@@GaryGough cheers cocker, you dried out yet? 😂👍
Mali, you are truly unique in so many ways. Your personality shines through in your videos, making them really special. I admire your honesty and big-heartedness, in addition to the high-quality content you create. You absolutely deserve all the recognition. Wishing you all the best!
@@hramakrishnaiah413 such a kind comment, thank you so much for taking the time to watch and leaving such a big kind comment😍🙏 take care, stay well.
Your Uncle was an 'extra' in Danger Mouse ... he was a bit of a character !
Of course you're a communicator, both visually and verbally. You're the Brian Blessed of Landscape Photography THE LANDSCAPES ALIVE ! 😊😁😆
@@iainmc9859 funny bugger lol haha that took me back. I was always more of a fan of David Bellamy 😂 thanks Iain 😂👍
Mali, I really love how you bring us back to the fundamental reason why we take photographs, whatever the genre. Photography should be fun and you radiate that with your infectious enthusiasm. Thank you for another inspiring video.
@@jumpingjohn280459 thank you, very kind and big thanks for leaving a comment. Sithee 👍
What a wonderful way to spend half an hour. Thought-provoking and insightful, Mali. Yet another joyful video, it was also great to see Jay again.
@@keitharmitage7588 thank you Keith, very kind and I’m so glad you enjoyed it 😍👍
Loved this, Mali. I might be wrong, but personally, I see you one of the most humble photographers on YT. You call a spade a spade and are a complete natural when it comes to providing content. So, apart from your wonderful atmospheric photos, it’s why I watch you, and it’s so lovely to see the English woodlands instead of the untidy eucalyptus forests we have around us❤🇦🇺
So very kind and means a lot to me. Lots more to come and to know you get something from my wanders and chatter makes me keep on keeping on. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for creating and sharing ❤🙏✌️👊✌️🙏❤️
@@gingerspoons6078 thank you for watching and dropping me a kind comment 😍👍
The thing is Mali, with your videos, it's not just the photography, although that would be enough, but it's also your personality, and your passion for what you do that shines through! Then of course there's that wonderful accent of yours. And the banter, did I mention the banter? 😂😂
Well, ego and comments like this don’t go hand in hand, so kind. Thank you so much for watching and dropping such a kind comment 😬😍👍
That was a great film Mali with a really strong message. The documentary was fabtastic too. Good luck with the Scotland workshop. I’m back there for a week in October and can’t wait.
Very kind, thanks so much Simon for the best wishes, so excited for it now! Only a few weeks away. Have a great trip yourself and will look forward to seeing what you create, stay safe.
Wow what a fantastic job Josh and Jay did on that video, I think I've said before it's not just your photography , it's your sense of humour and the ability to connect with your audience 👌👍👍👍
You’ve been with me since the beginning, thank you Brian, so many kind words. 👍
Top photography again Mali…. Fully worthy of your own film crew…
@@smiffy5467 haha yea that was bonkers getting filmed. Thank you so much for watching
Watched it all now …”without worrying too much if they get it wrong” . That is wonderful
Very kind, I'll take sir :)
Great video and many thanks 😊, but all credit goes to you Mali Davies for inspiring us all, and the many years ago the Mali Davies Photography meets ups. Meeting so many like minded people, and Jay Gilmour , It was his brain child and the craft he puts into his editing. Still love to learn and watch how it's done. That's day was such a pleasure to watch two passionate creatives one of photography and one of film, and to be a small part of it I'm very grateful to you both ❤️
@@joshcarrick so very kind but I’m still blown away by the video and to share it in this way means so much, Raytheon comments. Thanks for everything Josh! Keep well and I’ll sithee 😍👍
G&T Sofa Friday night watching Mali do his thing absolutely loved it! Nothing like Mali in the woodland Stunning images ❤
Thank you and sounds like a Good Friday night was had, the G&T not watching me lol 😂
Open and honest. Great work Mali. Keep em coming.
Thank you very much, very kind and lots to come
One of the best postings from you Mali, how true.
I go out and shoot for the pleasure it gives me and if I don't get any images, what does it matter, you are out in nature, otherwise I would just be at home by myself. Out and about it's amazing the little interactions you have with people, either just a nod as you walk past or a talk as they are interested in what you are doing.
Its a saying that get banded about a lot but heck its good for my mental health in my senior years.
Keep up the excellent work, one day I might even book a 1to1 with you and see if I can steel a bucket of your enthusiasm 👍
@@philn1957 a very kind message! Thanks Phil, I have spare buckets lined up in various woodland locations for you 😂👍
Loved that mate, awesome to see what you wrre creating while i was filming! Those first two images after the film sing to my heart!
