  • It's Friday at the 2022 Isle of Man TT races, time for the second Supersport and Sidecar races, then the blue ribbon event, the Senior TT.
Will Dave get a grid slot for the biggest race of the year? And how will the weather treat the racers?
Our deepest condolences to the Stockton Family for their loss during the Sidecar TT race.
Apologies for the sound quality, it got very windy!
Due to copyright restrictions we're not allowed to record on bike footage :(

Your TT diary has been really special, Dave. It's not often us real road racing fans get to see such an honest record of the daily highs & lows (and all points in between) of racing at the TT: especially as there must've been many times you felt like switching off your camera to manage your own thoughts and feelings. A big THANK YOU to yourself and the team for providing us with an insight into what it's like to prepare for - and race - at the most incredible ribbon of tarmac in the world. Best wishes to you all; and my sincere condolences to the families, loved ones & friends of those that didn't manage to make it home.

I have much respect for all of your knowledge of motorcycles, getting multiple stock bikes race ready, vlogging throughout the TT event weeks, and ultimately for knowing when to get off the bike under your own power. Your content has been as professional as if it were done by film industry personnel.
I love the TT! The Isle of Man is as beautiful as it has always been from my perspective in front of a television. I've dreamed of coming to the TT for many years. A bucket list item that will probably never get checked off as many bucket list items never do but, if I ever do get that chance, I will look for you in the paddock!
Stay safe and thanx for allowing the world to get insight of all that is involved with the most thrilling event on the globe!
Cheers mate, from a fan in Rockwall, TX!

The English residents of the island have been pushing to cancel the TT. Now that it was conveniently a disaster this year the push to cancel it has increased.
There aren’t enough Manx people left to save themselves let alone the TT.
Watch this space for simian boils outbreak here being blamed on TT.

    • @mikew6922
      @mikew6922 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@ThePinkBinks Load of crap! If they ban the TT ( as many Manx have shown an interest) the island won’t be able to sustain itself and the British Government would take charge as is stated “that the island is aloud to be self governing as long as it can be financially self sufficient! This year wasn’t a disaster as you state, it was the most profitable ever! Everyone accepts the deaths on the mainland. Won’t happen in the next ten years!

This is the true spirit of the IOM TT, I admire all the competitors and have great respect for you Dave for ending the race when you did because as you say you live too fight another day. As you said regroup and return next year, all the best to you and your team keep on racing and the videos coming.

Dave, your video diary has been an absolute joy to watch these last few days. You have managed to give a real taste of what it's like to race on the island. Your tributes to those who passed have been very moving. while still making it plain, that to race here is something 'other'.
Thanks for everything and stay young :-)

This series of videos is the missing ingredient needed to present an all-round picture of the TT. For every high-profile rider there are ten dedicated competitors, who don't expect to feature in the headlines but who really embody the spirit of the racing. It's clear that camaraderie, fun, and safety are in the end more important than trophies.

I'm really glad you got it in the senior. Thanks for these videos, you've shown a different and complementary side of the TT from what we see in the official coverage and I've really enjoyed seeing that. It's been a great (if not quite perfectly organised) TT, but also a tragic TT, and you've communicated both sides to us.

Dave and team, I've enjoyed watching your videoed experience far more than all the rest of the coverage put together. I've loved the banter in the pits, the deep reflection of what it means to be a road racer. I can only imagine what it must be like to set off down Bray Hill, but have huge respect for those who do! I'll be watching in the future for sure.

I'm really glad you got to run the Senior. I can't imagine how hard of a decision it was to have to end your run early. You went with your instincts and no one but you knows how that should work. Your videos about the TT and the prep you and the guys did were great. Very informative. Don't beat yourself up too much. You are one of the few to actually get to ride in the TT races. A rare breed you are. Best of luck.

Well done for actually getting to ride in the Senior. Correct decision to come in early if it wasn’t happening. Well done to the team for their efforts. It has been really good to see some behind the scenes action that involves the rank & file riders & not just the top riders. The down side is as always the sad news of fatalities. Best wishes to all their family & friends.

Totally the right call to come in on the Senior race, I'm sure racing round there is not something to be done 'for the sake of it' and if you're not enjoying it then pulling in is the sensible decision. Look forward to the next videos as always!

If anyone could ride in the TT, but no, ... I spent 25 years without a road bike, or any bike. I think, ... I'ld had enough back then. Only this year, after looking over some dual sport bikes and such for quite a long while, I saw a newer version of my old road bike. I could not get enough of dreaming again, until I sat on a new road bike. There will be another day to ride. Godspeed.

Hey Dave. I found one of your Tuono videos completely by chance. As you can maybe tell from the recent comments, I've ended up on a bit of a binge of the channel since then... I had no idea I would find a diary as detailed and as many-faceted as this; you did well covering both the day-to-day, the whole atmosphere of the place, the technical nitty-gritty of running the bikes and also the heavy moral dilemmas. Proper good job! It's what 44Teeth's videolog could have been, but unfortunately that was obviously cut short.
I was at the TT for the first time ever this year and I thoroughly enjoyed both the island, the spectacle of the races and the community amongst the fans and campers. I will have to come back, even though it's a bit of a ride from Denmark.
Had I known of your channel back then I would definitely have come over to say hi, share a can of Kibosh and ask Gary what comes after Glen Helen 😂

Love the fact you show the genuine emotions of the TT from a riders perspective. I know motocross riders that will be physically shaking and their ego won’t let them admit it, they will argue till they are blue in the face that they are not nervous lol. So yeh, love the fact you show the rollercoaster of emotions you go through.

a difficult two weeks and hats off to you and your team Dave, thank you so much for the videos, I made a point of looking out for you, the twin and the big bike sounded awesome on track, you looked so disappointed in the truck at the end but be proud of what you did, four laps in those conditions is amazing, well done. As a spectator when there's a red flag incident my heart sinks and waiting for news is gut wrenching then you here the awful news it's heart breaking, on the Saturday I was so excited for the Senior I felt guilty after what happened on Friday, I can't imagine what it's like as a racer. RIP to those we lost this year. Once again thank you and well done.

Did you have fun then dave apart from the losses, it's a hard pill to swallow, but it's the ultimate test. Thanks for your professional video content. After watching the full video it now makes sense, I seen you coming past the railway ( union mills) then didn't see you again. Good luck for the rest of the season and hope to see you next year at the iom.

Really enjoyed your vids over this past fortnight. They give a great insight into what a privateers experience of the TT is like. Thanks for posting and taking us along for the ride.

A slightly anti-climactic ending, but better safe than sorry. As you say it should be fun. The weather is always so unpredictable for road racing. A totally brilliant series of reports preparing for and experiencing the IOM TT. Wonderful presentation. Great gang of guys. Good Luck for the future. 👍

I've enjoyed all your TT vids guys. Well done. The memories are yours forever.
Any rider that has ever really tried to push, knows that your retirement from Seniors is a decision based on experience and rationality. Its a state of mind aswell as body and bike. Good lad 👏👏 you did right. 👍👍
I'd give anything to ride Bray Hill Flat Out with a Crowd.... just once.
The bonus for me is.... that I've found your channel 👍👍 so im looking forward to more bike antics v soon.

    Gday Dave.
    Bless the crazy TH-cam algorithm.
So it gave me for the first time your BMW big bike TT prep video the other week. And I’ve Subbed and enjoyed every video since.
So impressed equally with your mechanical and riding prowess. 👌🏼

Been great getting these updates through the TT, a very honest look at what the fortnight looks like away from the front-runners.
Thanks for the updates, glad you got out on the big bike in the end!
