British Railways 2024-Hatfield, Dudding Hill, Stratford, Waterloo & Finsbury Park Class 20, 66 & EMU

It's September 2024 and i'm back in London. On this upload we see a good variety of action at Hatfield, Dudding Hill Junction, Stratford, Waterloo and Finsbury Park. The highlight being a pair of Balfour Beatty class 20s at Dudding Hill. Other classes seen are 66, 221, 345, 375, 376, 378, 387, 465, 707, 717, 720 & 756 with operators Anglia Railway, DB Cargo, Freightliner, Great Northern, Grand Central, London Overground and South Eastern. I used to use Hatfield station on occasion when I was at the Uni of H. It was a right dump. I much preferred Welwyn G.C.

When I was in the RN and used to travel from HMS Collingwood to Hatfield by Southdown Coaches,the wait for a train from Hatfield to Peterborough seemed interminablel. I think there was a pub just outside the station entrance useful when there was snow on the ground.

Nice selection! That grand corner entrance at Waterloo was until relatively recently just an open hole that the wind used to whip through, known as "Pneumonia Corner" for many years.

Yes, i was there with a friend who was taking photos..... Funnily enough, 25 years ago, i used to sign the road along here and all along the MML to Leicester..... happy days!
