God is good!! The bible says to deny ourselves. We feel sad, angry and hopeless most of the times yet we knew we do not want to feel that way. So who is trapping us? we know that God is perfect, God is good. and only good things comes from Him. Maybe thats what happened to her, shes been trapped. And Christ freed her. Thank You Jesus, You are the truth, the way and the life. The only Truth we'll ever need!! Praise God!!

This may be your opinion, however, this is not what John teaches in his gospel. His primary goal is to show that Jesus is God, not only one sent by God (re-read John 1:1-18).

Alfredo Ayala Jesus being God in the flesh is described so often in the gospel of John, it bleeds through almost ever sentence of this amazing book. Not to mention, many of the epistles clearly teach that Jesus is God...and then you have the amazing book of Hebrews...I mean, seriously, you need to study the scriptures with Mike one on one, and you’ll come to a clear understanding that Jesus is God. I’m assuming you must be Mormon or Jehovah Witness? Anyway, take to heart the warning Jesus gives, ‘if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins.’ John 8:24. He claimed to be God, period end of story...and this is why the Jews wanted to rid him of the earth. I hope and pray the message of the gospel touches your heart. All the best.

I think we need to be careful about falling into the trap of ‘group think.’ There is another side of this story that makes as much sense. The woman was discouraged. She didn’t want to be with anyone else. She was seeking God, but wasn’t sure how to do so, or perhaps she felt the emptiness of not connecting with God on a deeper level. Her husbands could have died, they could have divorced her, perhaps she’s married to a Roman citizen - they could not legally marry non-citizens. Jesus doesn’t tell her to ‘leave her life of sin’, like he does the sinful woman. A whole town of people listened to her? They obviously respected this woman’s testimony, because they respected the woman herself. I’m sorry, I’m not buying the ‘group think’ message that everyone has preached, and ‘borrowed’ from each other. Jesus gave her hope of a better life, a more fulfilling life by offering her a walk with him. Oh, and I don’t think her questions are evasive (i.e. you are a prophet or where is the place of worship). I hear the words of a woman desperately wanting to know her God, and Jesus showed her the way. Just say’n. thewell.intervarsity.org/focus/revisiting-woman-well
