@John Doe You forgot to mention the Crack epidemic that the CIA funneled the drugs to low income communities i.e. Black, to fund that BS Iran Contra War.🤪
Wow I remember these commercials when I was in elementary/ junior highschool. I also still own a good handful of those vehicles and figures which I used my summer job money on. The USS Flag I regret selling it in 2008 when my son was born. Sold it on eBay for $475 back then to get his crib/ combination toddler bed.
In your case The U.S.S FLAG completed one last mission in serving the needs of newly born citizen of the United States Of America. :::::: Music from the movie Patton playing in the background ::::::
@@zuludawn9932 Agreed. The USS Flag achieved one final mission to insure the needs of a newly born American citizen. The USS Flag in the GI-JOE universe fights for America's people so the toy version of it sacrificed itself to aid one of America's newest citizens.
When Sgt. Slaughter joined G.I. Joe, it was like going to heaven! I used to cheer for Sgt. Slaughter when he wrestled. I would especially cheer for him, when he wrestled against Nikolai Volkoff.
You know I still can't get over how the Cobra Raven strangely looks just like the SR-71 Blackbird of the U.S. Air Force minus that little jet on the planes back.
I saw someone doing some restoration work on the carrier. I couldn't believe much the US flag carrier was a beast. when I mean beast. I mean, it was a massive toy. I was like, how in the hell did that thing manage to be sold?
The hall of fame dolls were back on their roots as it seems since G.I.joes were 1/6 back in the old war days! 😉 I remember my self in 12 be in the market with my grandmother for shopping, and we saw this doll like joe knock off with different clothes to change him etc,and because my parent saw me look at is she asked me if i wanted to get it.I refused because i didn't wanted someone on the neighborhood to tell me that i was playing with dolls! 😆
Just subscribed! Amazing collection of vintage commercials! Is it possible to get a copy of the Slaughters Marauders commercial to upload onto the Sgt Slaughters Slaughterhouse channel? Full credit and link to you naturally
The U.S.S. FLAGG mint condition factory sealed in box can fetch up to ten Gs at auction. When they were new they cost about 100.00 How do I know? i remember seeing it for sale at Toys r Us. Makes me sick to think about it!
High quality clips. And even before his inclusion into G.I. Joe universe, Sgt. Slaughter's signature move was "the Cobra Clutch." However, you are missing the Dreadnoks Thunder machine commericals.
3 years later Slaughter joined the Iraqi party briefly after the end of the War in the Gulf and that storyline totally blows my mind🔥In a good way though 👍
I loses all my GiJoe from house fire now I am starting my collection back… and I wish the toys they have out to be like we had back then … because Duke now has is mouth wide open hasbro needs to restart the toy line like it was back then
This brings back happy memories when things were less hectic and chaotic. 💚 the 80's!
It was such a wonderful time to be a kid.
Things did seem more clear cut back then.
And as my U.S. History teacher put it, "the Cold War made it clear which side you were on."
Best times as a young kid. Love to time travel back to then again

Wow, I forgot how big that carrier was lol!!😅 Happy times....
it would second as a guest bed when we had sleep overs
Bruh.. it wasn't THAT big. Those kids are just on a bluescreen stage and optically added to the toy in post.
@@niles6159 it's 7 1/2 feet long and almost 3 feet wide.
I love watching the old commercials take my back when I was a kid growing up in the 80s. ❤

these kids are missing out simple fun times back in the 80s-late 90s
You know I still can't get over how the Cobra Raven strangely looks just like the SR-71 Blackbird of the U.S. Air Force minus that little jet on the planes back.
Cobra had crazy resources, they even had a health spa and insurance for their troops. 🤣

Jeeeezus the USS Flagg! It's the size of a dinning room table!
That Raven song is soo dopey 🤣

Rich kids man... The rich kids got that carrier
those nice paint jobs on the figures in the opening commercial always made me want THOSE ones. no. THOSE, mom.

The U.S.S. Flagg is a fucking coffee table. Damn. I didn't know any kid who had it.
Were those Cobra soldiers playing.. volleyball?? Damn I must have missed that episode.

Wow.i still want the check point.
So happy you didnt blur the kids faces out. I dont why someone did that on another video. its crazy
can you imagine being a little one that loved gijoe? then you're making a joe commercial?
Thats my story. Loved GIJoe since my first 12" figure age 5, 1972. Twenty years later started at Hasbro, eventually making commercials.

His signature move was especially awesome when he would use it against Nikolai Volkoff or the Iron Shiek. I would cheer so loud, haha.

@@TheStandardBearer Funny you mention that; the Iron Sheik had the "Camel Clutch" to face off against Slaughter.
He didn't feature ALL the commercials by choice, this was just a small showcase of the history of these commercials.

You have to wonder what those kids went through in the two decades afterwards.
The 80s and 90s were amazing. We had the best childhood.
