I still never get amazed (over a year later) how people weren't *paying attention* when Wanda clearly removed Captain Marvel's powers and mask from her before the explosion. *THAT* is why she died from the statue. Wanda literally turned her back into a normal human again, and you can see when she tried to go binary/use her cosmic energy to shield herself, and it didn't work. 😂
Exactly, people are so blind. You can see Wanda's red magic creeping up Maria's arm while tearing away at her armor and mask and you can see the light around her hand slowly fade, showing more of her bare hand. Wanda was siphoning off Maria's Photon energy to remove her superhuman durability for the final blow.

its like they didnt pay attention to WandaVision when she was taking Agatha's powers. What you think she could only drain the power from other witches? Pretty sure she can drain anyones powers. Xavier also should have known better then to enter the mind of the Scarlet Witch.

@@FouTarnished it wasn't "plot armor", wanda caused that. during their clash, wanda absorbed captain marvel's power, so by the time the statue fell on her, she was as vulnerable as any other non-powered person.

She absorbed captain marvels energy blast, and used it against her so when captain Marvel hit the ground, she no longer had her strength or powers that’s why they were spinning in the air and you can see marvels yellow beams turning red similar to what she did to Agatha in WandaVision

The craziest and scariest scene in Multiverse of Madness 🤯
This was definitely a highlight of the movie, by far the darkest, bloodiest, and most violent fight scene in MCU history! And what's even crazier about this is that she managed to saw through the Illuminati, all from the comfort of her throne, in her own universe, without barely breaking a sweat. The Captain Marvel I know would not have gone down so easily in a one-on-one fight against Wanda, nor would her powers have drained quickly like a phone battery; she IS the battery because she absorbed the Tesseract's energy. It's still heartbreaking to me to see Wanda completely lose her humanity and allow her pain and rage to consume her and become corrupted by the Darkhold's influence. It was like a drug to her deepest desires, and she couldn't stop until she saw what she had become. I hope that we'll see her again in the future, properly redeemed and in full control of herself, and to take on Kang with the other Avengers.
Was it wrong that I wasn't shocked at the scenes like the death like I was smiling the entire time just watching wanda-
I was actually rooting for Wanda aka scarlet witch on this fight because she's is my favorite marvel character along with vision.

The single most savage scene in the entire mcu. The Illuminati stood no chance against the scarlet witch and she will return more powerful than ever. The house of M, which will probably take place in secret wars.

Everyone remembers seeing this in the theater when Black Bolt dies.
It’s because if you watch X-Men Evolution Wanda is with the brotherhood and they only win with her on their side as she can tap into everyone’s powers and alter their genetics to strip or control their powers and the Scarlet Witch is pretty much the most powerful being in Marvel. For example her first fight in a mall with X-Men she makes cyclops blast uncontrably and manoeuvres the beam to attack his team and destroy the mall. Shadow at tries to phase underneath her and Scarlet Witch traps her in the floor, Nightcrawler tries to teleport Kitty and she send the port to outside the mall, Jean tries to attack and she sends her flying away too.
So she alters and manipulates Black Bolt, Mr Fantastic and Xavier’s powers. Then with Captain Marvel she actually strips her powers that’s why the energy sphere and streams are taken over by the red of her chaos Magic.
Plus they also said there was a deleted scene where our Mordo attacks Wanda in the beginning of the film and she kills him like he’s nothing but didn’t want to show her villainy straight away. But in 836 Dr Strange accuses their Mordo of being just as power hungry and Wong knew straight away what Wanda being the Scarlet Witch meant and as their Sorcerer Supreme Mordo probably also knows how dangerous The Scarlet Witch is and he doesnt warn the team i think because he wanted the Illuminati to tire her so he could try steal her magic for himself, plus they did seem pretty arrogant, as it took all of them and their Dr Strange and the book of Vishanti to defeat Thanos. Yet in Endgame Wanda almost single handedly destroyed Thanos and she wasn’t even the Scarlet Witch then.
I think that’s also why she actually hates Strange as she mentions him giving up the Time Stone and really he did that to save Starks life and she actually hated him. Because if he hadn’t given the Time Stone and teleported away or something, she would’ve destroyed the Mind Stone and her anger would have overpowered her like when Ultron killed Pietro and she probably would’ve killed him especailly when he tried to sympathise with her. As if they had done that battle plan no one would’ve been dusted for 5 years.

Also Mary saying that Maria's energy getting drain made sense because apparently her(Carol as welll) can't absorb her own blast.
Also Wanda is LITERALLY ranked as one of the top powerful characters in the Marvel University regardless of media.
Would be interesting, if reed hadn't said anything about black bolt and he just talked and Wanda vaporized and they all go "well, that's that" and as soon as they start to walk away, sparks of red starts to form back into Wanda and then the battles begin.

People tend to forget that Wanda can absorb power. Wanda ,while fighting Captain Marvel, she absorbed Captain Marvel's powers so when she was down, Captain Marvel was basically only human and that's why she got killed by the statue that was droped on her.
I still find it funny how people expected this version of the Illuminati to last. Like, come on, y'all. You really thought this Illuminati was gonna be the one we stay with. It's just an introduction. We'll get the main ones soon enough.

Your quote is true though. I don’t want my favorite characters to be perfect and have a perfect life. My favorite characters are those who are complex and have struggles. That doesn’t excuse their bad decisions (aka murderous rampage lol), but that also doesn’t mean Wanda isn’t my favorite character. Her and Loki are my favorites because they do have an evil side to them that they must battle with. Mr Perfect Captain America isn’t my thing (though he is my thing to look at ❤)

In my opinion this scene right here was really cool and really catches a glimpse of the essence of scarlet witch in the comics (she is more broken in the comics) but also i want to point out how they really made black bolt, MR fantastic and professor X a total joke, i mean sure scarlet witch is insanely powerful but at least they should have put more of a fight, the way professor X, Mr fantastic and black bolt died was so dirty, i mean this was even worse than fighting Thanos itself, has i said pretty cool, but it still gives me the feel of being rushed

The two biggest problems I had with this scene is
1. They COMPLETELY wasted John Krasinski's Reed Richards and his potential.
2. For being the most powerful superheroes the Illuminati are all killed off in like two or three minutes of screen time!
It's because they tried to show how powerful Darkhold Wanda is, but I agree that Reed was wasted.
@@edisonlaw934 I don't follow the comics at all. I truly would like to know what Reed could have done in the moment? I don't know the extent of his powers aside from he can make his body any shape or form, or no form at all and that he is one of the smartest people in the MCU (not sure how that would have done anything at that moment).

@@edisonlaw934 Giving her a real challenge would've been a better way to do that reather than making everyone else weak, Blackbolt and cap marvel against her would've made more sense and showed how powerful she is even more

I don’t think Captain Marvel got her powers the same way as 616 Captain Marvel. I believe her powers are coming from the suit & it was created by Superior Iron Man.
There is literally no proof of that being true lmao. In 838, Maria was most likely the one that went on the mission instead of Carol. Basically same way Carol got her powers, but replace Carol with Maria. And before you mention the color, Carol is literally able to change the color of her suit in her movie. But you can have your own theories

The only bad thing abt this movie is the final part. The rest is actually pretty good.
