I had the G915, I didn't like it. I found it a bit mushy. Aside from all the nice extras in the box, this seems quite similar to the ROG Azoth that they released last year (the main difference seems to be that base plate adjustment switch on the base of the board). Looks like a nice KB. It's like you said, price wise it's catering for the other end of the market. Nothing wrong with that.
The G915 and G915 TKL is a low profile board while the Azoth, both original and this one, use normal full size switches, they truly 2 opposites in regards to keyboards. While this one is very expensive the original is about half the price or less and still a very nice board and the snow switches are quite nice. I did use a 915 for a while but wore off all the legends from the keys in a couple of months and then went back to normal size keyboard.

got it a few days ago, the snow switches are amazing, nevertheless i changed them with geon raptor extremes..
