Great ending, couldn’t have planned it better. You have become my favourite TH-cam prepper, great content, no one else seems to be getting out there like you. And you ain’t selling stuff, nice one!
Will you get another dog one day....if you do, bring it to your camps with you, would love to see, I know it's to soon yet. I've had dogs all my life and I know it's heart breaking when they leave us 💔 x
Got to admire your commitment Steve. A calm in a storm. Even if we don't get a shtf moment these little exercises are great, healthy adventures. On a side note. Have you practiced a total grid down at home yet, for say, two or three days? No mains gas, electric or water (exceptions may be made for freezers, although coping without a freezer would introduce another level of consideration.) Cheers Buddy.
I have considered doing that for 72 hours to be realistic. I don't have suitable power to run my fridge so would need some prep to run down my food first as I would not want to waste a load of stuff. Obviously, in a shtf situation, I'd do whatever I could, like run a camping fridge. I won't lie, in winter, it would be a challenge tbh.
Hay man, I love your channel. I've been watching for some time, and like what you are doing, keep it up, mate. I am in Cumbria in the sticks and have been prepping for years and am now settling a camp up somewhere safe, hard work as it isn't easy to bo if things go tits up. Anyway, have a good one, mate.
Have the same stove unit as you, even had that awful blue cellophane, ive only used it camping locally with wood found at the site and I must say it is really good at that! the door to get at that base of the fire is really useful and can put the bigger bits across the top and can cook over it easily.
Loved the video series “tarp breakfast” Steve and another great episode As you’ve mentioned you havnt worn the khaki for real , I think your reliving your mis-spent youth . Yes you can use the mess tin to heat your food . Another couple of seconds and we would have missed the blow away poncho . 😂
I used to love crawling round the undergrowth in camo gear like in Predator when I was younger! It's great to have given myself the opportunity to do it all again now!
Glad you liking the Firedragon - good bit of kit. I cook and eat out of the mess tins - saves on cleaning and carrying as much stuff. I'm of the view that the drones are military testing their defences/attack strategies, seeing that they're such a threat in Ukraine and that they're not shooting them down.
You’re getting good at this now! I wouldn’t cook in aluminium if I were you, aluminium creates nasties in the food. Looks like the mess tin is aluminium.
Hi Steve , just watched your video after getting signal back , great video mate your doing a great job and a very big congratulations on the 3k subs more will come I guarantee that . Take care and keep up the great work , I was going to try a camp last night but changed my mind to find out from the landowner that a tree I use to lash my tarp came down in the wind ,must have been lucky for once 👍⛺🪓
Thanks so much, glad you're enjoying watching! That was definitely a close shave with the tree. I wish I vould get out and about everyday in all weathers!

Thank you, much appreciated! You obviously haven't seen my shop, lol. Although I don't mention much, too busy throwing tarps about!
Well you’re not ramming it down our throats, no didn’t know….obvs.
It's also nice comments like this that makes getting out and about even more enjoyable! Thank you.
Enjoying your content. Watch yourself in the wind 😊
Ahhhh... Nothing like the smell of a gentle sea breeze combined with bacon..... Nice one mate.
Congratulations on 3k subscribers. Looking forward to seeing what you do for it.
Thank you! Any suggestions?!
Was waiting with bated breath for the stove windshield to blow away it did well :)
Me too, I was surprised. I was expecting it to slide all the down the concrete into the sea, with my breakfast!

Way too early for me to consider at the moment. A massive hole has been left though.x

Your windshield is upside down

Yes, I reckon the bcb would have performed better on it's own without the stove. Great to try it all out in that wind though!

Stainless steel for the win! 🫕
Next episode. Cooking while hang gliding on a tarp🤔
