At our first visit, they put something to his eyes that made him feel so uncomfortable and his eyes were watering this took for like 15-20 mins. The next few days he was scheduled for the surgery. Very fast surgery only like less than 30 mins then he was out of the room but he needs to wear sunglasses for one week. He is not allowed to look in the sun, or any light directly without glasses even at work he goes there wearing sunglasses. Good bye glasses he is now seeing crystal clear. @H20 I am not a doctor, and can only comment on my own situation. I did the research, and the statistics were worth the risk (to me). I did need LASIK correction a few years ago, but that was due to being older, and I went to "mono vision". That's where they correct only one eye; one can see distance and the other close up. Mono vision eliminates the need for bifocals, and it has been terrific. You should do the research and have a doctor see if you are a good candidate. My two cents, anyhow! Good luck with your decision - if it were me, I would do it all over again.

Guys, there is no pain during the procedure. Looking at it from this perspective is also not how you will be looking at it from the patient perspective. Yes, it looks scary and painful, but it isn't. You get numbing drops in your eye that numb your eye, you don't feel a thing. The only sensations you will feel are "ticklish" sensations from your doctor as he or she uses a sponge tool to soak up some of the liquid that their other tool puts in your eye.

@@tigerdanny7296 i made this comment 10 years ago lol, funny. Actually after about 5 years after my surgery I had to get glasses again. The reason is because, my eyes, were not done growing yet. Your eyes can continue to change shape into your 20s, so you should really only get lasik after a number of years of no change in prescription. Unfortunately, not all the lasik places tell you this, they will offer things like corrective procedures for free sometimes. Basically, I don't think its true your eye sight will get worse from too much tv or mobilephone, however, I do think it is possible that your eye sight can worsen because lasik was done before your eyes are done changing.

@SasukeIsPwnage You don't need to blink because we put lubricating drops in your eye so they dont dry out. Your natural reflex to blink goes away after the local anaesthetic because it numbs the eye. If you're claustrophobic or really concerned, you can also have a sedative and will probably sleep through the whole thing anyway!

I've got my 6/6 vision within 24 hrs, slight blurry episodes are there but hopefully will get better with time, Alhamdulillah no other complications at all.
Pain, tears, irritation, and discomfort etc started 30-45 minutes after surgery and lasted for 5 hrs and thereafter everything was fine.
Femto lasik is much safer than lasik or PRK.

I got this surgery done less than 24 hours ago. I just wanna say it is worth it. I panicked during the surgery and that made things harder for me and the doctor but overall the hard part of the recovery was done in 2 hours exactly by 4 hours I was feeling much better with some discomfort pressure like feeling behind the eyes as if I cried but my vision was better. Now it’s been around 19 hours and my vision is great my eyes are obviously still reddish and swollen but that’s normal, and I’m left with mild discomfort I don’t need even painkillers or nothing. It’s worth it.

That’s might be a hard choice. The first option is that you will wear glasses for the rest of your life. The second option is that you will have surgery, but you will feel the whole experience when you get an incision in your eye. But obviously, I’d choose the second one. 15 minutes and you’re all done. Enjoy the perfect vision for the rest of your life and forget about the glasses/lenses.
    P. S. The operation doesn’t last for 15 minutes. It is actually about 1.5 min or so (for each eye). And also you have an anesthesia.

Doctors informed me to use eye drop for 3 months, but I used 2 months😐 May be that's why my left eye have little issue, but it's negotiable. Bcz I did checkup of my eyes again, & as per doctor they don't recommend spect. There is only difference of 0.5. But I'm happy with this surgery. This surgery will be more successful in the age of 25 & for me the cost of this surgery is overall 45k.
