Always been a fan of these guys. They work for manning the STUN, or any other Cobra ground vehicle. Plus, the Motor Viper holds a special place in my heart for being part of my first childhood Joe custom - Footloose's head, Taurus' torso and arms, and the Motor Viper's waist and legs. It was...a glorious eyesore.
Some G.I. Joe Figures, that were released with Vehicles, needed to be released as a set of 3 or 5 figures pact. I always luved the look of the Motor Viper, Cobra Stinger Driver, HISS Tank Driver, and the Cobra Terror Drome Firebase pilots. I was the one, who, had the Motor Viper, and gave him a bazooka, and called him my Cobra bazooka solider, since, at the time, Cobra, didn't have a machine gunner, mortar, nor bazooka soldiers.
So yes, LUVED the Motor Viper and gave it an expanded show.
Side Note. I had a couple Cobra Stinger Drivers, and I think, on their figure card, they were the rank of O-3/Captain. So I always used them as an officer. Above the Cobra Officer, but below, Cobra Commander, Destrol, but equal to the Baroness, Major Bludd, Tomax and Xamot. I didn't care for Zartan, his Dreadnok's, nor Dr Mindbender, so I never tried to collect any of those.
Ah, the Motor-Viper. He was basically the Cobra version of The Stig from Top Gear.
As a kid I had most of the 86 vehicle releases. However, the Stun was one that I never had, so I didn't have any of these guys growing up. I still don't really even like the Stun, and they are very difficult to find complete and unbroken. Now I have 7 of the early 2000's Cobra Ringneck vehicles & the Motor Vipers are perfect crews for them. I have about 15 now, and I'll probably end up picking up a few more nice examples.
Cool video! Thank you!
Never had this guy, but I really want Hasbro to re-issue the STUN, with three 25th-Anniversary-style Motor Vipers.
I never had the Cobra Stone always wanted it but I had maybe one or two at the drivers I think
I liked their color scheme, and the two guns moved on their sides. But disliked the helmet
