    Every video showing this was like, 5+ minutes long and full of talking.
    this one was straight to the point. Fast, but I can always slow it down. Gonna be handling this here in a week or so, so I appreciate this video, Dack.

    At first I slowed down the video 50 % to make sure I saw everything correctly. But then you sounded so drunk that I couldn't stop laughing and saw nothing cause of the tears.
    Great voice in normal speed, quick and easy video, love it! Thank you for making this!

    My kinda video. Short, sweet, to the point, mildly annoyed. Why am I dumb enough to have to watch this? That's the vibe, and I'm here for it.

    You should try phase-change material Honeywell PTM7950. It comes in as a sheet, lasts longer, performs works better than traditional pastes and there is no pump-out effect. For the power section (vrm) and vrams, I advise you to apply Upsiren UX Pro thermal putty.
    It is also a good idea to do undervolting.

      Thanks for the advice! I will definitely check it out, I am always looking for better ways to do things!

    Does it need to be warmed up first like cpus? Also are all gpus like this when opening? My pny 2070 super triple fan (not xlr8) is so unknown i can't find the exact video for the card

      Not sure what you mean by warming up the cpu but no you do not need to heat anything to replace the thermal paste. Yes the majority of GPUs are like this. They are just a board with the processor chip and ram attached to a heat sink. Some use passive cooling (no fan) or active cooling (fan or liquid cooling block). The thermal paste transfers the heat from the chips to the heat sink so it can be dispersed.

    Can I use isopropyl 70% alcohol for cleaning?

    • @dackselectronicrepair
      @dackselectronicrepair  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it just takes longer to dry because it has more water content.

    Even though you can make out what is being done it would be better if the video wasn't so fast

    Do you have any idea what thickness those pads are?

      No, sorry

    • @WinarisWinnower
      @WinarisWinnower ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dackselectronicrepair well we want to know the thickness please. because a normal thermal paste reapplication isnt enough, we need to know the thickness

    • @dackselectronicrepair
      @dackselectronicrepair  ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as the pads are not damaged thermal paste on the gpu chip is enough.
