The price and materials are very disappointing for the Note20... if they had either lowered to price to like 800 dollars, or replaced the plastic with matte glass while keeping the price the same, the phone would have been so much better.

Flossy Carter the highest i would pay for this is $500. but even apple can put glass backs on their $500 phone. this is a really disappointing release from samsung :( the ripoff is so blatant!

Floss, I took your advice-- had an iPhone for the past 5 years decided it was time to switch it up. Switched to a Note20 Ultra 5 gangster in White Shoes White. It's amazing. There is definitely a learning curve but it's a long way from my HTC DNA in 2014. Your videos are the reason I went with the Note series vice the S series. Thank you for all the insight!

Same here, upgraded from a note 9 to note 20 ultra. Got the phone 2 days ago and it is by far the best phone I have ever used. The 120hz screen is amazing in person.

Tbh the problem is not the back being plastic, it's more about the price, that phone would be fine if it wasn't so much expensive
If it was only that I can let it slide. The bigger problem is that the display is way worse, cameras are worse, worse spen and bigger hole punch (not a big deal but still). That is insane!
I think it’s bullshit that Samsung charges $1,000 for a plastic backed phone. If they’re charging that much it should be better built and also have support for at least five years.

This is gonna be me tomorrow bro. My Note 8 was working fine up until about last month. Now it's slow as hell but the big boy Ultra will be arriving tomorrow
I got mine in the mail today the front camera on my ultra is bad...the display overall is not impressive i think its because of the glass used on the screen. The color saturation is nothing to write home about I'm actually thinking of returning it though i was looking forward to it.

Honestly, I actually like the curved display. I have the Note 10 as my daily driver and the curves make it feel more premium. This is my own opinion and I know yours will be different.
@@wayynnee I've had the Note 3 & 5 now I got the 9. For S pen purposes flat screen is better for writing edge to edge. I want it to feel like writing in a note book since that's what the note is short for imo. So the edges make it difficult. Other than that the edges do make it seem premium.

I have to admit, I was surprised by the quality of the pictures done with zooming in on Shoes. Even with the lower specs than the Note 20 Ultra, the Note 20 is probably better than 99% of the other devices out there, even the iPhones. Great review, Floss.

Idk flossy, last year's note 10 started at 256gb of storage and glass back for $1000. even after trade-in it feels like a rip off.
I have the note 10 plus and I'm sticking with that. I had the 9 plus and upgraded because it seemed worth it. This just doesn't do it for me lol.
I have the standard note 10 and for one thing I can say... the battery life isn't the greatest. I'm charging the phone at least twice a day. Display is great, s-pen of course awesome, cameras are a little meh but I don't take much pictures so I guess it's good. Overall not a bad standard model, though with the Note 20 that's a different story. I've also had the note 10 for close to 8 months now

I'm glad someone finally mentioned the trade-in program. Samsung is offering ridiculous amounts for quite a few different phones-which ends up making the out of pocket expenditure on the non-Ultra a surprisingly decent value.
I pre-ordered the Note 20 Ultra, I've NEVER been more excited for a phone.
Love this video! Honestly I prefer the plastic back. My last Samsung had a glass back and It broke really easily after a few drops. Makes it harder to trade in if you would like to trade in eventually.

Great video. I'm over the curved screens and that big camera bump so I actually think the standard Note 20 looks better. Losing a microsd slot and the laser autofocus makes it a harder decision though.
