Keep in mind that even in Mexico EVERY dish differs from state to state! So keeping it traditional is different depending which state someone grew up in...
@@johnmontgomery3471 mexican food is a variation of white european spanish food. so if you take the 75% eueopean end of mexican food, then add another 20% european american twist to it, can you really even call it anything other than european food? Take a taco for instance. If you dont want a grits type consistency to the corn meal, you need a stone mill. You also need lard and salt for the tortillas. "authentic" tacos are usually served with onions and cilantro. Well, the mills, cilantro, salt, onions, pigs(lard), cattle(cheese, milk, butter, sour cream), chickens, horses and even rice came from white european spanish. and thats not all; about 95+% of "their culture", is european(from spain). everything from their music/instruments, language, architecture, fashion, religion(the main one, catholic), bullfighting, food ingredients and more are all due to europeans. Even churros are from spain(and they brought cinnamon and sugar to mexico as well). The spanish didnt influence tradition "mexican" cuisine. The local peppers and corn influenced spanish cuisine in that region. peace.
All restaurants here have enchildas with filling in them,. There are even enchiladas with cheese, etc. inside and covered with a bean sauce and crumbled queso fresco cheese.I know of one restaurant that does them, not many here do. And yes it is an authenic mexican recipe.
Not any more, its all the same now. I worked for coke and we bottled the bottle soda in OK and sold to stores in U.S. and even shipped to Texas for a while.

the only thing wrong about this video is that its quick and felt like 5mins because its so good! we need 30min videos! keep up the amazing job! :3
Its just not the same without Calvin, all your videos are great but when both of you get together something special happens !!!
no man i wanna simp 😂
That fajita looks AMAZING!!!!
I would love to see you in jamaica.
You need to do a food review show here in Jamaica🇯🇲
I wanna see that! Scotch Bonnets are my favorite! I'm from Texas and regularly order boxes of Scotch Bonnets from Jamaica.
@@MrAlwaysRight 👍 great love that
Sonny does an excellent job on his channel. It is like a food show you see on Networks, top notch quality
Should stay in Houston and try all the authentic Vietnamese food and review.
He did with other food reviewers in California and houston. He probably already did have video for houston and California for him self. Its all prerecorded for weeks and weeks before its posted on youtube. Only noobs and newer less famous youtuber record within the same week then post videos within the same week.
@@JohnT2088 you do realise many popular chanels uplode same day as recording? In fact many popular yt chanels simply stream, i know many that make a video and uplode the minute its done cause yt isnt JUST review shows, travel, games, and film, its also memes, viral candid videos, clout chasing, and artists.
Many animators take weeks to finish a video but usually they uplode the moment its finished
Just making youself sound kinda like an ass saying "only noobs and newer less famous chanels dont prerecord a week in advance" like thats what is nessicary to get popular when popularity is random af
Not only that, Houston is fusion central. Viet-Cajun crawfish will change your world. It’s crawfish cranked up to 11.
Texmex is still incredible.
great show as always......smart beautiful host with awesome smile as well
Some of the most delicious food I have ever had was in Villahermosa Mexico. This is a marriage of corn, tropical fruits and seafood. Indescribably good. Campeche Bay shrimp are sweet and salty- just mouth watering.
I can't watch this mid-morning, knowing my choices are eggs or cereal.
I'll catch you tonight, Sonny.
Thanks a lot Sonny, now I can't stop drooling! 🤤
It may be a lie but it's my favorite one on Earth, and the tastiest. I cook Tex Mex, was raised on it but you can throw all that shredded lettuce in the trash. All us Texicans can't deny that one.
I don't buy Iceberg Lettuce for anything any more. I would rather have cabbage than lettuce, or Romaine lettuce.
Those fajitas look insane.
So excited that you're here in Texas!!!
Hello ❤❤❤
As a Tejano, I can say no one ever gets tired of texmex is sooo good.
I know this isn't related to the video but I just ate the best apple ever
Love her smile. Thanks so much.
Dominic's mother's portraits would be at home in any haunted house!
Ooooffff- chimichangaaaaa 🔥🔥🔥🙌
Hello ❤❤❤
great food video
Much better cohost than that last girl. This is what chemistry looks like. She's very likeable. Great video!
💥Yes that's a question that I want answered because I get so many different answers from different nationality of people. The question: is texmex the same as Mexican American food? I went to my friend's grandmother's house she made enchiladas I asked where's the cheese I was schooled right there. real enchiladas don't have cheese🤷🏾♀️she said. Authentic Mexican food is my most favorite food in the world but maybe not after this video #Schooled!
So all this time I've been loving Mexican-American? Lol smh I feel like a failure not knowing what I was talkn about😅my while life whn ot comes to this.
I think Mexican-American food covers California, Arizona, New Mexico, Tex-Mex and any other American variations of Mexican food.
@@johnmontgomery3471 thank u :)
The local peppers and corn influenced spanish cuisine in that region. peace.
As someone who has been to El Tiempo, their sizzling fajitas are the absolute best
We dont eat enchiladas with nothing in them I literally just had some with some cheese from Mexico and u can use chicken very delicious
All restaurants here have enchildas with filling in them,. There are even enchiladas with cheese, etc. inside and covered with a bean sauce and crumbled queso fresco cheese.I know of one restaurant that does them, not many here do. And yes it is an authenic mexican recipe.
@@hildahilpert5018 ik that
that fajita seasoning 100% has msg in it, so addictive!
This dude said , it's hard to find real Mexican food in Mexico! Alright Texas, you took a L for that .
@Kanuii Scan That's not what he said
Tex Mex food makes me sad 😞, but authentic mexican food make me proud 🤩. Nothing like real authentic mexican food !!! ❤
Mexican Coke uses REAL CANE SUGAR(YUM), not corn syrup(YUK!)
Exactly. I was going to say the same thing.
Thanks for typing this out so I didn’t have to 🥴
Not any more, its all the same now. I worked for coke and we bottled the bottle soda in OK and sold to stores in U.S. and even shipped to Texas for a while.
@@madmex2k I sell it everyday at the bar I manage, trust me when I say it is made with cane sugar.
@@madmex2k well, you see, OK isn't in Mexico... The bottles from Mexico still use cane sugar.
11:20 I'm gunna-give-it-a-little-bit-of-a-dip-in-the-butter... You got bars Sonny!
Shorty lost me after she said they only season with salt and pepper in Mexico 😂diabetes done ate her brain
Truth... She has obviously never been in a Mexican kitchen. I'll have authentic Mexican food over tex mex any day and I live in the Rio Grande Valley.
