@@dreamof_endless , kaveh incident literally affected like 0,001% of playerbase. It was so rare that people began to question if it was even real before they announced they are fixing it and reverting changes made by the bug for individuals affected.
The performance issues were pretty bad during my playthrough. Having these ESPECIALLY on launch can really sour the game for a lot of players. I just logged off and thought to wait for a statement which came wayyy sooner than I expected. Good on them!
99.99% of games have these issues at launch. It's not that deep. Elden Ring was unplayable at launch, nows it's considered one of the best games ever.
What was the bug that prompted the free 10 pull? I know it has stuttering and various other bugs but what specifically was this for?
@@zap7737 There’s nothing that deep that I’m talking about. Elden ring is actually my favorite game, and a bad launch doesn’t put me off of a game either, but I remember seeing so many people complain about the game, refund it, etc.. because of the performance issues!
But Elden ring’s was a little egregious, I’ve had friends with better PCs than me have a really bad time.

Ong the pc graphics are disappointing and the 120fps getting removed is annoying
same and i can't get it to fix tp-ing to somewhere and back seems to fix the current problem but it will still happen somewhere else or with new npcs
For some reason for me the character’s weapons or models keep getting stretched or distorted which is not that bad, but it’s just funny
@@flytelp github has the unlock file for 120 fps & they downgraded the graphics. i still have access to the private server.. kinda dissapointed. maybe someone can bring back those graphics !
the other thing people need to remember is the game JUST released (not even 24h ago either). so every launch is gonna usually come with some bugs, esp if there's upto 30mil people playing at once.
There isn’t even close to 30m people playing at once. They hit 30m preregisters over a long period of time, there isn’t even close to 10 million CCU. 30M would make it one of if not the biggest game in the world in terms of CCU
Yea today it’s been really buggy but it’s probably because it’s like the first day of release so I’ll wait until the start of next week

My goodness I absolutely hate this typical whiteknight logic. This is the freaking FULL RELEASE of the game. They already had multiple betas to gather feedback and fix issues. This is now the FULL LAUNCH. Why are people so fine with games being released messy, unoptimized and unpolished. What was the point of betas then??

I never expected perfection from Kuro. Hell they still have typos in PGR and WuWa. Like damn.
But this is why I respect these devs. They listen AND actually work on it.
I also experienced few performance issues but only on PC. Specifically latency and stutter when opening chests and gathering loot. Now we shall see.
I'm excited to see how they're gonna react to feedback once they get big.
The most ping I would have was anytime I would start a dash. It happened other times too but the dash was the most consistent.

The annoying thing is that I can run Genshin and HSR at high settings on my laptop and play smoothly, while with WuWa i cant even run it on the lowest settings without constant lag everywhere every second.
I can run high settings on my phone for Genshin and HSR lol. Their optimization is top tier
Because both HSR and Genshin was made in Unity Engine which is performance friendly to low end spec.
WuWa was created in UE4 which is notorious for hogging your hardware usage and isn't performance friendly for low end spec, so this is to be expected...
Hopefully they'll iron out the stuttering issue then move on to Texture issue
@@Riley_MDS that's a huge blunder on their part, seems like they didn't think that through.
The texture quality is the main problem here, it's literally the same resolution whether if you have your settings on the lowest end or the highest.
@@Zero_Li24 seeing the unity policy changes recently, it might've actually turned out for the better that kuro used UE4. If they used Unity, Kuro's finances would be affected, in-game shop price will go up, they'll find a way to make you spend and they also won't be as generous with the compensation. Atleast with UE4 it'll get better in time as they continue the patches, with Unity it might actually be worse as time goes by lmao.

Optimization has been pretty awful on my end. Although I can run the game on Advanced settings smoothly, that is only after having the game open for 30-50 minutes already. It freezes for 10 minutes straight on the menu, and when loading into the game, its another 10 minutes of borderline 10FPS

the game stutters a lot when you start it, then, the map begins to render properly and most of the lag is gone but that takes like 5 - 10 mins just to play at 50 FPS. I was actually surprised my pc was not running WuWa since i was playing other very heavy games like rdr2 and ER
@@lipefontana415 i understand, they released a new hot fix to improve i just read that, now i even got my 60 fps without any stutter so is def getting better, tho i didnt have issues before but its running better for me.
Its a driver issue, the game memory leaks and after a while your ram becomes so full you cant run it anymore. All we can do is wait for a patch.
I have a very similiar here. The menu lags as hell, and it freezes for a few seconds after doing everything. But afterwards, it runs decently fine.
This is really an amazing reaction from Kuro games there are alleys problems at launch at any livesurvice game hell even some single player AAA games come out needing hot fixes right away the best part along side the 10 pull thou is the instant dev reaction to fixing the problems hopefully people that did had optimization problems can play the game smoothly now. Personally i played it a lot today and had no problems on my end at least for the PC no clue hows on the phone end as this is not a game i would play on my phone.
I like the game quite a lot so far, there are some issues that need to be smoothed out in terms of quality and performance but I believe Kuro will be on top of those as time goes by.

