Stephanie, you were too funny. Make that quilt for your mom! I think I have that pattern...

I thoroughly enjoyed your video. The best part was when you said “No Guilt” for starting a new project. Whew! I’m so glad you released my guilt for me.😂😂😂😂 I too have the storage containers like yours with my material and patterns just patiently waiting. I bought some at Michaels that are white. The best buy was the 5 pack at Costco for 19.99. They are all different colors. I recently told someone that I need to get to those projects but I keep seeing something new that I want to make either in email, Instagram, Facebook or TH-cam so they still sit on the shelf. Well like you said someday it will happen. Thanks for the video.

I have that New York beauty pattern all pieced as well. I hate the fabric now! Couldn’t believe it when you read the date!

Another great video. I was excited to see the clear bins. I do the same but put labels on the outside because I have memory problems.

I keep my fat quarters in the 6" scrapbook boxes and stacked in my closet on shelves. It keeps the fabric out of the sun and no dust gets to them. I use different size heights for projects too. Love them! 💙

I was looking for a box like those just last week. I didn't realize they were actually bigger than 12 X 12 so had passed on them. Now I need to revisit that decision. Thanks

Someone at a quilting class showed me to use these for keeping blocks. I need to buy more. I may have to put 2 together when I have the backing, too. I need to do this. I also need to get rid of some material I’ll never use. I’m trying to complete UFOs this year. 🤞

I have a lot more UFO's, both quilting and garments. I have a couple of the same patterns too😃!! Finish the Christmas quilt for your mother this year xxx

I love those purple batiks! And I also use the scrapbook boxes! Great way to keep projects together.

Stephanie your timing could not have been better!!! I've been trying to tackle and re-organize my own ~30-year-old fabric "hoard" lately, too. I even have a bunch of those same containers from Michael's that you use, and now I have a better idea of how to use them. Thanks!

I use similar scrapbook boxes by Artbin, same size and they have a handle

I love the New York Beauty blocks! I'm just starting my quiting journey and have been looking for New York Beauties patterns and tutorials. I would love to see you tackle the garment sewing! I have the same bins but they are stuffed! You are good at the one project one bin organizer.

Hi Stephanie, I really enjoyed today's video, it was different and it is cool to see other's people UFOs, even the ones for sewing garments. When I go to quilting retreats I usually take 2 to 4 projects depending how long its the retreat (one per day), I like to take for sure 1 or 2 UFOs and something new to start, that way I am happy getting something old done and happy to start something new :)

That’s funny because I have the same New York beauty quilt in a tub that I need to pair down to a project tub. Thanks so much for inspiring me.

This is maybe my favorite video ever. I love going through your stash with you, lol. I don't have nearly this kind of collection, but I am going to get some of those bins. 😀

I'm a historical costume seamstress, so this method wouldn't work for me, but I love the efficiency! I use white ikea bins & wooden dressers to keep all the colors/textures from distracting me

Are you going to do a stashing with video for June or July?

    • @QuiltAddictsAnonymous
      @QuiltAddictsAnonymous  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes I will do a video for June and July! We do a tutorial every month and a quilting video, and if we can we love to do a video with the fabric designer. Happy to hear you enjoyed this video!

Had to laugh at this destash session, my UFO stacks are pretty similar, and even older. I've got stuff to make for my children who are now middle aged!!! Even my grandchildren are too old for those projects. Thanks for making me laugh at myself and get rid of my own UFO guilt!

Is the height of the boxes 3", 2", or 1"? Thank you for the information. This is a great idea.

I’m wanting to start sewing garments again. Did you make your top? That’s the style I’m wanting to make. Thanks for the inspiration to tackle some destashing.

That is wonderful! I did not make this particular top, but I have made others for myself! Good luck with your sewing! So happy to hear you found this video helpful and inspiring!
