LOL. I liked it, though, especially for Wonder Woman; it's her BOSS music. She was savage in this film. But some scenes could've done without it.

Exactly. It was 10 years in the making. They took their time. DC has it all wrong. First off, they killed Superman way too soon. No character development, except for Wonder Woman, and AquaMan. Plus, they really never got into Batman's story. Flash didn't get his stand alone movie, and neither did Cyborg. I still want to see the Snyder cut, though.
I remember the high energy of the audience when I saw Infinity War. People were yelling, cheering, laughing. I'll never forget the crowd's reaction when Dr. Strange battled Thanos. I was so damned impressed! I was like, "Okay, I see you Doc! I see you!!"
Then all that energy just died when everyone in the movie starting dying. We were stunned. I was ALL choked up when Spiderman was pleading. ☹️😖😢😭

Not better than End Game, but it wasn’t supposed to be. It definitely didn’t feel like 4 hours to me. I was ALL IN! I was there for ALL 4 hours. Steppanwolf was WAAAAAAAY better!

Im a DC/WB movie hater and Marvel movie fanboy but the Snider cut was Fire and I wasnt ready. It had me on the edge of my seat for 4 hours in the middle of the damn morning lol. I get it was long but he gave us everything for the fans

Cyborg should have had his own movie with special cameo by wonder woman probably in an end credit scene
DC needs its own Studios like Marvel has. That way they have more power over their characters and more say so. They need to get a Kevin Feigeesk type of head hauncho that has a passion for storytelling and is a DC nerd. Then they can use WB as a Distributor to put their movies out. An arrangement similar to Marvel Studios and Disney. They need better casting directors as well and a plan

Disagree about Steppenwolf ...his motivations were definitely different in this film. I didn’t like the slowmo but overall a way better film.
I agree, it felt like this time around he was working for a greater cause. Like by the end I felt that Darkseid was COMING

It didn't feel super long for me, I enjoyed it. Steppenwolf was in heavy debt w/ 50k worlds. WHEW. I did think it was interesting a lot of people of color were cut in the 2017 version...😒 there were some scenes, like the singing for aquaman wasn't necessary for me, Diana's/Amazons song every time on the screen- WHY!? We get it.
That singing sis was creepy as hell. Then she had the nerve to smell his sweater 😵
They did Ray Fisher dirty in 2017 😤 John Stewart was going to be in Snyder's version too but WB is gonna do a Green Lantern Corp movie/series on HBOmax 😕

I think the singing represents how people put too much faith in heroes. They looked at aqua man as a god not just a hero which is the theme in bvs as well.
In this version Flash and Cyborg were nothing but the Truth. Wonder Woman was a straight up savage.
What the JL did to Steppenwolf was a straight up F you to Darkseid. Then to have them stand outside the Boom Tube looking at Darkseid like “What up son? What you gone do?”
I hope WB/DC truly restores the SnyderVerse because I want to see what Darkseid does next as he said to Desaad they will use “the old ways”.

If you watch the Snyder cut of Batman vs Superman, it flows right into Snyder’s Justice League. If you are a DC fan, this is the movie you’ve been waiting for besides the animated ones. Solid 10/10 and I’m watching it again for the 3rd time today 😂

How many DIDN'T show up though because they knew it would probably be a chopped up mess like the theatrical of BvS? Why is this compared to end game when it should be compared to the first avengers movie? Marvel had the opportunity to build up to endgame and we all know the DC story

I disagree with you bro. The Snyder cut was amazing. I'm a Marvel fanboy and I think this movie was amazing. It is dope AF. I loved the fact that he actually made me care about Cyborg's character this time.

I can understand some people can't through a 4 hour movie, however if you can binge through popular shows on netflix etc that are 6 episodes, you can do the same for this movie. I know some people that can't sit through a 4 hour movie but I do think they are just complaining for the sake of it. And like others...Ultron was a weak villain...I mean what's so memorable in Avengers 2 that he did was great??? This movie is better than the one we got in 2017 and that's a fact. If this was in theaters and it was 4 hours long, then that's a different story.
It's probably because people feel obligated to finish a movie once it starts; whereas, in a series there are obvious end points. I watched ZSJL all the way; it didn't feel *that* long, but there where definitely scenes that could've been clipped.
My back up plan was to bail out and finish it later if I wasn't feeling it, but it was good enough that I didn't have to do that.
I'm in the minority in that I loved Ultron. As a copy of Stark, Ultron was just funny to me. The way he accidentally cut off Claws' arm was classic.
FAM that movie got more slow motion in its pinky toe nail then all 10eps of any show I binge. Miss me with that!! A show that ppl binge keeps them locked in wanting more. There was so little of that movie I can look at and say "yeah gimme more of that"

