Used the spead method useing 250 some snow geese decoys had about 50 in the decoys and about 100 more locked and coming down thanks for the info really helped big time!!!
Thanks for the info... went on my first goose hunt last sunday... my cousin and I could call them in but I could tell they didnt like something about our spread. They would circle around and start in but would hit the brakes and take off. We will try somethings you suggested and see what happends next weekend.
Can you get a more snow geese with 48 decoys or would you be wasting your time trying to hunt them with that many? I’m new to this snow geese hunting and just trying to get the hang of it all within a short time of going out hunting for them.
Bobby where are you doing most of your hunting?? What state?? Just curious... I have several hundred bean and corn fields in N.W. Indiana.. Early season have proven to be really good this year. I appreciate all your tips and tricks ..they're a great help!
Good advice is to understand your shadow, I have been working geese for the past few years and the thing I notice most is I can sit in a chair wearing orange and they will land, this however will spook them every time and they will not land, 1st is your shadow silhouette if it looks like a man change positions they will tee off on that. 2nd is facing never look up at them when they are working where they can see your face keep y8head down and your silhouette shape weird. 3rd is movement even just blowing a call simple small movements they key in on even in a layout they see the flap move a little and there gone. If you can keep still and have no silhouette and no face shine at them your going to get them to commit. Decoys a good rule of thumb is 18 will get you some geese.

I hunt a alfalfa/hay cow field. Geese come in all the time. Just curious if you have a video of that type of field hunt?
