Thomas Jefferson's Agrarian Democracy

A lecture on Thomas Jefferson's advocacy for an agriculturally-based economy as opposed to Alexander Hamilton's promotion of a manufacturing economy. The lecture relates Jefferson's "agrarian" ideas to the ideas of contemporary agrarian and erstwhile Burkean conservative Wendell Berry, with an emphasis on what this all means for democratic citizenship.