You know what's lacking! A great concept!!!Justice League is thrown together. It's a collage of 2 semi-origin stories (Flash and Cyborg) and a continuation of 2 bad films (Aquaman and Batman v Supermam) in addition to throwing in Wonder Woman who is doing perfectly fine without them
Wonder Woman was doing fine until WW84...now...she needs help like Batman and Superman 😄😄.
That movie would've been much more interesting, if Steppenwolf kept everything for himself and lied to Darkside.

The snyder cut was far more better than the bullshit version we got. Definitely not better than infinity war or endgame, but i felt more stakes in this movie than the bs version so i was more on edge this time. Yeah but if you read up on Darkseid, the person we see is actually a projection of his real self which is in another dimension, if he were to transfer himself into that universe he’s in, he’s literally larger than that universe....Thanos is overrated, Watch Death Battle between them two.

I actually love this cut this saved the DCE in my opinion especially after the tragedy that was WW1984. WW is my favorite character outside of batman
*All major superhero movies need to be 3-4 hours long, no way we can have a full film without it and even doing a Part 1 and 2 type films...I enjoyed this way better than the original. But I swear they better fix the Flash’s running in future films*

Those Animated movies are better than the DCEU, The MCU, Met-U and everything else. They have been reigning in the animated field for so long it is ridicules. I really enjoyed the snyder cut but you def right.
💯 Someone said it's because the DC characters are based more on fantasy so its hard to present the characters in live action. The Marvel characters are based more on science so more believable seeing the characters interact in a movie. I would love to see the Marvel machine takeover the DC properties.

The Snyder cut was good but it doesn't correct all the mistakes made in prior films. Still one of Snyder's best films.

Can't say I agree with you on this Tony. Respectully, I loved this new version since things were far more fleshed out. And Ultron was hot garbage when it comes to villains. He was one of the worse villains in them MCU movies. Didn't feel like a 4 hour movie to me. And the fight scenes were far more intense

And the fact that I have seen self proclaimed marvel fanboys and fangirls saying Snyder's justice league was dope let's me know I am not alone in feeling this way lol

Justice League isn't better than Endgame, but I disagree with Tony's "not the same stakes" point solely because of the Flash scene during the final battle. Technically the Justice League lost worse than the Avengers, just the Justice League movie turned back time way faster than Endgame (it's only as I'm typing this that I'm realizing how similar the overall plot points actually are)
I also find it hard to believe that Superman would have died in that explosion but he died in his second movie so I guess he's not that tough or fast

Ultron was a terrible villian imo. I loved the Justice League Snyder Cut. Steppenwolf was improved so much from the last movie. Flash scenes were so dope, Cyborgs story was fire too. I don't see how you didn't dig it.

I felt EVERY PIECE of this review. Took all the words outta my mouth. Better movie, I would've given it a B- but the length of this movie took it down a whole letter grade. I felt all four hours
I love the father/son stories...Superman and the voices of his father & Earth father as he came back to life, The Flash visiting his dad in prison (Thanks Zack, for not making the Black kid the one with a single parent in prison!), and the best father/son story of all ..CYBORG & his scientist father. And the black hero had 2 parents who were married and supportive of their son. That was beautiful to see and I want Joss to explain why he cut all the stories of the Black & Asian characters?
The Snyder Cut was a lot more aligned to the JL animated film, Justice League: War, which shows the nightmare future with JL enslaved under Darkseid's will. With Batman leading the unlikely rebel alliance to free Superman. The Prologue in the Snyder Cut basically shows this future. I would say that if the Snyder cut was originally released DCU would have more momentum. It would have been nice if Christopher Nolan's writing skills were used for DC after the Batman Trilogy he wrote/directed.
I agree but nolans batman was far too mission impossible. NOBODY was scared of that batman and fear is his ultimate weapon
if this version of the movie was released in theaters it would have been a slam dunk it's just the first movie and would have been a perfect setup for the justice league universe. avengers had hella movies and setup. tony you bias as hell on this review, And this film quality is better than all the cartoon marvels been producing

Na steppenwolf presence felt more profound in Snyder cut and he was literally powerful and defeating everyone up until Superman arrived. You might’ve zoned out a little on this one tony strongly disagree with you my brother .
Low key I think part of what's missing is that over the top ass narrator "MEANWHILE BACK AT THE HALL OF JUSTICE" occasionally chiming. And that spacey galactic sound when they jump cut to different scenes... well placed of course.

