- Hi! This video is about our first week on our farmstead in Estonia. I show you around and give you some impressions of our beautiful place we are so grateful for :)
We are a Belgian couple starting a permaculture- inspired farmstead from scratch on the island Saaremaa in the Baltic sea.

At first, I could not believe you would leave such a beautiful garden paradise in Belgium! But then your tour of the the new land, I fell in love too! Subscribed for everything that's to come, thanks for sharing!
Oh my goodness, it is so beautiful there. Ist a big move you have made to move there, to Start a home, a farm and all you have ever dreamed of. Very courageous indead. I have Already seen some of your videos, so I know just what you have achieved in that short time. But when I Look at the begining of your time there, I See the beauty of it all, but somehow think - oh where to begin!
You are both young, healthy and full of Energy and adventure - Absolutly perfect! You have chosen a beautiful piece of land - almost untouched. So Lucky! I am so happy to be able to be a watching part of your adventure. A Dream a lot of us have, but too late in life to give it a try.

I never believed there was such a place as Paradise...but it would appear you have found it.
If you like rustic and simple and include composttoilets into your vision of paradise then who knows😉

I notice your departure from Belgium (and the very deserted border/Ferry entrance) occurred during the chaos of Corona. Was the timing of your departure deliberate and related?
Not really, we were already planning everything out in 2019, but the corona chaos just delayed our opportunity to travel and look for land:)
Can you put windows on the south side.
I am looking at moving to Estonia. Out of interest ca. You tell me how much your land was please and if you had any difficulties registering for it?
Are you still interested? If you look for old farmsteads in need for renovation, it's not expensive. We did not had problems registering it.

How much land do you have? And how much from that is forest and field?
1,8 hectares of which maybe 4000m2 is an open clearing, the rest is forest :)
U should log/timber cut your larger trees out, if you get a logging representative you can get most of the money for your property back!