Same, every time a dodge my ping goes to 999 and it stutters and freezes for a couple of seconds
Same here, I play it on my iPad Mimi. Everytime the ping would go up it would stutter then my app would completely close itself on me. Then I have to open it back up and try to get a little further again. Im very much enjoying this game tho.

The issues seem to be more 50/50 than anything. Glad they’re trying to fix things asap, but it might have been a bit too early for the actual release.
It wasn't too early, it would have happened regardless. You need the release, for these things to be stomped out. The massive sample size and variance in people's devices, is only something you get from release and will never happen from Beta. So no, they didn't need to delay release.
But also, I think people forget that a subreddit, lmao, and Twitter, make up a miniscule percent of the playerbase. Don't people are acting like 80% of players can't play lol.

@@zap7737 Most no brain take yet. Hoyo verse games don't release with these insane issues. They are able to fix their games to be proper and ready for full release. They can absolutely use the sample size from betas(multiple betas they've had btw not just one) to make sure the game is properly ready for release. If Kuro is competent, more time would have definitely made a difference.

My Laptop can run GoT and Elden Ring on high/ultra without problem, but overheat, stutter and cannot load assets in Wuwa. This is why we have compensations.
I'm so confused on how this works. We have the same games and I only run them on medium but I can run high on WuWa even tho it isn't my recommended setting. If feel like this is a real life equivalent of 50/50

@@PhuongHoang-cj9jz I'm using a 7600x + 3070ti + 32GB RAM on max settings. I've only experienced stutters and lag at the start of the game. Perfectly smooth after playing for 5 hours.
A lot of Live service games have server issues on launch, as long as they fix it in time we should be fine

Since the hotfix patch ive been stuck loading for 30 minutes and counting (65%)..
The thing which annoyed me was the camera shakes way too much while running to the point that it feels really really annoying like if they fix it i would love it

Honestly expected these things as soon as they announced unreal engine 4 and huge open world in 1 sentence. That combo almost always turns out like this not expecting much if anything from optimisations either.

my biggest problem with the game is that they don't have controller support for mobile, they have it for pc but mine is old and can't run the game smooth, hope they add controller support to mobile soon.

Im in the same exact boat, was super pumped for the game but the closer and closer it got to release i got less excited because i started getting a feeling that it wont have controller support at launch even tho everyone was saying that it would but only for PC (many people were misinforming others that it will have controller support BUT NOT at launch which is where the confusion started for many). And to the surprise of many, the game didnt have controller support for mobile at launch. I would already be putting in so much time into the game right now if it had controller support but since it doesn’t, i honestly dont feel motivated playing it all that much because i hate touch controls for these heavy action oriented games on mobile. My main game on mobile right now is Honkai star rail but that game is turn base so there is zero issues in regards to touch controls for a game like that, if they dont release controller support within a month or two (two is honestly stretching it) i will drop the game unfortunately, im only holding out till then just so i dont miss out on any rewards but if it takes them too long for controller support i will be dropping it entirely and wont come back to it not because i hate the game or the company but mainly because too much time would elapse to the point i would be behind on grinding and rewards that it just wont be worth it after that point. Plus ZZZ is only two months away and other games in general so if this game doesn’t grab my attention with controller support I’ll be moving on to other games.

Game is great and when the optimizations come out it will be perfect. Ive noticed some stuttering when it comes to shader compilation during our first visits of some areas.
Had to overclock my GPU just to reach a steady 60 but its just been so worth so far.
the thing is the game don't have a normal game graphic settings like Textures Grass Quality or more something like that if is have the game might just run better for more pp.
It's not that. I'm at 60fps with 10-40 fps average. It's like every 3s I get a 0.5s freeze.
It's not a grass quality issue. This is a mobile anime game. It's super light. But it has crazy loading issues.
@@Bvic3 it will help a lot if it have .loading issues is Textures use a lot of ram and grass use less but if we have a low settings or true off grass like gta5 it will help a lot of performance. and yes bloom to is so weird this game don't have that. but low on shadow is like true off SSAO is so weird.

And I agree with you that these textures are the ones that are wrecking low end devices, there's no pre loading or anything,it literally loads infront of you, I do believe in kuro and I'm pretty sure patience will fix it
Yep, the thing that I could directly pin point after trying to fix the lags that happened on my side is the rendering resolution of the textures. The texture quality on the low settings seems to be exactly the same with the highest settings. The other thing being the v-ram leaks. Unfortunately, they don't have the options to change the render resolutions, or atleast the texture quality on PC at the moment, like the one that they have in mobile.

