Middle Eastern here and I really loved your video. It was really interesting to see a point of view of someone who isn’t from here trying out Arabic scents but to be honest these perfumes are so hyped on TikTok and all but in our countries they aren’t so popular, like I only know Yara because it’s sold in the supermarket. We have a lot of trendy and amazing perfume brands here that I never see any TH-camrs speak about but they are literally so popular where I am that when I go to the mall they are all I smell. The most popular brands here are Gissah, Anfasic Dokhoon, Hind AlOud, Ateej and Atyab Al Marshoud. Plus we have many small owned business that make amazing and unique fragrances.

I have numerous middle eastern fragrances. For those new to them, my advice would be to let them sit if you’re not sure about them at first. Kayali fragrances are like that too for me. I’ve had a few middle eastern fragrances that I wasn’t impressed with when I first got them. A couple I thought were kind of gross at first. After they sat, I’m SO glad I didn’t declutter them! I absolutely love them now!

    • @ml.3873

    • @amberdawn8128
      @amberdawn8128 ปีที่แล้ว +11

@@ml.3873 just depends on the fragrance. Some were just a few weeks. Others I just put away and didn’t reach for them until the next season. Fall/winter fragrances would just sit until the next fall/winter and then I’d try them again. I have a huge collection of fragrances so it’s easy to let some sit for however long. I’d say just check them periodically and see how/if they change.

So I was born and raised in Dubai and grew up wearing Arabian fragrances and oud/attar (perfumed oils) and Bakhoor (I smoke my clothes and my body after showers and I smell heavenly for sooo long istg) and one of the perfumed oils (Attar) that I don't see many people talking about are the ones from "Afnan". It's super affordable and lasts sooo long, I use the "Dehn Al Oud" attar from Afnan and the "Musk Abiyedh" attar from Afnan. They're soo soo nice and the layering potential is so incredibly good, especially the musk one layers well with most fragrances. I was gonna gatekeep these haha but you have to try!

I did a review of Ana Abiyedh and you are spot on about it being long lasting. It survived on my clothes after a wash cycle! If you want something that stays with you, Ana Abiyedh is it AND the cost is out of this world. Spray lightly!

Yes! Lattaffa is litrerally that girl. The Middle Easterns are long and strong.! Been meaning to pick up Casablanca. Yara has been the #1 forever. Chocolate musk I like to wear to bed for some reason. Lattaffa Oud Mood and flankers are strong and spicy like Opulent Musk and flankers. Harem Al Sutan is a fruity booty patootie! Ana Abiyedh and the flankers are strong perfection! Crown Perfum’s Soft is a cloud of soapy goodness. The ME fragrances last ALL DAY! And be careful not to spray too much!

Some of my favorite Middle Eastern perfumes are Khamrah, Nebras, Andaleeb, Yara, Ana Abiyedh Rouge and Ansaam Gold. Ones I want to try are Sakeena, Sondos, Amber Oud and Nasheet to name a few.

I have a few of the same ones you have. I’d recommend trying to get your nose on Sondos. It has a metallic note on my skin. I’m letting it sit for a while before I decide if I’m keeping it in my collection. As of now, I don’t wear it. The opening is great but the drydown goes weirdly metallic on me.

Amber Oud Gold edition is a banger though. When I first got it, all it smelled like was melon. I didn’t like it. HOWEVER, I let it sit for a while and I’m killing the bottle so far this summer. It definitely aged well!!

Hi, Ksenja, here in Spain everyone is buying arab perfumes. As always, I am late, because buying a perfume without actually smelling it before make me very nervous, but at last I'll receive Yara tomorrow. And I'm very glad to know you find it similar to Cheirosa and with a tropical vibe, because some people keep saying it smells like an strawberry yoghourt, and I prefer your description. Hope you're right 😘

@@Puppylove82-gv3gmSorry I didn't answer before, summer is very hot in Sevilla and I couldn't try Yara properly on my skin till the end of september. And yes, I like It very much, it's a compliment getter and for the price, no complains. It is a kind, sweet perfume with a holiday vibe, easy going... I am sure I'm going to🎉 enjoy this fruity-lactonic smoothie, and my younger daughter and her friends, they actually LOVE it

@@Lovely-ff7uvI've just updated it in my answer to Poppylove82, I hope you find It useful. I don't think this perfume has a tropical vibe, on my skin is a creamy cake with some jelly fruits on the top, but not too sweet.

I didn't use it much but my daughter(17)and her classmates even the other students, she doesn't know, stop her and ask her about it. It's just for 18 euros... Her friends both boys and girls keep on smelling her... And most of them bought it too... I like it but don't love it... Though it's a pleasent fragrance... I think for youngsters it's a good middle eastern brand... I like their 9AM and supermacy scents also the rare Tiffany is a love

Lattafa Nebras - first few sprays I wasn't sure, because faint licorice was off putting, but after a week, that licorice disappeared completely, and parfume deepened even more into choc cake smell. Nothing artificial about it, OMG, such an addictive parfum, I can wear it all day every day.
Khamrah is very very popular, but to me very off putting because of the prominent smoke. I didn't realise smokey feel really chokes me, in any parfume, and smoke doesn't disappear, so Khamrah is no to me. The sweetness is very nice, but I have to choke on smoke for like 6h before I get dates, pralines etc. Also, with Khamrah, it is not so "well rounded" as Nebras is.
Shaghaf oud (gold bottle) is very very synthetic smelling to me. I will wait a bit longer, so see if it get better later on. It is a dense scent, but not projecting well at all. Very strange. If synthetic bit does not disappear, I will not purchase that one.
Al rehab French Coffee is literally like a coffee candy. Strong coffee, but I would not wear it on its own (a bit boring - one dimensional). So I will layer it with others and experiment. I moved into Arabic parfumes because of sweetness. I like sweetness in every parfume. High Street brands are off putting to me, because many of them have strong floral notes, which I cannot handle at all. I dont like opium at all. I don't like any Chanel type. I liked Dior J'adore dfor a while, but it became later too floral again, and sold it. My only favourite was Dior Dolce Vita, which used to be an amazing scent, they changed '90s formula, and now is watery in comparison to the original, I wouldn't pay £30 for it, let alone £100+...this is just my experience. Parfume scent is very personal thing, but quality is very important. If they smell synthetic, that is a big nono. I dont like any synthetic baby powdery or air freshener scents either. My best oud scent is Venezia Monotheme Black Oud (sold in M&S), very sweet but light oud, not synthetic at all, and good staying power. Best price on MakeUp website, an absolute bargain for such a good quality parfume in my opinion. Well rounded, like high end perfume to me. Completely unisex, bought 2 bottles for my husband, now I stole one for myself 😁😁😁

I am intrigued by Yara. I added it to my “wishlist”
Currently on perfume buying ban for 2 months lol
I got choco musk both oil and the perfume bottle. And I think I got unlucky. Based on fragrnetica reviews , it seems they make different batches.
So some batch smell very potent and delicious. And the one I got, seems to have zero fragrance.
I let it age for a month or two, and I can get the vanilla scent now. Reminds me of Solinotes vanilla one, and bath and body works Warm Vanilla Sugar.
I am hoping if I age it for few more months, it will get more potent. Let’s see
Also intrigued by Casablanca, but La Belle (I like it but it’s too sour for me) comparison making me a little nervous to blind buy it
But if it is gonna be sweet (the vanilla dry down of Vanilla 28 vs the floral opening) like vanilla 28, then I would love it
