The Mad Monsters Horrible Mummy action figure Mego 1974
I can definitely confirm that Eagle Force came out a few months before GI Joe ARAH.
I guess I'm in the minority because I never really liked this issue, and not because of the lack of text either. I just always hated how weak they made Storm Shadow in his debut. It never sat well with me how easily he got manhandled by Scarlett and then had a terribly feeble performance against Snake Eyes. I mean, we had seen basic Cobra infantry troopers in previous issues put up better fights than Storm Shadow did. Sorry, but for me, this issue was very disappointing.
Some G.I. Joe Figures, that were released with Vehicles, needed to be released as a set of 3 or 5 figures pact. I always luved the look of the Motor Viper, Cobra Stinger Driver, HISS Tank Driver, and the Cobra Terror Drome Firebase pilots. I was the one, who, had the Motor Viper, and gave him a bazooka, and called him my Cobra bazooka solider, since, at the time, Cobra, didn't have a machine gunner, mortar, nor bazooka soldiers. So yes, LUVED the Motor Viper and gave it an expanded show. Side Note. I had a couple Cobra Stinger Drivers, and I think, on their figure card, they were the rank of O-3/Captain. So I always used them as an officer. Above the Cobra Officer, but below, Cobra Commander, Destrol, but equal to the Baroness, Major Bludd, Tomax and Xamot. I didn't care for Zartan, his Dreadnok's, nor Dr Mindbender, so I never tried to collect any of those.
I bought Draego-Man last year, as a loose figure with the three flaming accessories. I wasn’t interested in the non-flaming sword. I never knew before watching this video that the flames could be removed from the shield 😅
I did the mail ins for Cobra Commander, Duke, & The reinforcements from Cybertron. All forced into the landfill by parents that lacked vision.😞
The original Copperhead was a Cobra trooper. He died in issue #7 when he got lit up by the twin .50 cal mounted on Clutch's VAMP.
He was the last Joe i bought as a kid also i was living in a place where it snowed so i have fond memories of that figure.
I only became a fan of MOTU a few years ago when I randomly decided to watch Revelation on Netflix. Loved it. Since then I’ve been collecting a little bit of Origins and Masterverse. I recently decided I needed to narrow my field of collecting so decided to stick with Masterverse New Eternia figures and, now, several of the 200X figures. I honestly think the 200X designs are my favorite.
This was my last wave too, i turned 14 in September of 89.
Se puede cambiar el brazo?
Snow-Joes! :) ☕ My favorites.
I’m assuming we’re about the same age because this was around the time I stopped collecting gi Joe. I didn’t like that they started getting bright colors and the same vehicles were being rereleased with stupid color schemes.
how many bespin han solo do you have?
Blizzard is my favorite Joe figure released in 1988.
5:13 Yellow snow? 😂. Sorry, I’ll see myself out. But before I go, your photography is superb as usual
Blizzard was my first Joe figure followed by Muskrat
You have to have one. Never thought of him ever as a specific pilot for the flight pod.
Blizzard was one of the last figures I got before I stopped collecting but he’s one of the best and one of my favorites. So many accessories.
Oh man I had that. I was also thinking how come we never had any snow pilots/Arctic Pilots.
The 1988 line-up were in that sort of limbo between the Sunbow and DiC cartoon series so weren't featured in any cartoons. I had Blizzard. I think it didn't occur to me that he had limited use until after I had bought him. I think i was lured in by the amount of crap he came with.
Cool snow figure in the snow and great presentation. Cool card art too. That sled ski set up is nice.
I don't remember having this figure, but I definitely remember the ice crampons and backpack/sled. I certainly could have my memories of that time being obliterated by puberty.
Excellent episode. I also was a fan of winter figures.
Stalker V2 is actually a Tundra Ranger. i liked Blizzard because of his accessories and having a similar real name for me🤣🤣🤣
Didn't know this line existed till recently
Hit and runs knife 🔪 was way too large I hated that
This video just nails it for me. Totally agree with they should look like the military more.
Airborne was always one of my favorites. Oddly enough, I always put the backpack on upside down from the way you had it. He really did have the best gun.
Growing up, Firestorm was one of my favorite figures. The detail and paint job were awesome!!
Did the bespin han come with a breathing mask ? he uses inside the asteroid
Twiki is the one that matters.
I liked Dengar because he could float in the pool.
Spearhead is one of my few original Joes who survived my childhood, I continued to collect even into my enlistment in the U.S. Air Force in the early 90's and no longer played with my joes " outside" As a Point Man Spearhead would be yards ahead of his platoon, clearing a path for them to safely travel. The knife / Machete which is one of my favorites in the line would clear that path for his brothers, When you are that far ahead you also want some major firepower and I look at GI Joe as testing some experimental weapons like Repeater's Steady cam Machine gun or Heavy Duty's man portable weapon system and Rock N roll's dual twin barrel gatling guns. While illustrated in brown shades , the brighter shade of orange would keep him in visual contact in combat . they purposely colored the desert troopers a little different from each other so kids could tell the difference between Dusty Spearhead and Versions 3 & 4 Duke.
Getting bored to see TH-camrs moving armas and legs of figures, If I had so many figures I would be staging battles, confronting armies, pitching old enemies against each bother, comparing powers between nemesis, etc 🥱
When I heard the name 'Airtight', I really though it would be a hot female Joe.......
I replace the shotgun with the M16 / 203 grenade launcher. Is uniform is the Vietnam era vintage tiger stripe camouflage pattern that was worn by MAC-V SOG US army military advisors. So his uniform is actually period accurate for the Vietnam era.
Lieutenant Falcon and Footloose were two of my favorites. And still are to this day. I appreciate the accuracy of the uniforms on those two figures.
Spirit's uniform shirt is based on the U.S. Cavalry of the 19th century he resembles Indian scouts that were occasionally allies with Cavalry forts .Gi Joe isn't a traditional military unit. Look at some of the outlandish uniforms and all of those bearded members.
I have 2 Night Vipers still from my childhood collection They were among my 5 favorite later cobra troopers along with the Range Rock Saw and Alley Vipers . The weapon they carried is a sawed off shotgun with a flashlight attached. the sling proved useful after the pegs broke off of one of my Night Viper's leg. Gi Joe also produced 2 in the 50th Anniversary collection 1 is classic green and black the other is red and black.
My cousin had the construction and their names were Bernie in the brown shirt and Frank in the white shirt.
I don't think its a stretch to say snaggletooth had the same outfit in blue hahaha. That's his clubbing outfit. Pulls all the female aliens with those shiny boots.
Cobra ninja! Firefly! My favotites
0:26. Who's the fish guy?
Thats the ovion from mattel battlestar galactica
They resold him earlier this morning and i managed to get one! He sold out in literal minutes. I only collect necros and started on this line well after so ive been waiting for this one as a rerelease. He just looks so metal.
❤Los amaba
He looks like flint.
they were jawa stock droids , i was born in el paso texas . sand everywhere . tatooine was easy back drop . sand people , moisture farms & cantinas , glory . pretty sad how things ended up here .
I have 2 OG gi joe classified Trouble Bubbles with Tele Viper and 1 Python Patrol Trouble Bubble with P.P. Tele Viper
Viper was my favorite figure cobra or joe.
This was my first MOTU figure.