@@Risanggita there is resolution option on Android so the game is even running on 4gb ram phone I mean it is lagging but it's way than the sudden freezes and crashes on pc I can slowly progess with the story until they fix it on pc

@@sweetproject6337 The thing is, Genshin was buggy at release. Then they learns from Genshin's release to handle HSR release. Hoyo has experience over these stuff which is unfair to compare Kuro too, that and the fact that Hoyo is backed by tencent while Kuro is a small indie game company.

Yea my shit was lagging like a motherfucker when I was streaming, but I managed to fix it half way through . We even checked other streamers and they weren't having problems so guess I was in the majority. Haven't fully played with the patch, but I'm sure it'll fix my problems. Happy to see Kuro handing out some rewards for technical issues, can't wait to get Sex Monk with the ten pull .

I'm currently away from home so I played on my Ryzen4600 and GTX1650Ti laptop, the only issue was some NPC textures look like playdough. I'm not aware at all of these massive problems

I'm so happy for this. Thank you Kuro Games. I've been experiencing a lot of 999ms lag spikes and it's been really annoying. But damn these guys are quick, I expected them to patch this maybe after a few days but these devs are so cool
bro like even the map lags on genshin and stutter but no one complains cz they know hoyo would never listen
That just shows how devoted and great these developers are. Absolutely blasting through the game (union level 20+ too) as an f2p too even if it shows red ping (legit no major issues I can find) or has minor glitches.

I’m not sure if it’s just my phone, but I had my iPhone 13 for 3 months now, and Wuthering waves currently runs like shit after around 5 minutes of play time, it starts off at 60 fps before declining to 10, which is absolutely awful. Hopefully they get this fix sooner than later or else this may cause backlashes.

For people that are still having frame drops, try playing in fullscreen borderless instead of fullscreen. That fixed it for me
I've have been and still am experiencing the fatal error thing. I've tried a few troubleshoots which didn't work however I'm trusting that it'll be remedied real soon based on this 🙏🏼
I love this game sm, and how the devs handle their game makes me 100% sure this game will be a huge success for long term

I had these issues too. I was wondering why the frame was dropping for something that was supposedly client-side performance. Though it might've been because it installed the game on my D drive. Will try reinstalling it on my SSD.

By performance improvements they mean to say they are lowing graphical settings for all devices . This socks was running at max settings and it looked so good but with the update the graphics have been tuned down especially the resolution

@@abz7800 Been playing at max settings myself and the only apparent thing is that they're throttling load times on textures, but not assets, which explains the quality of the visuals
Giving the game some time to initialize the textures made things go back to looking like usual, at least that was the case for me

I've been one of the lucky ones. No performance issues or crashes.
But the fact they are this fast on issues for a lot of people and fixing them, or trying to asap on the day, is almost unheard of these days.

They actually fixed fsr in under 24 hours so cudos to this small but hardworking team
Optimization of this game was quite horrendous. Kept crashing and freezing. However its launch day so a few hiccups is expected
I've been playing for well over 10 hours and its a bit laggy, im in the lucky side where i dont experience that much issues but my bf that has a laptop with a 4090 16gb of ram experiences a lot of lag issues and crashes. I love how they owned up to it and are fixing it ASAP, this is what players deserve, and Kuro is delivering! Good luck to all of you WuWa players out there, things are looking bright for the future!
This just shows that Kuro is absolutely being responsible and really tries to make a way better game
honestly, the combat and creature collection aspects are so good and fun that even the constant is freezing is fine, like genuinely it was great even at launch
I have a somewhat powerfull pc with i7 11th gen processor and it was consistently dropping frames which is really strange. GPU was fine, not even too charged or anything and still textures were just not loading sometimes making them ugly until i get away from the area and back. Never had any FPS issue with any MiHoYo game, neither did i have it with massive games like starfield or baldurs gate 3 so i was really surprised i couldn't even run this game on 60fps because it would just drop constantly
Still, im having fun with the game, and im excited to get home from work today and play even more. But i do think its good that the performance issue is not something theyre taking lightly because this game has no reason to be that heavy, specially considering its meant to run on phones as well

Major w from the devs. When I started I was facing a bit of framedrops here and there but after the patch it's smooth af.
If the devs keep this good work up I will definitely buy stuff to support them.

