The Fógues - Dirty Old Town (Live in Kenmare)

The Fógues returned to the wonderful Carnegie Arts Centre in Kenmare for their first concert of 2024. The audience were treated to an array of familiar songs, both old and new, aswell as a selection of new material that is yet to be released.
Here we have Dirty Old Town, written by Ewan MacColl about Salford, an area just outside Manchester. Famous versions include that of Luke Kelly and The Dubliners, The Pogues and more recently, The Tumbling Paddies and many more on the folk/ballad scene.
