Hi! Are you aware that the memorial was in the early days erected in KL town near the national mosque and the train station !? I guess in the 60s they shifted to the spot where it is today! Actually I don't really agree of this shifting ! And just add on...... Did you know the entrance of Central Market where it's a car park now was 2 row of colonial shop back to back. And the row facing the main road has round arch on the entrance of each shop!(beautiful). The side of Central Market was a wide road for parking,a walk way and access ! But they narrow the side road and make it only a walk way which was hardly used! Otherwise the front of Central Market will have beautiful colonial building for cafe, retailer, restaurant, hostels, souvenir shops, offices, ...etc!! So sad they makes a harsh permanently wrong decision planning!!! It always happen!

Best time to go trekking into forest is first thing in the morning (from 7am onwards). Going there at noon or afternoon can be very hot. A bit later in the afternoon is okay (maybe around 4 to 6) but after 6 is when the mosquitoes usually come out to feed. Bring LOTS of bottled water with you because it can get pretty humid and hot so you will lose a lot of water through sweating. Wear hiking shoes or walking shoes that has a bit of traction. Not a bad idea to spray yourself with some mosquito repellent spray before starting your trek. In this particular place, as the trails are somewhat quiet, it's best to let someone know that you are going for a trek there (if you are going there by yourself), just to be on the safe side.

Hey, much better, other than you don't have the treetop walk on these trails. It is bigger, and are two trails, with a third coming soon, I think.

Hi Darren, I would recommend Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) in Kepong. Really near to Hartamas. Can get Grab to go there. I like to hike there because of the beautiful trees and it is different because the trees is old.
