
Yah I think is a great project and will be a blast to cruise and enjoy. I have a 330ci with 246k miles that still has stock suspension. Its floaty AF tho haha
Definitely scoop it for $10k based upon your inspection fix it and enjoy it before someone else finds this Seller, Lol. The motor and tranny are worth that if this were a crashed car, nevermind the rear subframe assembly, etc. This car is worth $10k all day long, even with no big 3 and original suspension, etc. Outside of the Catalytic Converter, Brake Booster, Cluster and Front Bumper cosmetics, which could possibly be fixed alternatively for another, say, $2k, I'd still personally have my wallet ready for $2-3k to do the rod bearings and bulletproof vanos myself (more if a reputable Indy Shop was doing) and another $2k-$3k for a decent PSS10 or Ohlins suspension (parts only, no labor) and another $600+ proper paint correction, full detail and I would not care that I've got way more invested in what most would be willing to pay for this car with that maintenance history ($14k-$18k). Interested to see what you do, Rob! 😉
Great info! I’m much more in tune with what product to use on non-m’s so this is helpful for the suspension stuff. Def seems like a great starting point for an enjoyable ride.
I'm the guy in California that fixed the cluster :D
Much appreciate all the help! I’ve pinned your comment in case others need your help.
"should I buy this?" Is that even a question?????
Go for it Rob, she is stunning, what a combo!!!!!

10k is a buy for clean 1 owner E46. Buy it and you just earned a subscriber
It’s not a one owner but I think it’s still a good buy and a great project. The broken ones are the best.
Congratulations on your real man purchase!
Most of us are proud of you :D
😂😂Good one. But definitely a good buy.
Nice color combo. Looking forward to more content on the Hellrot red vert. Hope you hit a 1000 subs soon.
Filming the next vid tomorrow!

Was a great looking car in person and it did well around the AutoX course
That's a buy for sure. It will be a blast to drive.
Cinnamon interior is my favorite 😍 Great color combo and a 6 speed. I’d get it.
Price seems pretty good and if you have the funds, you can't go wrong. Plus, you know the history since its your neighbors car.
I haven’t watched the video yet, but of course you should buy it!
The only correct answer!
Love the color combo
Looks like it’d be a pretty nice clean project.

I swapped a good known cluster in and it works fine. Def a burnt trace on the cluster. Likely when the owner put a new battery in

In this condition, this M3 would fetch 25K here in Norway!
It will break your hear before it makes you happy. But you'll be more happier owning it than not, so go ahead and buy it..
Yes, but only if your going
To keep it.
