I printed a Gridfinity out of chocolate and gave it to Brooke for Valentine's Day. Normally I try to add more details here in the description, but that kinda sums it up. I came, I saw, I ate a boat.

I'm pretty sure I'm the first one who printed a chocolate gridfinity bin. Posted it in the discord and no one really reacted to it. The CocoaPress discord lost their minds over it
Omg we totally missed it! We're monsters! Our bad, sorry friend! 😬
Heh, goes to show that popularity and branding does do all of the work...
Shhhh, no you didnt. Zack is always the first
That's Cool
1. You're a badass
2. Pretty sure he specified that he was the first to do it for V-day. You both may have your firsts!
Sticky oregano should be possible to infuse into palm oil so you can make 3d-printable sticky oregano chocolate! 🌿
the possibility of 3d printed edibles just blew my stoner mind wide open, we need this now!
@@gothtechsupport2337a 3d printed bud-infused chocolate dab rig that you eat after using
I need edible edible benchys like NOW. If we can get some good working prototypes that might honestly push me to get the chocolate press.
"This print ain't shit"
@@connman9783 The grand benchy of demonetization !
As a pastry chef in-training, listening to you discover how fiddly chocolate is was a delight. Fun fact: the door to the chocolaterie of a bakery always. stays. closed damnit. If you let it stay open you mess around with the humidity, temperature, airflow... Can't have that.
Also damn filling those chocolates was a stroke of genius.
Oh and I'm pretty sure you might be able to make your own chocolate cores if you can figure out the fat content of the original cores.
@@fableagain There's gotta be a relatively simple density method to get a ballpark on the fat content, right?
thats why you have a two door system, like a cleanroom
does it have a double door?
"Suspiciously sticky oregano" is my new favorite euphemism for that green stuff that gets you demonetized
I'll be honest, I don't know what that would be lol

oh i SO badly want to see a torture toaster printed in chocolate
You're really bad at disguising yourself, Satan.
Man this sucks *chomp*
This comment makes me want to buy a cocoa press for this exact purpose
Oh my god…

14:11 "This was a real pain in the butt, so it's very important you're proud of me!"
Ah yes, the desire to have hard or difficult work at least appreciated never ceases and is all too often ignored
It's important to note that Brooke's hair is spectacular before anything else.
You're a good dude Zack.
I feel like the fridge model still has a lot of promise with professional kitchens/bakeries. Compound chocolate is more stable, and it can taste good, but chefs/bakers can be pickier when it comes to taste.
I'm not sure why but I cannot stand compound chocolate, it physically makes me sick. So I'd love one that was built in a fridge. I was thinking, what if you had a fan blow a stream of supercooled air (from liquid nitrogen or something) at the chocolate in a regular enclosure, rather than fridging the whole thing?
It did seem like a great design, just hard to get people to get (ie momentum/reputation is hard to get from nothing) and/or the market isn’t *too* huge.
I would 100% have one or more in my Dream *Giant* Makerspaces’ Culinary (or Confectionery?) Section.
@@KingJellyfishIIThis has me imagining a Continuous Inkjet Printer but with Dipndots instead of Ink Droplets lol.
Now I wish there was UV-reactive candy syrup so we can have MSLA candy printing along with our FDM chocolate
Any way to control how sugar crystallizes? I am *thinking* of something like a Cloud Chamber or Bubble Chamber, but idk if Sugar can be supersaturated like that and/or be able to be initiated by UV Light (or Ionizing Radiation in General)
Could always CNC Mill a Sugar Cube
WAIT Binder Jetting, or as i like to call it “Powder Bed and Inkjet Head” (aka PBJ Printing) could work potentially
Also one of those Open Source SLS Machines used Sugar if i remember correctly, granted didn’t have the best resolution, also probably partially burns/caramelizes due to being a thermal process.
"UV-reactive candy" is not a string of words I expected to read today but here we are
For the record, that albinoblacksheep reference *did* make me feel old.
Same.. 😑

