she’s absolutely stunning and even more alluring with a no nonsense sharp trim. I must say however that it could have been so much better. i much prefer it when an experienced lady hairdresser first gives her a lovely shampooing prior to the trim. and the best part for me has to be the clippers…. They make an amazing sound and create the most beautiful textured finish.

I hate that chunky bit at the back. She's pretty so she looks good with either short or long hair but I'm not a fan of this type of haircut. Especially that back bit that's just short and chunky. It's going to take forever to grow out this hideous haircut. The only reason she looks good is because she has a pretty face.

The show was actually called "Makeover" and it was on WQED in the States from 1980 to 1992. One of my favorite episodes was this female swimmer with waist length hair that was transformed into a short haircut. The stylist said she needed short hair so the long hair would not effect her swimming championships. That would be cool if you could find that episode so can you? @@haarminnaar

Why is that?
Narrator is odd and overdramatic, questionable cutting/styling skills, never perfected the cut by thinning out bulk which created a mushroom-like look overall making her look 80's like and mousey. Her features are too fine for a bulbous unflattering hair-do. Loading and weighing her hair down with product to fake another look is bogus. A novice would have done better by this client.
@@lizasherman7431 it really is a makeover from the 1980s. And he was probably a very famous stylist, or he wouldn't have been in this tutorial series. But I hear you, and I have no doubt that it's not the best cut by today's standards. Would you be interested in sharing your own work?
From the 80's or not, this stylist shows little skill in the ways of cutting, sectioning, cross checking, etc.............
I am not a stylist, I am a designer, graduate of F.I.T. in N.Y.C. , and there are certain rules of creating whether discussing interiors, fashion, or hair styling. What makes it fair for me to comment, is that I am also an educated consumer and I would hate to be butchered by this unprofessional individual.

I have been a licensed stylist for years. Since 2021 this is an everyday occurrence and I enjoy just trimming a small amount to keep it looking maintained. I never realized how much I miss working on longer hair . But my job is to give my clients what they want.

I absolutely loved seeing this makeover again. I have always adored videos from Italian Hair Fashion and this was definitely a gem. The length of her haircut is gorgeous and I think the way it was styled makes her look even more gorgeous.
