    For jumper wires: affix some small neodymium magnets in a circle to some kind of tray, I use a magnetic parts tray. Then connect the two ends of each jumper to two adjacent magnets. You just need the same number of magnets as number of colours. Of course your jumper wires need to be magnetic - mine are.
    It keeps the curve in the wire which is usually the same shape it's used in, it's very easy to remove and replace jumpers in the right spot (just dangle the ends close to the right magnets), It's small and compact, and it's aesthetically satisfying -- it's like a rainbow jumper wire flower on your desk.

      I know I certainly wouldn't. Also Shay do you mean alternative materials? Adam Savage does 3d printing as well... And he isn't a creator he is an actual props designer and presenter that has a TH-cam channel.
      ... Do ... Do you think Manchester United Football Club are a creator because they have a large sub base and their videos easily get 10m views? Bless... All trees are green but not all green things are trees.
      Also I think Adam would only work with adults. Try that kid that made the racist Elmo ... He seems about Zacks level. He too has done fuck all in his industry and uses edgy humour to make up for gaps in knowledge and ability!

    I WILL buy a 3D printer and I WILL make cool gridfinity components for my art supplies. This is a threat.
    That idea came into my mind after you've shown the bottles. They will be perfrct for ink. Throw some holders for the pens and some holders for all the different nibs I use for my ink pens. I can already see it in my head, it's gonna be fun.
    I'm aware there's some extra requirements and playing around if I want to reliably hold liquids in these bottles, but it's worth a shot. I can always just make a base for the ink brand I use and have the normal bottle on there.

    Man every single time I add everything on this channel to my to do list and then go about my day doing adult shit. Several months later I'm looking at this list and thinking wtf I'm still trying set up my 3d printer lol and the list is like 3 pages long. No idea how to even approach this correctly but I guess Ill just keep adding more shit to my list.

      Same but I download the files to my mega backup file and iirc it's close to 20gb of prints including photos and manuals to build them, started building the bottle counter V3 and the guy just released the V4 I guess I need to make the new too.

      It would be less awesome if it wasn’t Open Source though because it wouldn’t have all these community made adapters/tools, and it would be far less accessible.

    • @cogspace
      @cogspace ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great idea. There are already a few flavors of interlocking 3d-printable D&D terrain out there (OpenLock comes to mind) but Gridfinity adapters would be great for organizing and storing the blocks when not in use.

    • @benjaminmiddaugh2729
      @benjaminmiddaugh2729 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cogspace It could also work quite well with foam terrain tiles (either carve the grid pattern into the bottom of the tiles or print a base that interlocks with the grid and acts as an under-layer for the tile).

    Hey Zack absolutely epic once again. I think you or someone in the community should design a standard for both the weighted baseplates and standard baseplates to be linked together.
