    Hi Jim! Happy 4th! Nice upgrade here! You are giving me ideas on upgrading an older bike. I have a tapered fork sitting in my parts bin and I think I will install that on the older bike. I’ll have to make some measurements because the lower headset will need to accommodate a straight frame to the fork tube steerer taper…

    Hi Jim...nice upgrade. Keep them coming :-) The frame just begs for them. I wanted to ask you about the from derailleur...shouldnt it be a bit lower / closer the larger chain ring? Is it touching the chain stay?

      Thanks. The stock front derailleur was designed for a 3x setup, so it's got a decently long throw. I set it up to just clear what would have been the old middle ring and is now the large one. It stops about 5mm short of the chain stay.