Loved the film! No it’s not like Marvel and it doesn’t suppose to be. DC has their own vibe and story telling and I truly enjoyed this cut over the other one.
Tony was spitting huge facts about the energy and feeling you felt watching endgame in the theaters.
1. Cap lifting Thor’s hammer made everyone go insane. Like literally everyone was like OH SHIT
2. When Sam told cap “on your left” and everyone came back starting with Black Panther I fucking teared up and a lot of other folks did especially when Spider-Man came back
3. The captain marvel scene when she destroys thanos ship and his face was priceless. That made the theater go crazy.
4. The I am Iron Man scene till this day makes me tear up
DC has never made a movie where you had these type of feels. I just saw the new suicide squad trailer and that itself looks terrible.
All those moments you mentioned happens in the last ten minutes of the whole movie 🍿🍿

Seeing Endgame in theaters was, by far, the most energetic movie experience of my life. You could feel every emotion in the audience around you. When Black Panther came back, man, the whole theater jumped to their feet and cheered. People were audibly crying, hugging each other, high-fiving... DC will never reach that level with their booboo-baggins world building.
Endgame was a reminiscence piece, recalling MCU past to build an emotional crescendo...aka Disney's bread and butter...but as an overall movie it was mediocre ..the movie was over 3hrs and only really entertaining the last 30mins...having emotional attachments to one off scenes doesnt excuse sht*tty writing and character archs..

Zack Snyder's cut (outside of the the Batman trilogy) is, by far, the best DC superhero movie to date. But, nothing beats Endgame!
You should really check out DC's animated movies because they are far superior to their live action.

4 hours was ENTIRELY too long. There weren’t enough differences in the movie to warrant that. I agree with you. It definitely didn’t make it a great movie but it was better, I guess. Lol.
And NOTHING compares to Infinity War and Endgame. Our theater experience was like nothing I could’ve imagined. One of my favorite memories. Good review!

From the jump Tony you're comparing MCU End game to Snyder cut. Stop it... Let DCEU be it's separate thing. 4hrs wasn't long, it gave great insight and character development to Barry Allen and Victor Stone.
If they did their universe right, they wouldn't need to make a 4 hour movie where they introduce the majority of the team.

I wish I could explain all the things he was confused about. Like Superman doesnt have "reverbrating screams". Darkseid was literally waiting for Superman to die to steal the motherboxes. He helped in the creation of Doomsday just for that reason. The screams was just an indication of the opening Darkseid needed. And the motherboxes reconozing no one was there powerful enough for them to become one and stop Darkseid.

Why would he wait for Superman to die if
1. He doesn't know where Earth is
2. He could have come back to Earth at any point in the thousands of years between his first visit and Superman's arrival.
Answer: It's a plot contrivance to get Darkseid in the movie.

They should’ve had kalibak as the main villain. Due to him being Darkseids son and is WAY more well known than steppenwolf would’ve made for deeper storytelling in my opinion. Still a dope movie tho

I think the comparison to Endgame is crazy. Endgame was the culmination of like a 20+ film story arc.
If anything it’s more like The Avengers(2012).
But I think it’s well deserving of 4 mics. Better story. More cohesion. Tons of character development. Stephonwolf was a better character with a better design and a real goal.

He didn't mention it but Wonder Womans scene with the bank robbers in the beginning was WAAAAAAAYYYYY BETTER! Best scene in the movie for me.

I think it’s on the same scale as End game. And I think by you going to the theaters to watch One and not the other does change your overall outlook on it. I loved both honestly. One is light, the other is dark. But, you’re right, it’s not “better” than End game
They shouldve done a batman movie first but it features Diana and Clark, to establish the founders of the league as a unit. Something like Lex is funding the joker and some other villains (which could also be the beginnings of the league of villans). Then you give flash and cyborg their own movie which could help establish their friendship.
With all that, the way batman and diana bring the team together doesnt feel so random (not the best word). DC is so afraid to do the Marvel model, that the missed an opportunity to build it their own way. So they tried to cram a bunch of solo movies into 1. Those characters are too deep to have to establish in one movie. Or you end up with a really long one....👀. You definitely see Synder's effort though. Gotta respect it.
