@@RenataPereiraTV Well, you ARE writing "thanks to you", instead of just saying "thank YOU" back, so that gets me all confused all the time. Doesn't "thanks TO you" suggest that the whole video is shot through somebody's favor and thanks to that person? Confusing!
So does that mean that Renata got a gig in UK now? I wonder if there were any Russian spies around doing sightseeing. The castle's amazing. It's interesting though how much of it really goes back to the claimed original date, since it looks so classically-medieval and was probably rebuilt and renewed a thousand times. What's lacking is a full-blown "renaissance fair" around it. How fun would that be. I don't think it's right though to be able to SELL historic heritage like this, as if it was a regular property. There's something totally crazy about that.
No gig in the UK, but close 😉. Yeah, I guess I agree about now being able to sell to private companies... who knows what they may do with it?! And yeah, the castle went through various renovations, as after each battle they perfected their defenses... And our guide also mentioned that when Madame Tussauds bought the castle, it was literally falling apart, as the owner was broke!
@@RenataPereiraTV It's a fun and neat thing that they've turned it into, though. It didn't seem very crowded; would you say that the admission price was way too high for the majority of the people?
There were actually more people than I expected, as we were there during low season and in the middle of the week. But yeah, prices can be as high as 28 pounds per person if you don't buy the ticket in advance
@@RenataPereiraTV Hi Renata, great videos. The castle is owned by Merlin who own hundreds of locations like this around the world. My Daughter worked for them for a few years so we always got free entry :)
I am English and the thing is though about the pronunciation of Warwick, and other similar place names like Greenwich, is that it would have been said War-wick in Old and Middle English, even into early Modern English. It is just over time the lazy English tongue has squashed it into Warrick. I have no problem with people pronouncing it correctly: War-wick. Some English can get quite pedantic about such things without actually having any historic or etymological grounds to back themselves up.
You can blame that on the fact that most English people gave up on the Rhotic way of pronouncing words quite a long time ago, unlike the west country Scotland Cornwall etc. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhoticity_in_English
Hi Renata,🙎 A little fact about archers,if they where captured by the enemy In battle, they would have there fingers chopped off, then they could not fire a bow anymore, the 2 finger salute ✌ was given to the enemy to let them see and insult the enemy in battle and to let them know they could fire a long bow, that is how the 2 finger salute came about, the English army did to the French to wind them up🃏.,also every man had to practice firing a bow,it was madatory under English law, that they where profishant in that skill.🎯😋

Hi there , Renata and of course Gordon, Renata if you want to see real castles you will need to come north to my part of the world where castles are not fairy tail castles but the real Mckoy , from my house I am only minutes away from real castles were real Kings and Queens lived in were Kings were born in and dastardly deeds were committed in there name, by the way that catapult was not invented in Warwick Castile it was the Romans and the Greeks who invented it, it's called a Treviso a siege weapon that the Romans loved using, the word Ballistic comes from the Roman Ballista a projectile Roman artillery,it was a huge crossbow with power that they used if you did not pay for your 🍕🍕🍕 to the deliveryman ,he he knocked at your door, then knocked down the house. I have some news for you the snow has arrived in Minnesota last week, 🎿🎿❄❄❄❄❄⛄⛄ how cool is that ? it has come early. Anyway I digress, so what do you think of the castle ,you could ship it back to Texas and turn it into a theme castle with stocks for Gordon , and castle chair leaders doing there thing at a Texan weekend joust with bucking Bronc's in armour, and Big Mack's with plenty of hot chili sauce that your home town is famous for, what do you think of that Renata, Gordon in a tin can in the stocks and you throwing rotten eggs and fruit at him, with a prize of a 100💲 💵💵💵💵💵💸💸💸💸, by the way I liked your new tit for tat, get a metal one for castle visits and jousting parties in Texas 👑 👩👴,😹 by the way great Vlog enjoyed it ,till the next time take care.
😂😂😂😂 You are getting very creative with your ideas, huh!? Not bad to have a themed castle Texas style 😉😊🙌. It would probably make a lot of $$$$$$ in the US!
You have the Queen Mary, and one of Londons bridge that was dismantled then reconstructed Stateside, all it takes is the will and the cash to do so, nothing is impossible, just imagination, also the science of virtual reality, so what about Stone Hendge, is there any takers and shakers out there in the market, location what about Central Park, or on the top of Trump Towers, I would go with Central Park for Rock Concerts, that would be the ultimate in getting stoned, band Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones along with the remaining old Rockers who love rock and roll, what about Gordon would he be up for some heavy rock? , keep your eyes open for a bargain, the Brexit closing down sale is about to begin 29/03/2019 you never know what we will sell, all currencies and credit cards will be excepted at the closing down sale.

Hi Elliot, thank you so much. I don’t take it negatively at all. Actually I really appreciate constructive and respectful criticism like yours, as I’m always trying to get better 😊. This video was actually what opened my eyes to this point you mentioned, and after this I became much more aware of the pronunciations and I think I’m doing better now 😉. Thanks for your suggestion, just took note of it. I love the UK, and hopefully will be back for many more videos 😊
Hello teacher renatinha good morning
Good morning!
Great video, however one thing that was incorrect other than the pronunciation, is that Warwick is a town not a city. Nearest city would be Coventry.
Thank you for the correction we appreciate😀 and thanks for watching!
@Deadly Duddly Unfortunately, that's a common myth. There are several towns with cathedrals that aren't cities; and several cities without cathedrals.
Чуть не в плен взяли Ренату, заковали враги 😊мы пойдем спасать😊🔆🔆🔆🔆Рената спасибо большое за экскурс в историю.
😅😂🙌🤗 Пожалуйста! Благодаря вам!
@@RenataPereiraTV
Renata, what do you mean in English exactly, when you say ?
Uh-oh... I guess I'm saying it all wrong... 😬 I mean "thanks to you" in response, as he was thanking me for the video (at least it's what I understood), so I want to thank him for watching. How should I say it?
@@RenataPereiraTV
Well, you ARE writing "thanks to you", instead of just saying "thank YOU" back, so that gets me all confused all the time. Doesn't "thanks TO you" suggest that the whole video is shot through somebody's favor and thanks to that person? Confusing!
Am vizitat acest castel, în ianuarie 2018
Foarte bine. Te-ai bucura de?
@@RenataPereiraTV
It's a fun and neat thing that they've turned it into, though.