8:33 bold of you to assume no one has eaten a gridfinity box before.
Underrated comment, you have attained the humor award.
Your wife: ok I get it, gridfinity everything 😂
And yeah we all know that feeling with only 3dprinting has on us 😅
Another fun fact about the Cocopress - it's based on the Voron 0, so it's very fitting that it's a fast printer
I'm just waiting for this thing to result in a collab with Anne Reardon that culminates in wasabi chocolate and submerging the printer into everclear.
"You can fascinate a lady by presenting her with a piece of cheese"
The only cannon Wonka origin story we need.
now thats a valentine gift i can get behind, a heart attack amount of chocolate
That was by far the best promotional advert I've seen on this platform and the endorsement of the cocoa press was 👌
They should send you surprise supplies, enough to print the first multi part, mega size, over designed easter egg perhaps?
Well played, Sir. Well played!
14:30 I knew your head was full of pop rocks!
That is a magnificent calibration of such a hard 3d printer! I have seen other prints of cocoa press and none are so exact and well-shaped as your prints.
Experience makes perfect.
RAHHH I LOVE MEN.. I MEAN CHOCOLATE

I LOVE COCK. I MEAN CHOC
@@lem860 everyone likes chocolate i guess
Shoutout to the science polycule
Are you really in a polycule if there isn't a scientist from a mysteriously-niche field in it too?
Zack, I am simultaneously disappointed and very impressed with you
insert spongebob chocolate meme here
This is honestly one of the best Valentine's Day ideas I've ever seen! Chocolate is amazing, handmade stuff is amazing, and so therefore handmade (well, self-printed) chocolate is such an amazing and thoughtful gift for a couple to enjoy together. Good stuff!
Still the best scriptwriter on TH-cam. And yes, I want alliterations!
I'm subscribed to her personal channel and she hasn't posted in a while so I was getting worried the launch hadn't gone well, but I guess she's just super busy. Awesome sauce.
Open sauce is the awesomest sauce
I'm proud of you. Her joy was worth all the hard work
This is my favorite! So impressed by the final product. Happy Valentine's Day Brooke and Zack!!! ❤❤❤
I am immensely pleased to learn I'm not the only person who eats conversation hearts outside of valentine's day. they're honestly my favorite non-chocolate candy! I too always explain it as: they're like a pack of just the good necco wafer candies, without the garbage :D
It's like eating tasty chalk. I mean this in a positive way.
I am super proud you did the mid print chocolate color swap!
This will come great for easter where I can finally have chocolate eggs with exactly 25% infill.
that feeling when you drop the punchline "they're custom made 3 perimeter 25% infill eggs" hell yeah
I'm very proud of you, Zack! I hope you and Brooke have a great valentine's day.
Hey, really proud of you for the filled grid pucks, Zack! Hope you and Brooke had a lovely Valentine's!
This is truly the best use for a chocolate printer
Now I need one
Same.
we are always proud of you! this is awesome
You should definitely make a cursed filled gridfinity. Do one with mustard, ketchup or chili sauce.
Best roundabout I've gotten stuck in.
I come to learn about tech, 3d printers etc.
But I always learn things like new vocabulary and in this one, I learn about chocolate and learn how chocolate chips keep their shape even through cooking!
15:08 the sound of the shot being taken reminded me of epic meal time
8:06 "then it hit me, ive printed alot of crap on this channel"
missed opportunity to print cocacrap n eat it
6:07 😂 calling out people before they even can start! 😂😂😂
Fun fact: the mars company has a specific ratio of m&m colors that they claim to follow, and they aren't lying. My high school statistics class did a chi-squared analysis that found that there was a chi-square value of about 70, which means there is no statistical difference between the observed and expected values.
I mean, that’s not really surprising at all
Wow, that 2-tone chocolate is very impressive! Proud of you Zack
I'm proud of you Zack, that was a really amazing two chocolate print
I'm always struck by the writing in your videos. Great jokes and in depth descriptions of technical topics. 👍👍👍
I'm proud of you Zack! 😁
I was at this Rep Rap, and loved being near this booth because it smelled delicious.
The world needs a chocolate 3D printer doing this
My days have been pretty rough for the past few weeks. Thank you for putting a smile on my face (without the need of a knife and being dressed like a psycho clown ).
Your videos never fail to make me smile. Thanks for continuing to make such fantastic content
Dude.. All that planning and dedication, and response was "it's all so organized!!" 😂
3d printing, twice!
And if you fertilize corn, you can turn it into PLA and continue the cycle!
This is freaking amazing. A true mad genius.
Best review of the Cocoa Press! Probably should have saved the ice cream for last🤣
love the joints and container
I'm going to need to build one of these!
It’s hilarious he can get through so much alliteration and crazy supporter names and then stumble on just “Michael”
as my mom is backer i have shown here sine food 3d prints... both chocolate and sugar form some trade show coverages...
but it seems that chocolate 3d printing is soon becoming a real thing in culinary world
Waiting for Reese's to start making STLs and docs for DIY peanut butter cups
also 14:10 congration i'm impressed (i really hope you got them on the right ones)
*You wouldn’t download a Reese’s*
(Also Sidenote i read that in the voice if those annoying ads all over TH-cam done by the goddamn *Bojack Horseman VA* ) (And the Irony of them Voicing Ads now is just…)
Wow that's really cool, good job.
Now make an edible circuit board.
I'm proud of you Zack. Good work.
Lots of my favourite things....a Zach Freedman video, chocolate, 3D printing, and love for the Mrs.❤
I'm proud of you, you got any extra cones of CO's finest nothing? Sharing is caring!!
I love this video, I laughed so many times, and honestly a little blown away by the gridfinity filled cups! (and I love yall's love of purple)
I haven't heard "Albinoblacksheep" in over a decade. Thank you.
Those 3d printed "Peanut Butter Cups" actually look good af.
Like if you would eat.
Can confirm, were delicious
That Maxamet PM2 looks really knice. Mine likes to patina like crazy just from being in my pocket, I wish it would stay that shiny and clean.
I am so proud of you. Really well done 👍
4:25 I felt that second 'ever'
Anyone who has a hobby has felt the despair/disappointment when someone they care about has no excitement or caring about their hobby thing
This crushes my damn hopeless romantic self so frequently goddamn.
Granted you know the whole “perfect doesn’t exist” and how all that is part of just life and whatnot but this gets me all Hedgehog Theory / Lonely feeling and shit.
MAJOR oof
@@ericlotze7724 I feel you