@@JayGilmourMedia from the day to today, your video has had a profound affect on me, it’s changed me, we should be thankful and be grateful always, I can’t thank you enough for giving me this insight into myself, a mirror that shows me more than myself but the people who have been with me in my life and this adventure we do each day. Too bombing 😍👍 I’ll sithee soon.
Always a thoughtful point or two in every woodland wander. 👍I’ll say a point or two so your ego don’t get carried away 😂
@@wednesdaythroughthelens830 haha 😜 thank you Martin 😍👍
I found this video rather moving. Your photographic (and life) journey and attitude to both have profoundly influenced me. I have been an amateur photographer for over 50 years but considered most of my images of little artistic value or worth. After spending time with you I have a new mental approach and have started to make images that please me and stop worrying about what others think about them and I am increasingly pleased with the images I make and I think I am even (dare I say) developing my own style.
So you are a great communicator and I thank you for communicating your enthusiasm to me.
@@bernym4047 this means a lot Berny, job done indeed! To say profoundly is massively kind. I’m just over the moon your enjoy it so much and you can really see it! Especially it’s for you and no one else but the aesthetic still shines. Thank you Berny
You are one of the most down to earth and at the same time a talented individual Mali and the Path Less Travelled is a wonderful production that encapsulates all that you are. It’s also a marvellous testimony that will serve to inspire others who follow in your footsteps. Nice touch with Tony in the video and a sad reminder to cherish and live life when you can
@@scotty4418 this means so much Jim, a huge comment! Lost for words. Thank you my friend. Take care and keep on shooting your awards are growing and you images are flowing, stunning creativity from yourself.
I enjoyed that Mali thanks for sharing,
@@stevenwhite921 thanks for watching 😍👍
This resonated with me in so many ways. I'm happiest when I'm with my own family or out talking pictures. I try and combine the two as often as possible and when that happens you won't find a happier man. I love your words in this. I really admire your mindset and enthusiasm. You should have more confidence in yourself because from these videos alone you come across as a special person. Great photographer to boot as well.
A huge kind comment, thank you so much for taking the time to watch and leaving this comment.
What a lovely and inspiring episode. I hope your workshop is sold out and you will have a cracking time.
Big thanks, all sold up and will hopefully be releasing next years adventures.
Brilliant as always Mali, loved the montage, especially some of the older images and looking at how young you all look, had a giggle at one or two I have to say.
Big thanks Brian, haha Jay did an incredible job making the path less traveled, and always good to look back now and again. Take care and stay well pal, you’ve been a huge supporter for years and it’s fecking very appreciated 👍
Hey Mali. Good to see you continuing to grow and have other people recognise that. Catch up soon. Ewan
Thank you Ewan, great to see you pop up, hope you’re very well and out and about. Take good care, sithee soon 😍🙏
Mali, hello. No... you don't know me lol. Just stumbled on your channel. What have I been missing? I am almost 62 years of age, and photography has been a very part time hobby for me. I can't wait to retire, get up in the morning, grab my camera... and just go. Thank you, Mali, I look forward to watching more of your videos.
@@richmatlock9643 thank you for watching Rich, hope you get out a lot more before retirement. 😁👍
@MaliDaviesPhotography I'm not as eloquent as you. Is it possible to start and grow a TH-cam channel just showing my photos?
Great stuff Mali, as always. You are at your best in my humble opinion when you let your eyes and brain just decide. from your Klimt Birches to your master of mood on the moors and in the mountains. It's called unpretentious talent, thanks for sharing...

Thank you very much Simon 👍
I was looking back at images taken with my first camera, a simple Fuji film - quality and not really bettered by the digital age.
Great video and inspiring words.
@@geoffbatchelor4833 very kind thank you Geoff
Again great video and relate so much to the words
You are such a great inspiration to many people but I can only say how inspirational you have been to me. You simply make me want to go out and take photos
You have a natural way with words and you project that enthusiasm so well.
But you miss one vital thing and it’s probably something you can’t say your self
Your photography is awesome
Keep at it mate love your work
Bloody hell Keith! This is going on my headstone! 🪦 very kind bud. That really means alot to me, especially the photography because there are so many, many incredible photographers! Including yourself. Thank you Keith

Don't believe that Gustav Klimt ever visited these woods though - it's just that one of his more famous works was of Birch trees, without their lower trunks
@@hjones451 love Klimt. Thank you
Hi Do you use your phone to record these vlogs ? If so is the front facing camera that good ! Tried it on mine and it was rubbish, but your set up looks great, simple , lightweight and direct. Regards Tony Higginson is missed for sure .
Hello, yes I switched back to using my phone after many fights with cameras ND filters and GO pros, I still use a go pro but only a small amount. All my blogs are now recorded on my iPhone 15pro max, love it. For run and gun and using wireless mics it’s perfect for me. Thank you for watching and thank you for the kind words.
Thanks