Warwickshire as a tourism to increase as a growth for Warwickshire by county council as goverment.
The most famous owner was Warwick the King-maker" The richest and most powerful man of his age.As his name suggests he 'managed' the monarchs.
Hi Renata,🙎 A little fact about archers,if they where captured by the enemy
In battle, they would have there fingers chopped off, then they could not fire
a bow anymore, the 2 finger salute ✌ was given to the enemy to let them see
and insult the enemy in battle and to let them know they could fire a long bow,
that is how the 2 finger salute came about, the English army did to the French
to wind them up🃏.,also every man had to practice firing a bow,it was madatory
under English law, that they where profishant in that skill.🎯😋
Oh my God! Life was hard back then, huh? 😮😮😮
Renata still is for those who don't have any say in the way there life's are manipulated
on a daily basis, it does not matter what type of regime they live under, right or left they
still get manipulated the many by the few, through restrictive access to education, health,
food, as example the world internet,📱📲📟📞📠📡💻 its meaningless to those who
don't have regular and sustained electricity supply, the supply of clean water, access
to health care at all levels, education, and through education knowledge and understanding
of what is going on, which effects them and there families on a minute by minute basis,
hour by hour and a day by day basis,by greedy people wanting to become even more
greedier and want to pull all the strings in there lives..🌐🏦🏦🏭🏭🔧🔨🔩🌾🌿🌳🌴

+ecosselion The oft-repeated "two-finger salute" origin story is an urban legend. See: www.snopes.com/fact-check/pluck-yew/
The w in the middle of warwick is not pronounced.
No Jousting or birds of prey demo's?
No jousting 😩😮😢, I guess it’s only during summer or weekends... I missed the birds of prey as I was filming at the higher parts of the castle 😕
When Dionne Warick first came to the U.K. they used the English spelling Warwick on the flyers and programmes. She preferred that way spelling her name so she changed over to it.
Interesting bit of information. And she lived in my home country Brazil for a period.😀👍

Warwick is pronounced "Wo-rick" .... starting staying "what" but forget the "t" and replace with "rick" ....
Having my own problems with my first reply, tell Gordon to put
you in the stocks at Warwick Castle for the night as a punishment.

Arthur: King of the Britons.
Woman: 'Oo are the Britons?
Arthur: Well we all are! We are all Britons! And I am your king.
Woman: I didn't know we 'ad a king! I thought we were autonomous collective.

Woman: We don't have a lord!
Arthur: (spurised) What??

Hi there , Renata and of course Gordon, Renata if you want to see real castles you
will need to come north to my part of the world where castles are not fairy tail castles
but the real Mckoy , from my house I am only minutes away from real castles were
real Kings and Queens lived in were Kings were born in and dastardly deeds were
committed in there name, by the way that catapult was not invented in Warwick Castile
it was the Romans and the Greeks who invented it, it's called a Treviso a siege weapon
that the Romans loved using, the word Ballistic comes from the Roman Ballista a projectile
Roman artillery,it was a huge crossbow with power that they used if you did not pay for
your 🍕🍕🍕 to the deliveryman ,he he knocked at your door, then knocked down the house.
I have some news for you the snow has arrived in Minnesota last week, 🎿🎿❄❄❄❄❄⛄⛄
how cool is that ? it has come early.
Anyway I digress, so what do you think of the castle ,you could ship it back to Texas and turn
it into a theme castle with stocks for Gordon , and castle chair leaders doing there thing at a Texan
weekend joust with bucking Bronc's in armour, and Big Mack's with plenty of hot chili sauce that
your home town is famous for, what do you think of that Renata, Gordon in a tin can in the stocks
and you throwing rotten eggs and fruit at him, with a prize of a 100💲 💵💵💵💵💵💸💸💸💸,
by the way I liked your new tit for tat, get a metal one for castle visits and jousting parties in Texas
👑 👩👴,😹 by the way great Vlog enjoyed it ,till the next time take care.
😂😂😂😂 You are getting very creative with your ideas, huh!? Not bad to have a themed castle Texas style 😉😊🙌. It would probably make a lot of $$$$$$ in the US!
You have the Queen Mary, and one of Londons bridge that was dismantled
then reconstructed Stateside, all it takes is the will and the cash to do so,
nothing is impossible, just imagination, also the science of virtual reality,
so what about Stone Hendge, is there any takers and shakers out there in
the market, location what about Central Park, or on the top of Trump Towers, I would go with Central Park for Rock Concerts, that would be the
ultimate in getting stoned, band Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones along
with the remaining old Rockers who love rock and roll, what about Gordon
would he be up for some heavy rock? , keep your eyes open for a bargain,
the Brexit closing down sale is about to begin 29/03/2019 you never know
what we will sell, all currencies and credit cards will be excepted at the closing down sale.
@@eccosselion 😂😂 Alright! Will start making my bets! Gordon also loooooooves a good rock n roll!!!
its pronounced Worrick
