I think that’s the ticket, banshee, liberator, Ravens, Viking, BC. As long as you get the first hit in. They too busy playing defense. They Need turrets, gas, star ports to defend. If you pick off upgrades as well, just a matter of time. It’s progression of order. You hit with banshees, natural read is to make turrets and cyclones, Ravens or Vikings. They build starports then you take them out, then they spend money on marines as an immediate counter. The option tree is predictable. It’s just a matter of hitting their key build in that momentum of weakness.
@@vinnieg6161 BCs is inefficient, that’s a late game. You can finish this by mid game. Advantage goes to person who attacks first and started their sky Terran first. If you can snow ball 2 to 1 starports advantage to 3 or 4 to 1 starports advantage then it’s a game of attrition. Defender too busy defending can’t expand. You force opponents into defensive build of turrets, while your spending money on more offensive units and upgrades. If you swoop in and take out turrets and starports then game over. If you look at progression of structure build to get to BCs then you hit those key structures. You hit starports, enemy can’t recover or counter attack.

Hope you're feeling better dude, the illness sounded really rough! I'm addicted to these series you make, but don't push yourself if you still need to recover. Thank u for the dank upload as usual
I think Uthermal actually prolongs games, I saw where he could have finished off a gas and a turret and he left them alone and let it build. He could have wiped entire scv population but held back. The other course of action was hit gasses, hit starports and turrets. You could just snipe key structures, instead of CCs. Once turrets gone, hit star ports, hit gasses. Only leaving scans as options to detect. Once used go hit another base or area outside of the scan. Everytime you hit key infrastructure, opponent can’t come back. Loses starports, losses gasses, Terrans air game gone, only option is turrets or scans. If opponents go to turrets, then you don’t even need to waste money on turrets, go straight to upgrades and expansion, and don’t allow opponents to come back. At a certain moment, will run out of scans and run out of resources to even build air units. Won’t have the gas, won’t have the starports, won’t have the workers, if you supply block then leaving a bunch of workers forces supply depots. Opponents at pure defensive turtle. Nothing worse than having a bunch of resources and unable to spend it. You notice in 2nd game, how 1 banshee wiped out group of reapers and hellions. Uthermal thinking he is behind? LOL Once he started snowballing, he wiped out ravens coming out. Can’t go to Vikings cuz he needs detection, scans inefficient use of resources. Notice opponents reaction in a state of panic? Turtles up, builds turrets, and air units to counter. His desperate attempt to counter with tanks and marines ended badly once he lost his raven detection. Once opponents turtles up, you can expand and upgrade even more. Uthermal could have finished him off without BCs. Money better spent on upgrading units than building turrets at home. Game was done, once opponent lost his detection and marines and they were running back for their lives.
@Michael Lochlann True, taking out buildings is more difficult. StarCraft is a very fluid game. The object of the tactic is to create panic. Taking out workers creates a response. Usually turrets or units to defend. A cloaked speed banshee response is detection, turrets or ravens. Taking an add on like a tech lab way easier than a CC. Once the panic sets in, opponents find themselves resource blocked, they just spent whatever resources on turrets and ravens and scans. By forcing a panic decision or desperate decision such as a base trade when not ready, attacker has advantage. It’s like a chess game, the person that can force an opponent into making a major mistake, wins. The effects just snowball. If you noticed, Uthermal wiped out the ravens, got rid of detection, danced in and out of scan, picked off the tanks then just chased the marines down. Remember Uthermal complains about the exchange 1 banshee taking out a group of reapers and hellions, thinking he came out on he short end. That was a reaper cheese that got shut down. That 1 banshee closed it down. Uthermal hasn’t refined this technique yet. He plays so many variations that his macro game gets confused. Building too many marines, or building mine digging claw upgrades etc etc. The one weakness I see in UTherms game is in important micro battles, he is more worried about APMs and switches his attention away from a important battle. Watch his videos, he does it about half the time. Look at how he leaves a gas alive and allows a turret to be built vs a micro where he takes out a turret being built. He actually says, did I do that much damage to the gas? I see it burning, scv sent to repair and his liberator is about 1/4 inch out of place. Notice how he switches focus to other parts of the map. When he finally comes back to it, scv repairs gas’s and another builds a turret. Notice how he keeps his Vikings home, they actually sit there a long time while he just focuses on banshee harassment. Uthermal purposely handicaps himself, says stuff like, I won’t land Vikings lol. I won’t make more than 5 marines, let me kill off the extra. When Uthermal plays, is he more interested in showing content or winning? Going through Uthermals mind, oops, killling this guy too quick, can’t show my BC part of the game. I have seen Uthermal a bunch of times, avoid the fast easy quick kill and prolong a game out just to show a cheese. Key moments of the game, defending base from reapers and hellions. The nail on the coffin was when he took out ravens, tanks, marines. Forced opponents to turtle. The only reason that I could think why Uthermal would leave a gas alive is to force repairs and use resources and pull an scv off he mineral line. Look at supply count it’s like 95 to 200. Game is over, until opponent realizes he is being played with. Cat with mouse. Florencio does this A lot too. Florencio does the game, waiting for opponent to realize your a walking dead man, just keeping you alive to torture you for entertainment. Uthermal intrests is two fold, winning, showing cheese, making it entertaining, showing how he handicaps himself. Uthermals read of direction of game in early scouting is amazing. His expectations of timing attacks is remarkable. Look at how well he was reading when those reapers showed up.
