Dear Mayank, Please watch the Introduction class. I have told that students need to read Tamil Nadu Textbook and Old NCERT R S Sharma. This course is based on Tamil Nadu Textbook.

Hi sir..i came through the first 3 chapters which is toooo much interesting coz u thought more in english and less in hindi.. Sir, your question is right that if both were contemporary, then why they didn't meet with eachother? As per my little reading, in Buddhist Literature, there is a mention of a person named Niganthanath, who, according to many scholars, was none other than Mahavira himself. If we take this information into consideration, then it is for sure that both were, directly or indirectly, acquainted with eachother. There is one story of Buddha's female disciple named Vishakha, whose father-in-law was the follower of the Niganthas (according to Buddhist texts), but due to the influence of Vishakha, he converted to Buddhism. The description of the Nigantha monks as totally naked and they preached the different ideology than Brahmanism, makes resemblance with the Jain monks. Now possibly they also met with eachother, but due to ideological differences, the meeting between the two was not mentioned either of the party in their respective literatures.
Thank you so much sir✨️✨️✨️very well detailed explanation 👌🏻about ancient history ✨️im little bit confused about ancient india, because of complex terms in it✨️you made so easy to us to grasp these facts in ancient india✨️thank you so much sir for your effort ✨️
Sir , i dont understand in the part of budhism. Gautam budha left home at age 29. after seven year he could not get knowledge. that age is also 36. then how he got nirvana at the age of 35.
My Interest keep on increasing day by day after watching ur videos.. I started being curious to know what in going to happen next.. it's first tym in my life I m enjoying history.. Nd it become possible just coz of upsc digital library.. thank u sir..🙏🏻
in the slide of spread of jainism its mentioned stulabahu was the leader of Svetambars but again in the next line its mentioned he is the leader of digambars. So which one is correct sir?
Jainism is divided into two major sects viz. The Digambara (sky clad) sect and the Shvetambara (white clad) sect. Under the leadership of Sthalabahu, Shvetambara sect formed. Under the leadership of Bhadrabahu, the Digambara sect was formed.
19:06 sir at this point you tell that Jainism didn't recognise that there is any god But there is a statement in R.S. Sharma's old ncert which states that Jainism believe in god but place the god below the jina. Please sir clear my doubt.🧐
Please watch the first video, Introduction to Ancient Indian History. Your doubts as to what all has to be studied comprehensively for this subject will be cleared .
Sir I have one doubt that is, in the slide you have shown that swetambaras (white clad) led by Sthulabahu but while explaining you have stated that the 1st jain council under digambara leader Sthulabahu convened at Pataliputra during 3rd century BC,, shall be grateful for clearing the doubt 🙏
