I noticed that while BlackStone says not to use the griddle with the lid down, as if it were a BBQ grill. I wondered how many people do use it that way. To me it makes no sense putting a lid on a grill or griddle if you can't use it in the food prep. Thank you for showing us that it can be used and doesn't harm the griddle in the process.
I don't really use the lid too much and never at a super high heat so I haven't had a problem with it. It's usually to melt some cheese. Thanks again...

I received a 22 inch Blackstone as a gift on June 21, 2024. While assembling the unit a problem arose. Due to a manufacturing defect the grill would not fit onto the grill body. I notified customer support on the same day. They requested pictures of the problem which I sent that day. FOR ALMOST TWO (2) WEEKS I HEARD NOTHING FROM BLACKSTONE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. THEN AFTER TWO WEEKS THEY WANTED MORE PICTURES!! I responded that they had all the pictures they needed and should quit the runaround and send me the part! Today is July 8th and still nothing from them! They have the WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT OF ANY COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH AND I AM IN MY 70s!!! Good luck if you ever buy anything from this company!!
Thanks for the comment. Yeah that was early last year and if you see any of my recent videos you will see I've done a complete 180 with regards to what I eat. I've lost 65 pounds this year. Now it's only olive oil or avocado oil. With that being said I do realize I still cook foods that are not the most heart healthy but that's what people want to see on the Blackstone.
