I think it’s the hatchery fish that are ‘endangered’ not the native. A few years ago we made our first trip to Neah Bay for mid September run that’s suppose to be in the straits , “there’ll be blood in the water “ they said. Well with 26 fish to the boat we were only able to keep one with the right number of fins., so we when bottom fishing too.
@@Northwestfishingfanatics thought I replied, but thanks for getting back to me. I did end up finding very similar ones on the Gibbs fishing website, incase anyone’s interested
Nice haul!
Thanks. And thanks for watching.
Wow what a great fishing trip 🐟🎣🐟🎣
@@dougstiehl3133 thanks. It was fun alright 👍 nice to have less room in the freezer. 😆
That was awesome. I miss ocean fishing
@@stacyoberg775 Nothing like it. It is so peaceful 40+ miles offshore. Even with other boats around. Thanks for watching.

@@taco472 They're not raising as many and clipping fewer to reduce our catch and claim they're saving wild salmon. 😜
^^beat me to it, I was gonna say how many of those ones with extra fins were raised in a hatchery?
I really miss fishing at westport with my grandfather
Thanks for watching.
At about 5:15 there were some downrigger ball holders, by chance you know where your buddy got those?
@@Marty-PNW I'll ask.

We Wana take our boat out of Westport 26ft trophy wish ther were more people who would offer go with us and show us how to cross the bar
It's a big undertaking just to get a crew together. Work schedules, weather, tides, you almost need people on call 24/7.
I’m assuming it’s okay to keep that snagged fish because you caught it from so deep that if you released it, it would’ve died anyways. Correct?
@@BigBoiJohnny1 There is no anti snagging rule in the ocean.