I am very proud of you for your efforts in making fancy white chocolate lettered nameplates for your stupid awesome filling filled chocolate Gridfinity boxes. 💜
man I love this channel
"Excoriate me daddy" is something I did not need to hear. Thanks!
+1 for the link to the Gridfinity Parametric Web Generator and +100 to Vector76!
I literally binged this channel yesterday cause I realised I'd never watched a some of the videos... Love this timing.
We need more alliteration.
Super proud of you!
very proud of you for the dual color chocolate Zach. Very smart man, very good at engineering
You two are such a cute couple and this was just a cool project overall.
I’m hungry now… and my lunch isn’t for like 90 minutes… and it doesn’t have chocolate organizers…
My pride knows no bounds for your chocolate abilities.
Thanks! You are f***ing hilarious as well as informative and uh, kinda weird...but not in a scary "stranger danger" kinda way.
You want a cocojet (Hersey and 3d cude collab) 3d printer. I got one collecting dust since I can not find the time to hack the thing to working order.
This is absolutely amazing dedication
14:11 Very proud of you, Zack. You can have an extra hour on the Xbox.
Don’t worry Zack we’re proud of you.
Also pretty happy to see the plastic printer in the video! That was my baby for a while!
I would’ve loved when you showed brook she said “ooh a piece of cheese!”
Putting filling in the cubes was a top tier idea
As someone who absolutely adores necco wafers, that description is spot-on
Neco Wafers... wow, thats a deep candy cut. Love your videos!
Absolutely brilliant!
I’m so proud of you Zack!
Best video of the year..across the maker world! Well done and funny AF!
Love comes in all shapes and sizes, and is equally as tasty
also holy shit those cups look sick as fuck
also the cheese of discombobulation
I never conceived of a chocolate 3d printer. But now that I know of it I'm kind of surprised they didn't mastered printing chocolate way before figuring out plastics. This machine could take easter to a whole new level.
You broke me with nostalgia for albino black sheep. I need to tell my children about this
The bambulab joke running pla @ 295 was so funny to me
This project and the entire video are pure genius!
14:10 Soooo…We need a Prusa Toolchanger-Cocoa Press Mod is what you are saying…
(That and/or some of the Fully Open Source Toolchanger Designs/Standards that are out there)
Also maybe nozzle (or just toolhead) for the Fillings?
You two are lovely and this is a great thing you have done!
