      This call was a glimpse into what some of the country has been facing. Too low income and too much debt. He can only live in $10k/year because he is with his roommates. I remember earning less than that the year my grandpa died (2015). That was a net loss year for me. Hope he can turn his life around financially.

      Pavol S I think you are still in age group that you can join military - you have to pass a physical test and not be a psycho --- I wish I would of join the army - it’s hard work but not too bad from what I hear -- if you have mental problems that impair your ability to work --- maybe talk to a Social Security Disability lawyer about seeing what can do to get Disability - the problem with Disability is you will be re-evaluated is periodically and if Soc Sec decides you’re no longer disabled - then you must get a job - there will be no more payments unless you can prove you are disabled - it takes 3-5 years to wait to get disability if you do that route -- and if you take Soc Sec Disability before retirement age -- you will be taking a cut in Soc Sec payments when you retire unless possibly you qualify for Widower’s Disability -- you need to talk to a lawyer who mainly does Soc Sec - to get answers --- ask lawyer about all this. You can possibly get SSDI or SSI if you are mentally or physically Disabled --- I have friends who got SOC sec disability and know what they went through. Other ideas: this is hard but see if you can get into restaurants where they train to cook - start as a dishwasher and work your way up - read people’s comments on this video - lots of good ideas. --- Maybe see if can get hired as an auto detailer - that prob pays more than min wage...... I’m praying Jesus Christ guides and leads and protect you. God Bless ✝️🙏👼💜⭐️🌈

      When you take advantage of an 18 year old kid and lend him over 100k, in some cases, to pursue something you know is generally not going to be fruitful you are engaged in fraud.
      Again, when a mortgage broker just goes around approving loan applications from anyone who asks they are considered corrupt. They need to be jailed, taught a lesson, etc. Yet somehow giving a child (because yes that's what an 18 year old truly is) a loan to go waste money at college is ok?

    Not gon lie. In 2019, this was me. At the end of the year, I was sick of it. Said that was the last year I was ever going to be undisciplined and financially broke. It can happen. 5 years later, and this is going to be the first 7 figure year I’ve ever had (God willing, but even if not, that’s ok! These last few years I hit my first consecutive six figure years! Shxt is really crazy yo!) let alone the first person to do it in generations within my family tree. This shxt is hard fxckin work and not no cake walk at all. It takes a different focus. But I was working just as hard in 2019 doing the wrong shxt. It starts with YOU! I’m grateful. Sending prayers and affirmations for everyone out there to go and make shxt happen. Everything always works out and anything is possible. Much love 🙏🏼

All he has to do is contact them and they will greyhound bus him to their truck school/facility, give him 1-3 weeks of hotel room stay, 2 meals a day and a CDL after 3 weeks and being on a training truck. He needs to go to Tampa truck driving school which will set him up with a trucking company that will sponsor 100% of his CDL cost, plus housing for the 3 weeks of school in Tampa. Then the company will pay for a Greyhound ticket to their main terminal where he will make $400 a week while he's training. Then after 2 months of training he'll start making $60k his first year as a truck driver. That's what pulled me out of the hole after I got laid off from my IT job and found myself barely scraping by driving for Lyft. The best part is that you live rent free in your truck and just save every frickin penny you make.

      The caller may need to get creative with his creative writing degree. He might be better served by doing something online instead of relying on finding a traditional job. He could use his skills to create animated explainer videos, lend his services to marketing companies, create children's videos and books, publish on Kindle, etc. Ambition and personality seem to be holding him back more than his degree.

    • @Alexis-wh2de
      @Alexis-wh2de 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      But the issue isn't necessarily his major. I have friends who were English majors--one is a technical writer, another has her own business marketing company going on 7 years, and another is a librarian and children's author. There is nothing wrong getting a humanity's degree if you know how to translate it to a real world career
      Idk this man's life story, but whatever vision he had for creative writing was either unrealistic or otherwise out of reach for him.
      Edit: Also, two part time jobs can equal full time work. With those hourly numbers and annual salary figure, he isn't breaking 15 hours a week. So, again the issue is more nuanced and complex than "don't go into creative writing or this is your fate" doomsday rhetoric.
