      Congratulations! How are you doing now? I had my intracept procedure done in Jan 2023, in CO by my pain management surgeon and I'm pain free now! So grateful!

    While I was living in NY you treated my lower back pain with trigger point injections as well as RFA. I continue to have trigger point injections in SC where I reside but quite recently they are not effective. I watched your video and it seems I am a candidate. I recently had an MRI done and don't mind coming to NY for this procedure. I have Medicare.

      Hello there. I cannot make specific treatment comments on this platform. Reach out to the office to do a telemedicine visit and we can review. I would need access to the MRI in advance. Thx

    Thank you for video. Do you have any videos or information on carm angles for this procedure?

    • @DrEdwardSRubin
      @DrEdwardSRubin  ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty technical, but in short... Square endplate at target level. Oblique until facet joint bisects the vertebral body. Usually come in at 45 degree angle to pedicle.

    I have less than 2 weeks to make a decision to do this or not. 😬 I'm 9 mos out from breaking L1 and pain at L4/L5 and failed medial nerve block. I can't find much info on the immediate recovery (wound care, soreness/pain from procedure, activity limitations) because it will all be self-care for me. I'm so stressed out about this.

    Thanks

      I cannot comment on specific cases, but sorry to hear it did not help you. See the video on Reactiv8 as that may be an option for patients who failed Intracept. Also I have seen it take 6 mo for full effect from the Intracept as well

    why is this not for someone with pain running down their legs.

    • @DrEdwardSRubin
      @DrEdwardSRubin  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is only indicated for low back pain. Not sciatica pain

    What is the difference between this procedure and having the nerve burnt? Or is it just another name for it?

    • @DrEdwardSRubin
      @DrEdwardSRubin  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This procedure targets and burns the basivertebral nerve which is different than a median branch nerve to a facet joint

    Hello Thank you for taking the time to explain this treatment your information is helpful, I would like to ask a question on behalf of my Sister if she has had several back surgeries, as well as previous epidurals what are the odds that this treatment may help for the knees isn't the pain from the same nerve running down from the back my sister has been in excruciating pain for over 20yrs. Thank You in advance for your response. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

    • @DrEdwardSRubin

      This procedure is strictly for low back pain. Would not help with the knees
