great video mate we have just come back from scotland the big bait fishing was crap so we reverted to small bait down the side 15 different kinds of fish in one day was great fun nothing over ten inch but 3 of the fish i have never caught before take care buddy 🎣👍
I enjoy LRF off the Stone Jetty at Aberystwyth over low water and up, started using a small 5g float as can fish further out with it, get Wrasse or various types, Gobies, Blennies, small Pollack and Bass, even have a small Mullet yesterday. Mind you with the High Tides this week I am looking at hook to stop knot distance of at least 16 feet, low water more like 4 to 6. Fishing today was off the Beach from 5pm for the evening tide, loads of small Mackerel about got 4 decent ones, first was a hungry little bugger that took Mackerel bait on a 2/0 for Doggies etc, that and a small Ballan was all I had i pulley rig and bait. Smaller rod with Feathers got the Mackerel (25) and a small Bass.
Great video as ever mate how small were they 😂 oh yeah teeny tiny!! Drop shotting there would be great there as you can get really small soft plastics and can also be used on the canals lakes for the perch
You cannot beat a bit of LRF fishing with size 12 / 14 hooks, tiny bits of ragworm (or gulp fake worms !) I once had 12 species off Llandudno pier and another time 10 off Amlwch harbour
@@theawfulangler I was wondrin if you might get some different species flinging a sabiki rig around off of those dock walls. I have seen videos of Canadians reeling in loads of herring, with sabiki rigs. I have no idea where around the UK you could get access to a shoal of herring from the shore. If you DO find a herring shoal, they just line up like mackerel for mackerel flies.
Then, . . . squid . . . . do THEY count as a species? Again, there are plenty of videos of anglers hauling up chunky squid from the depths of docks all around the UK. I have no doubt at all that there are quid where you go to do your fishing - you just ned to plop a squid lure in front of them. I reckon you could do a fun and interesting video, going after squid!
And finally, a 180 degree pendulum swing from LRF fishing, check out "Giant Blue Fin Tuna and Fly fishing for Sharks in the UK". Way too scarey for me, but exciting to watch. All the best.
I love that spot. Great for us folks with mobility issues.
Great video totally loved watching it well done.
Awesome, this kind of fishing is what get every young lad / lass into this sport . Topman .
This is the sort of fishing I'll be showing jack when he's old enough to hold a rod. Not that I'm trying to influence him in any way 🤣
Nice one Alex, reminds me of school holidays 👍
Great fun. Catching new species is always a thrill, even if they're tiny!
Look at you with all them fish well done m8

Scotland is still on the to do list this year 🤫 15 species sounds great!

Sounds like a busy session that does. I'm hoping to get out over the weekend and make use of these big tides, but we will see
Superb and always fun trying small baits and fine rigs close in off docks and harbour walls
Honestly, I loved it! Watching the fish stalk and turn away, even though they're tiny, great fun!
Thanks for vid Alex.
Gd fun !
Tight lines, Take care
Being able to see and pick your fish is good fun and a challenge. Cheers Alex. 🧔 👍
Nice video Alex. Try some hooks to nylon, very good for that type of fishing.🎣🎣
Thank you for sharing another good video some lovely small fish 🐟
Thanks Paul!
loving the variety vids buddy!! fresh water, micro fishing.... we will see you fly fishing in no time!!! 🤣
Haha funny you should mention that 👀
Great vid thanks. 👍
Sometimes size and species blind us to what fun fishing can be,keep it up,tight lines
That was some great fishing. Nice to show that the water quality is supporting the immature fish.
I don’t think I have seen a video that you are so excited on. Great video and great you had a good day. See size doesn’t matter after all! 😂 👍

Yeah drop shotting is one technique I'm keen to learn.

Cracking video Alex
Great fun mate!
From Col H yet again to LRF anglers please get a disgorger. Love your videos Disbled & can, t fish anymore.
Nice one. LRF for tiddlers is a hoot. Do your freshwater fish count in the Species Hunt?
No mate, it's shore caught only. I have seen a few national hunts though that do cover both, maybe an idea for next year 🤔

@russellgibbon8621 it's on my to do list mate. I know where I'm targeting them. I know when I'd like to target them. Just need to make sure I'm free 😅
I just love fishing for mini species I find rag dose it better than squid
🎣🎣👍