It's wonderful to see Mtashed covering Wuthering Waves. I hope he decides to cover it exclusively full time. Wuthering Waves would benefit greatly from high quality content creators like Mtashed and TecTone.
The patch solved my frame rate issues. It was really bad in open world on max settings. Now it’s a flawless experience after the patch. I was pleasantly surprised.
This Fatal error issue is frustrating man, I have all the decent specs, enough for minimum but I still cant enter the damn game...but I'm glad Kuro listens...
I honestly was surprised with Kuro's response time and how quickly they released an announcement. This gives me high hopes on how this dev team will handle communication in the future.
I agree with the outdated devices part. I am using a pretty low end laptop and I have seen performance related issues. Tho I have seen ping issues too but never really malded about it because it is indeed launch and I kind of expected it to be like that

Update: they're now giving us an additional 10 pulls AND a free 5* standard character selector box (no pulls, just a free chosen 5* on top of the one we already get on the beginner banner).

I definitely enjoyed it. I did my first 10x on the select 5* banner using those 10x and Encore was first, so I got my selected 5* with zero pity.
Kurogames is always generous, Genshin could never. Since we started the game, we are using standard pulls, and devs thought that this should be useful. The game just launched, let kurogames cook👍
Tbh thanks for making video on this topic. I feel like it might change a few things during this whole shitstorm on reddit. I feel like most of ex-genshin players are really pessimistic towards their imagined "genshin killer" instead of potential new rival.
Not really, is just that the game has major issues, to the point where some people can’t even play it
I logged out yesterday contemplating whether I should leave WuWa for a few months/patches, logged on a couple hours ago, seen how smooth it started running so I rerolled and got Verina and Danjin I'm so happy I can have a good experience and if controller support ever comes for android then I would seriously consider spending a few quid on it! Kuro Games is known for being generous with their compesations. If its the same as PGR people would look forward to any downtime update.
To all mobile players out there: this game was not meant for Mobile players they focused and target the pc clients only don't bother
The only issue I have is that some text goes overflows the dialogue box and on PC you cant scroll the text
Finally had time to start the game last night. I got 4 5 stars immediately when I unlocked the gacha from all the rewards. It turns out you can get TWO 5 stars from the beginner convene choice banner so I got CR 1 Jianxin and I couldn't be happier.
Wuuuuu Waaaaaa, 10 pulls for a bug, but this is definitely Hoyverse panicking. All the free stuff will fund this company to be the next great thing. Hoyoverse had to launch Genshin 4 years earlier just to stay in competition with Wuwa.
That free 10 pull let me be able to get my selected calcharo at 30 pity. Also the game isnt fully fixed yet

Was lagging with a 4070 but making sure my gameready drivers were up to date solved it entirely. Make sure to check lads, this game is goated
The graphics are so blurry for me, it feels like I'm playing without glasses and I'm on almost the highest settings. I can't even see my characters' faces unless I zoom in
I think Mtashed looks at his metric and confuses "interest" with "people are positive about the game". You can ABSOLUTELY have interest in a game and people hating it simultaneously
For many people the problem actually is theirs mobile/pc systems, wuwa have high minimum requirements for it to work properly, genshin and hsr have less system requirements than wuwa, for an example minimum requirements for ram on pc for wuwa is 16gb, while genshin will run smoothly on a 8gb ram pc, this is bc of the high graphic quality of the game and its being an open world game so the system need to render the world at high quality while we run around in the game.
Honestly I’ve had zero issues on my end and I don’t even have a top tier rig but hey I’ll take the compensation lol.
People are definitely overreacting but with this community I’m not surprised. We’ve seen much bigger devs have similar issues at launch, as long as they’re addressing it and communicating, that’s all I can really ask for.
I feel like they are still working on that optimization, aka downscaling the quality on the mobile but still making it look good, so that most of the mobile players could play it no lag.

I was having login issues and frame rate issue. Usually when a new game releases its not perfectly optimized. But this is a very quick response from their devs.

it was a very weird experience for me, as at first I thought that I won't be able to play the game even on lowes settings cuz the lag was horrible, but then all of a sudden it became fine but most of the textures of the surroundings, NPC's and even playable characters got messed up, so you'd have to wait a couple of minutes for them to load, it was so confusing...
People would have been more forgiving of the issues if they just openly admitted that the release was an open beta instead of an official launch.
That’s the beauty of being an underdog. They knew they needed to do better than Genshin, and they did. In the end, it’s we, the players, who win. So be patient with them and give them the benefit of the doubt. Keep in mind that everything will only get better from here. Have a great time everyone!

I didn't experience any issues and a 10 pull on top. Color me impressed.
I think it's difficult to compare since the problem with wuwa is bigger, since it's day 1 bugs/lags problems and might make them slowly lose new players. Genshin sometimes has some little bugs then they give 100 primos or something like that.
(But I'm still bitter for what they did to Dehya)
They don't have to because they wouldn't have these types of performance issues in the first place.
