I recently reconsidered how much storage I need in my small apartment when I styled it to sell it. The broker insisted that I needed a couch where there was a storage unit and when I switched it out it made me act completely different in my own space. All of a sudden I wanted to invite people over or sit and read at the sofa. How you decorate really influence your behaviour and habits. So you kind of have to ask yourself: how do I strive to use this space? As a social hub or more so a private haven? It’s hard when you live small to de-clutter but I’ve found it necessary to do regularly. And I’ve realized that too much storage has been prioritized which impedes the social possibilities of my space!

Definitely! We should design our spaces to our needs and not only for the looks.

First things first : your hair looks perfect, i mean that very tiny bob : gorgeous.
I liked your review, i realises the importance of liking things you wouldn’t put in your home and how you can appreciate it in other poeple’s homes. Also, for your storage problem, I feel like your sewing stuffs are important and they need a proper storage, I mean you wouldn’t throw them away.. it is not you being cluttered, those are important tools ! I am into metal drawers and i’” trying to find a vintage but good conditioned one for my fabrics and stuff. If you care about those objects and loved them and accumulated them with love, you can allow yourself a proper storage, I don’t believe in decluttering too much :)

🤭 you make me blush! Thank you so much! 💕 Yea! I think this is so important! I feel it’s more important that a home shows personality rather than trends. And yeaa, I should really give those things some pretty storage, because as you say, it’s stuff I love and that makes sense for me to keep. Thanks love!

I think clear first, then store your treasures. Alternatively, you could quote Australian artist Margaret Olley "If the house looks dirty, buy another bunch of flowers is my advice".