I watched these games like 5x. Increasing efficiency. If you noticed how devastating that banshee was against reapers and hellions then how devastating it was against marines and tanks. Would the build order be better if you went straight to banshee with cloaked and speed upgrade? Vikings good for medvacs and ravens. Only other thing I noticed was you get used to sniping instead of just attack moving. I think a group of cloaked speed banshee would be lot more effective than liberators. Faster snipe. Snipe targets would be starports, gasses, turrets, supply depots. Force opponent to burn resources in scanning, and building turrets then pick off easy targets like supply depots. You can set up opponents by hitting workers, forcing turrets around mineral lines then picking off easier targets like gasses, starports, supply depots. Once you get opponent supply blocked, game over. You force opponent to build depots. It’s a game of attrition. To maintain pressure you proxy a CC close enough to repair and maintain constant pressure. Once opponent goes to defensive turtle, only option is to build turrets, gasses, starports. By leaving workers alone, chews up supply and blocks. If you move up a CC to proxy position then forces opponent to hit that first before main base. A gamble is not to scout and use scv to gather resources to get to cloaked speed banshee asap. You will get your scout when banshees hit the base without loss of reaper or scv. Priority being gasses and starports production. Most terrans will wait until their medevacs are up to heal marines. If you ambush the medevacs or ravens then banshees able to finish off the marines. You chase marines back to base if any survive then your counter attack already at base. Reaction will be a scan or a raven build or turrets. You snipe a few things forcing a defensive turtle, pick off strategic buildings unprotected from turrets like gasses and depots. The trick would be to force opponent to use scans so they don’t have resources to build units or structures. By the time they realize they are supply blocked, game over.

Zerg is fun when the cheeses are extreme, as yours have been. But the nuanced macro cheeses aren't the same offrace, cannon rush good, 3 base all-in too complex. But as you said, quite correctly: "it's still me!" True. - terran bronze
Watching you playing sc feels like watching chess match. Somehow it's so relaxing, I even forgot it's rts and when I trying to do something like that I'm struggling with my pathetic 120 apm
I would like to see this strategy against a pro level gamer. I call it Controlled Chaos Cheese. As long as you hit first then you can control the build order and predict the flow of the game. Let me explain. You hit with cloaked banshees. Reaction mild state of panic is to spend resources on turrets, ravens, cyclones, marines, or scans. You look at reactions. You build some more banshees and Vikings to hit ravens and banshees to swoop in on turrets and starports. If you can force a panic build of more turrets and marines and starports, keep hitting air units and starports as they come out. Move a CC close for a repair station mid way. Don’t give any breathing room to recover. A few mines and libs needed to guard repair station. You finish game mid way, your in late game, opponents in turtle defensive build with constant harassment. If you can take out someone’s drop tactic like Marus medvac drops, you throw off the game completely by ambushing them with Vikings. Instead of wasting your barracks like you usually do, you fly it next to the midway repair station. You build marines to guard first then swoop in and finish the game, during this time just upgrade marines and air units. The object is to force opponent to waste resources on useless stuff like tanks, scans, turrets, burn resources. The sky build has so many weaknesses from gasses to star ports to the right unit. Easy to break the chain down to counter. By building enough banshees to 1 shot tanks and turrets, you just snipe their key infrastructure down.
Thermal try this on one of your GM series. Greed to GM Your first CC must be built on a rich resource area. Either gas or mineral. Any unit composition.
I'd like to see 3 or more ghost academy dedicated to nuke a corner one after another out of sight against a grandmaster as a mind game. And also tuck-in tanks with bunker on an offensive against zerg. Just a thought
Sky Terran way to go, don’t need defense at home as much. Who needs a tank when you got liberators and ravens. The maneuvering of defense and offense make it better. If you hit first the options that person faces is predictable. You hit with banshees really fast, they stuck with building ravens, turrets, sensors, you can make them waste money on scans really fast. Hit their starports and upgrades and gas. This leaves them scrambling back to marines. If you don’t have enough CC for scans or the resources in the beginning, you can snow ball that effect into the mid game.
