I'm a prepper because... I learn from my mistakes. I think of tomorrows' problems. I consider fate, and make ready more options than my neighbour. I live the way I mean to carry on. The gifts I give are useful AND only sometimes fun. I'm a prepper, because I'm worth it!
Great video as always. I completely agree that it doesn't make people less of a 'prepper', if they don't have the bunker etc. We don't have it all but are building skills and the self sufficiency side of it.
Whatever one's thoughts on the pandemic are, it's a situation we found ourselves in that most were not expecting, or prepared for. I learned from that period and now consider myself a prepper. Expect the unexpected.
A wise Irishman not long ago said, “Don’t get drawn into someone else’s abyss.” Life is short and you must be kind and try and face towards the joy, kippers and all!
Awesome video again Steve, very relatable, we can only prep for what we think is important and what we can afford to do TBH. The basics are important for sure. You never know what's around the corner..
Prepping question: What would you miss if it suddenly became unobtainable? Bread? Learn how to make it. Begin with flat breads,.. flour and water. Add a few natural flavourings or seasonings, garlic, herbs 'n' spices, dried fruits... Progress to yeasted bread or sour dough bread. Bog roll? No explanation required. Garlic? Grow your own. Buy bulbs from a garden centre or use shop bought bulbs (preferably organic) Lighting? Heating? Water? Transport? Medical? i would recommend buying seeds, from lettuce and tomato to cabbages and beans, and find a few good gardening channels. Whatever you would miss, get the seeds. Remember that rainy day we all save for? Now might be a good time to expect a bit of a storm. and if you have elderly neighbours, please keep them in your thoughts and give them a reminder of how neighbours used to look out for each other. Love and Blessings to one and all.
Great vid Steve, you're a natural 😁 I love a bit of stargazing, feel free to throw some clear night skies into any future vids, maybe that's tarp supper club sorted now lol. Is there going to be a chestnuts roasting on an open fire edition? (ses she who's never cooked a chestnut in her life) 🌰
What will be will be so don't stress it. I prep for my Family 4 married sons and 9 grand kids. If my Prepping helps them during a national disaster, then its worth it. So lets prep for others to show our humanity in time of need :)
Great Video as always! i believe if you have any kind of safety net for a "just in case" scenario you are a prepper of some kind. whether you keep a few plasters in your car to full on doomsday prepping i think it makes you a prepper. p.s. hope your car doesn't smell of kipper for too long
For smelly hands, fish, garlic, et cetera, wash hands with stainless steel. i bought a stainless steel hand cleaner some years ago. It's simply a block of SS shaped like a cake of soap. Wash hands with water and SS soap. It works on garlic hands. not sure about kippers.
Thanks for the confirmation Steve@@everydayprepperi was half expecting to be virtually sectioned. Shame about the kipper smell. How about bicarbonate of soda as a de-smeller?
Bicarb is a deodorizer Steve@@everydayprepperi use it as an underarm and body deodorizer instead of the mass-chemical, scented/unscented types. Maybe try it with a splash of lemon. Bicarbonate of soda (NOT baking soda in the UK) is a prepping must have. White vinegar is another must have. They have some amazing attributes, used either together or separately.
The world is a horrible place ruled by unscrupulous people. I've been on many an anti govt march, written to political leaders, signed petitions, campaigned but sadly nothing changes our voices go unheard. The powers that be are going to do what they're going to do because it benefits them. Prepping is an individual thing. You may not need all the stuff that is sold to preppers in any given situation. I live 50 miles from Sellafield and govt tell us all we need to do is go indoors, shut the windows, put the radio on and crack open a tin of beans!
ITS YOUR MIND SET THAT MAKES YOU PREPPER

Steve get a sign "EP FILMING IN PROGRESS DO NOT DISTURB" and put it out in front of the Tarp. Keep the Mugglers away.
That'll do it!

Question.... what make are those telescopic poles you were using please. Thanks in advance.
The make is 'Adventuridge'. Not sure where I got them, don't think they were expensive.

Yes, got one of those steel soap bars. Good for fish but not so great on kippers and lugworm!
