My mum and I also went to the Military Tattoo, and I will never forget when the host called every country's name, and we jump up when he called "Taiwan!" i’ve lived in edinburgh for most of my life-I absolutely love it there! the architecture & atmosphere is so amazing & its got big city stuff but a small town vibe. everything is walkable too & there’s loads of nice places to eat

I travelled to Edinburg in 2016 during the last month of my internship in London. It was soo nice and I could enjoy the city doing what I wanted. The days were pretty rainy and cloudy but it made it even nicer. Loved my time in the UK. It was my first experience travelling alone and staying alone in a hostel sharing a room with many other people xD

It was so great watching this because with your interrail vlogs you inspired me to go on a solo interrail trip myself and within that trip I’ve also been to Edinburgh for two days. And guess what I’ve even stayed in the same hostel and did the ceilidh!! I was so excited to see you experience the same things and love it just as much as I did ❤️❤️

Calton Hill is the best place in the city to watch the sun go down. A couple of Fridays ago I was us there, there was a mini rave going on in the car park and on the path round the front, overlooking the city centre, was a woman playing the harp. Magic.

I went to Edinburgh for my first solo trip when I was 19 years old and I stayed in the same hostel! I'm pretty outgoing but I had a very similar experience when entering the common room for the first time, I was very overwhelmed by all the people and just ended up exploring the city on my own. Later that evening I went back and met some cool people. So much fun to see you in the same place, I really loved Edinburgh for solo travel and this hostel was awesome!

I currently live near Glasgow, I’m still in school but my dream is to study at Edinburgh uni. I went to Edinburgh not so long ago for a two day trip and I fell in love with the place even more! I loved the national museum of Scotland and the Scottish national art gallery, that was the day I decided I wanted to study in Edinburgh as it is such a lovely city (also great place to get your cardio in with all the stairs and hills! 😂)

Edinburgh is my hometown so when I see people fangirling over it it makes me cringe because I’m so used to walking through the streets, seeing the old town and all the touristy spots 😂 the fringe is amazing but people from the city grow very tired of the chaos the ensues when it’s happening and how difficult it is to get around
I lived in Edinburgh for 4 years for my studies and I miss it so fucking much :,) I'm so glad you enjoyed the city, it *is* one of my favourite place in the world Also I got to go to the fringe for the first time this summer! Edinburgh is one of my favourite cities to visit, so much to do. I've gone off-season so it's nowhere near as hectic and the castle is just stunning.

I agree; there is absolutely a special vibe to Edinburgh - I go to the Fringe whenever I can and love doing a combination of seeing shows and visiting local historical sights

I currently live near Glasgow, I’m still in school but my dream is to study at Edinburgh uni. I went to Edinburgh not so long ago for a two day trip and I fell in love with the place even more! I loved the national museum of Scotland and the Scottish national art gallery, that was the day I decided I wanted to study in Edinburgh as it is such a lovely city (also great place to get your cardio in with all the stairs and hills! 😂)

Omg we went to Edinburgh for one whirlwind day and it was so fun. I totally get what you mean about feeling like you’re in a book in the old town, and it was so cool to see places i recognised seeing as you were exploring!

Most of the time people are busy with own life own insecurity and own business I practiced even going to the movies alone and figured those who judge that are just insecure about being alone themselves had not much to do with me

Edinburgh is my hometown so when I see people fangirling over it it makes me cringe because I’m so used to walking through the streets, seeing the old town and all the touristy spots 😂 the fringe is amazing but people from the city grow very tired of the chaos the ensues when it’s happening and how difficult it is to get around

I lived in Edinburgh for 4 years for my studies and I miss it so fucking much :,) I'm so glad you enjoyed the city, it *is* one of my favourite place in the world
Also I got to go to the fringe for the first time this summer! It was a whole other experience of the town and I can't wait to go again next year