I love the zerg series. At my mmr, around 2-3k, i rarely ever see zergs, so i never get to practise against them. I have no idea what they do, so my winrate vs zerg is like 20% while T and Z i've got 55% winrate against The zerg series helps me fill my gaps!

Zerg is fun when the cheeses are extreme, as yours have been. But the nuanced macro cheeses aren't the same offrace, cannon rush good, 3 base all-in too complex. But as you said, quite correctly: "it's still me!" True. - terran bronze
I'm glad you're feeling better :D
Watching you playing sc feels like watching chess match. Somehow it's so relaxing, I even forgot it's rts and when I trying to do something like that I'm struggling with my pathetic 120 apm
120 apm isn't pathetic. It takes a long time to work up to 120.
Greed to GM
Your first CC must be built on a rich resource area.
The zerg cheese is pretty cool one. I didn't know people would complain about it.
This e-bay wall-off is legendary
I like all your content and a little bit of variety in races can only be good!
Sky high Thermy fly lesssssssgooooooooooOO!!!!
I love the zerg series. At my mmr, around 2-3k, i rarely ever see zergs, so i never get to practise against them. I have no idea what they do, so my winrate vs zerg is like 20% while T and Z i've got 55% winrate against
The zerg series helps me fill my gaps!
The guerilla warfare Banshee Viking was absolutely ruthless lmao
The second guy had a kink for having his tanks killed. There is no other explanation.
you make it look so easy! I like the zerg series as well
It's great seeing your uploads again. Just throwing it out there, but do you think you can do a tank challenge?
Please keep doing Zerg. I believe in your ability as a Starcraft player, not just as one particular race player. I love all your content unconditionally
But I am a Zerg. Please keep the Zerg content coming
The only downside to your videos is there's no captions. It's amazing watching you show your mastery of all the races. Don't worry about it :3
I like everything you're doing! Waiting for good news about your health!
Came for Bongcloud stayed for Thermy.
Oh come on those poor marines 04:42
I'm a simple Terran, I see Battlecruisers , I upvote.
Thermy playing with Banshees feels like he is playing with mutalisks.
I hope the recent posts mean you’re feeling better!
"I refuse to watch a Zerg show!" made me laugh. Never really thought about how racism could manifests in starcraft players, but I guess that's how
Good to have you back Marc and if you want to play eFootball, I would still would watch your channel and atream
I love Zerg video as much as Terran... Really can't wait to see some protoss challenge!!!
super sweet and your Zerg is awesome too ;)
To quote a legend: "I am a simple man. I see BCs. I click."
I'm a Terran player and I'm here mosty for your Terran videos. I liked your first Hatchery rush video nonetheless - it's good content. All in all i think you should do content you yourself think it will be interesting - even if there will be Terran players like myself that will not always watch it, there will be also Zerg players that will like it.
Missed your content Thermy! Hope you are fine. I am sick right now so it is good to have some distraction.
I kind of like your Zerg episode.
I want to see when the enemy get pressured early in their preparing stage.
1st Game Moral: Never drop an auto-turret for a single SCV.
I never really liked playing Zerg, even on StarCraft 1. I do, however, love watching people play Zerg lol So yeah, Im enjoying the Zerg series very much. Especially with your hatchery cheese/trolling lol
Thanks for the fun. ^^
This makes so much fun to watch!
Welcome back! Awesome games!!!!
Proxy hatch to GM is super cool for me. I love watching pro level players go off race, it's always a unique perspective.
you should just ignore the tanks with the banshees and focus the marines at the start and just own them quickly if you can pick them off and leave them with no anti air
Do I see ... a battlecruiser!!! Yayyyyyy finally.
MMR at the start of the episode: 420.
Nice.
Are medivacd units counted as sky terran? What if they were not allowed to walk and had to be airlifted everywhere?
I love seeing you play zerg
28-3.... Gives me flashbacks
Five Marines assassinate two other Marines.
Somehow that bothers me. I don't know why.
are you getting Afghanistan flashbacks?
So far I have enjoyed the Zerg games too.
[14:10] Marc smells his armpit and coughs from pungent smell. 🙃
heres a new suggestion for a challenge to GM
Templars, dark templars and archons only to GM
I'm really excited for the protoss challenge :3
Wait in your first game did that reapers heal by standing next to the gas geyser? (3:50)
